The corrosion inhibitor is engineered to prevent water from entering the annular space and causing external corrosion that could result in a surface casing leak to atmosphere. The attached spreadsheet represents the well name, API and PTD numbers, top of cement depth prior to filling and volumes of corrosion inhibitor used in each conductor. As per previous agreement with the AOGCC, this letter and spreadsheet serve as notification that the treatments took place and meet the requirements of form 10 -404, Report of Sundry Operations. MPK-18A has been reclassified as Not Operable until work is completed to repair the lines and redevelop the pad. There are no downhole integrity concerns with the well. Once the surface facilities and the well are ready for injection, the well will again be reclassified. The well will be added to the quarterly AOGCC Injection Report that tracks shut-in injectors. The permit to redrill does not exempt you from obtaining additional permits required by law from other governmental agencies, and does not authorize conducting drilling operations until all other required permitting determinations are made. The blowout prevention equipment (BOPE) must be tested in accordance with 20 AAC 25.035; and the mechanical integrity (MI) of thc injection wells must bc demonstrated under 20.4AC 25.412 and 20 25.030(g)(3). Sufficient notice (approximately 24 hours) of thc MI test before operation, and of the BOPE test performed before drilling below the surface casing shoe, must be given so that a representative of the Commission ma,,' witness thc tests. Notice may be given by contacting the Commission petroleum field inspector on thc North Slope pager at 659-3607. DRILLING HAZARDS AND RISKS: Close Approaches There are no close approaches associated with the drilling of MP K-18 however tolerance lines should be carefully monitored and deviations from the proposed wellpath minimized.. Water Injection Currently no water injection wells are present on MP K-Pad Annular Injection Annular injection is not permitted on K-Pad. A total of 19,608 bbls has been injected into the K - 17 annulus. Gas Injection Currently no gas injection wells are present on K-Pad Lost Circulation- K-02 , K-05, K-06 experienced losses while circulating to condition mud while running 7" casing. K-05 and K-06 experienced lost circulation while cementing 7" csg. In every instance, losses were minimized by reducing flow rates and conditioning the mud. Stuck Pipe Potential: Watch out for formation transition intervals. Increased torque and drag have been experienced after drilling into Kuparuk, so care should be taken to avoid the stuck pipe potential while drilling the 8 1/2" production interval. Formation Pressure: KUPARUKSAND 7085' TVD 3600 PSI 9.9 PPG EMW The deepest anticipated gas should occur no deeper than the oil water contact which is expected below the Kuparuk B7 sand at + 7085 TVDSS. In this instance, this worst case surface pressure would occur with afull column of gas from the reservoir from adepth of +7085 TVDSS. The maximum anticipated surface pressure is 2939 psi in this case assuming a reservoir pressure of 3647 psi,The maximum expected pore pressure for this well is 9.9 ppg EMW at the OWC - OIL WATER CONTACTis 3,647 psi @ 7085' TVDss. There has been injection in this region from MP K- 17, however the reservoir pressure is not expected to exceed this estimate.
