Attn: Well Integrity Coordinator, PRB -20 Post Office Box 196612 Anchorage, Alaska 99519 -6612 December 30, 2011 Mr. Tom Maunder 0 © 3 Alaska Oil and Gas Conservation Commission 333 West 7 Avenue 9 r., Anchorage, Alaska 99501 1 ' V 1 Subject: Corrosion Inhibitor Treatments of MPF -Pad Dear Mr. Maunder, Enclosed please find multiple copies of a spreadsheet with a list of wells from MPF -Pad that were treated with corrosion inhibitor in the surface casing by conductor annulus. The corrosion inhibitor is engineered to prevent water from entering the annular space and causing external corrosion that could result in a surface casing leak to atmosphere. The attached spreadsheet represents the well name, API and PTD numbers, top of cement depth prior to filling and volumes of corrosion inhibitor used in each conductor. As per previous agreement with the AOGCC, this letter and spreadsheet serve as notification that the treatments took place and meet the requirements of form 10 -404, Report of Sundry Operations. If you require any additional information, please contact me or my alternate, Gerald Murphy, at 659 -5102. Sincerely, Mehreen Vazir BPXA, Well Integrity Coordinator • • BP Exploration (Alaska) Inc. ITEM 1: Classification of Service Wells: Gas injection, water injection, steam injection, air injection, salt water disposal, water supply for injection, observation, injection for in-situ combustion. ITEM 5.' Indicate which elevation is used as reference (where not otherwise shown) for depth measurements given in other spaces on this form and in any attachments. ITEM 16 AND 24: If this well is completed for separate production from more than one interval (multiple completion), so state in item 16, and in item 24 show the producing intervals for only the interval reported in item 27. Submit a separate form for each additional interval to be separately produced, showing the data pertinent to such interval. ITEM 21: Indicate whether from ground level (GL) or other elevation (DF, KB, etc.). ITEM 23.' Attached supplemental records for this well should show the details of any multiple stage cementing and the location of the cementing tool. ITEM 27: Method of Operation' Flowing, Gas Lift, Rod Pump, Hydraulic Pump, Submersible, Water Injection, Gas Injection, Shut-In, Other-explain. ITEM 28: If no cores taken, indicate 'none'. The AOGCC BOPE Test Report is attached for reference. Three failures were noted, 1 valve in the choice manifold, th~ upper kelly ibop located in the. top drive unit and the system pressure on the accumulator time test was unusually slow. The choke valve was serviced and immediately retested and passed. The top drive ibop was repaired (7 hours) and results were called into the N.S. AOGCC office. The accumlator had dirty suction filters going to the pumps, these were changed and retested. The rig is located on a very congested pad withall avenues for emergency access clean and open. Summary: I witnessed the BOPE Test on Nabors 22E, 3 failures, 23 valves, 6 hour test time. Run cement bond log. MIRU completion. NU & Test BOPE to 5000 psig. Complete well with 3-1/2" tubing. Install Surface Lines and Wellhouse and put the well on production. DRILLING HAZARDS AND RISKS: Seethe updated Milne Point F-Pad Data Sheet prepared by Pete Van Dusen for information on F pad and review recent wells drilled on F Pad. Most of the trouble time on recent wells has been due to equipment mechanical problems with the surface equipment, rather than formation drilling problems. The MPU PE group MAY be perforating, hydraulic fracturing and cleaning out wells shortly after the rig drills and completes them. This will make the near rig area congested and as a result potentially hazardous. Ensure personnel use cautioh moving around adjacent production activities. Close Approach: None. Lost Circulation: There has not been any appreciable amount of lost circulation on any of the F Pad wellls to date. Stuck Pipe Potential: Well MPF-53 was stuck coming out on the short trip at surface casing point. Proir to this incident there was only minor indications that the gravel and coal were present. It appears that we dragged the gravel up into the bottom of the curve and reduced our ability to move up o r down. Then we lost the ability to circulate when the hole collapsed. If significant gravels are encountered stop and raise funnel viscosity to 150 cp viscosity immediately. Formation Pressure: The maximum expected pore pressure for this well is 9.6 ppg EMW (3,736 psi @ 7,485' TVD). There has been no injection in this region, therefore the reservoir pressure should not exceed thi,, estimate. This file also contains the Very Enhanced QRO resisitivity with 2' average that was reprocessed at GeoQuest. The ADN quadrant outputs are as follows: ROBB/ROBU/ROBL/ROBR are bottom, upper, left, and right quadrant density; and are also listed as RHO1, RH02, RH03, RH04 in the LDWG listing. The other outputs (Delta Rho, PEF, Max. Density) are listed with their quadrants as DRHB/DRHU/DRHL/DRHR, PEB/PEU/ PEL/PER, and ROMB/ROMU/ROML/ROMR.
