Bullhead water into MPS -30SS. 2 F Bullhead treatment down MPS -30SS (OA sand). Keep well and offset producers - and injectors shut in for minimum of 2 days and flow producers to a tank before returning to production if necessary. OBJECTIVE 1. Divert water by sealing the preferential path of injection with a cement acting fluid and a rigid gel. Measure of success 1. Treatments are displaced into formation. 2. Post injection is adequate to achieve injection rate target at below target pressure. 3. Decrease of watercut over time in offset producers is observed. CRITICAL ISSUES • Ensure pumping pressure is not above the fracture gradient. • Ensure cleanliness of pump equipment and hard line (pre and post job) & properly dispose of remnant fluid per guidance from the Environmental Team. Background MPS -30 was drilled and completed as an OA/OB dual string injector in the Schrader Bluff in 2003. MPS -30 provides injection support for a number of producers including MPS -17, MPS -25, and MPS -27. After only 1 year of injection an MBE formed in the long string (OB) to producer MPS -27. However, this MBE has appeared to open and close over time which has allowed injection to stay online for periods of time. Cumulative injection into the OB is 1.3 MMBBL. More recently in February 2012 an MBE formed in the short string (OA) to MPS -25. This catastrophic MBE resulted in MPS -25 being shut in ( -900 bopd) and downsizing the jet pump in MPS -17 ( -400 bopd) to manage offtake. Prior to the MBE the short string maintained stable injection and has 2.897 MMBBL of cumulative injection into the OA. Currently MPS -25 and MPS -27 are shut in and MPS -17 is choked back due to a lack of injection support in HU 10. f • PROCEDURE Stage 1. Injection Test 1. RU, hold pre -job safety meeting, PT surface lines 2. Ensure offset producers are SI. 3. Spear in with Methanol, followed by produced water. Attempt to hold injection rate constant while adjusting pressure as needed. 4. Contact Engineering to discuss the injection pressure /rate trends. Once consensus is achieved that the fluid can be successfully placed into formation at acceptable rate /pressure continue with remainder of program. Stage 2. Treatment 5. Ensure offset producers are offline 6. Pump produced water pre -flush followed by cement acting fluid treatment and diesel displacement. Allow setup time. 7. Pump produced water pre -flush followed by high volume gel treatment and diesel over flush. 8. Capture a gel sample at surface and suspend in a warm water bath (to simulate downhole conditions) to monitor actual setting time. 9. Rig down all equipment and hold post job assessment meeting to capture !earnings to be incorporated into future jobs. 10. Forward all post job assessments (w/ all rheology test summary) and continuous pressure and rate data from job to Pad Engineer. • • Tree- SM FMC tAal s CNN d : 2 1:1 ll' x 2 8' 9.1 D,ral String M P U 5 '-'rig KB Elev. = 72 00 :''ellhead: IT tung Ong. The corrosion inhibitor is engineered to prevent water from entering the annular space and causing external corrosion that could result in a surface casing leak to atmosphere. The attached spreadsheet represents the well name, API and PTD numbers, top of cement depth prior to filling and volumes of corrosion inhibitor used in each conductor. As per previous agreement with the AOGCC, this letter and spreadsheet serve as notification that the treatments took place and meet the requirements of form 10 -404, Report of Sundry Operations. Hydrates generally occur just below the permafrost (+1- 1,800-ft TVDss) but may be present in shallower SV sands and also as deep as 3,OOO-ft. Be alert for the possibility of shallow gas and/or hydrates. Use recommended practices for drilling hydrates. · Watch out for deeper gravels below the permafrost or gravels that calve off within the permafrost and tend to drop out when the aerated hydrate gas cut mud is being circulated out. Maintain adequate viscosity. In the past, several Milne Pt wells have experienced stuck pipe from this situation. Lost Circulation · Offset wells encountered losses while running and cementing casing and only ./ one well had losses while running a hole opener. Below is a list of the wells and the lost circulating problems associated with them. We do not expect losses while drilling this well. · MPS-27: Lost returns cementing 7.0-in casing at approx. 800-ft MD. SuccessfuI1.0-in top job. · MPS-21: Lost returns cementing 7.0-in casing. Break circulation slowly in all instances and get up to recommended circulating rate slowly prior to cementing. Expected Pressures · It is unlikely there will be unexpected overpressure when drilling to the Schrader Bluff formation. Reservoir pressure is expected to be (8.65 Ib/gal EMW). In this well, the Schrader Bluff formation will be drilled with 9.1 to 9.2-lb/gal mud. · Flow-check the well when the reservoir is entered.
