Attn: Well Integrity Coordinator, PRB -20 Post Office Box 196612 Anchorage, Alaska 99519 -6612 S':*44 FEB 4 201L December 30, 2011 Mr. Tom Maunder aO3 6 Alaska Oil and Gas Conservation Commission b 333 West 7 Avenue rt\A (7 ' Anchorage, Alaska 99501 Subject: Corrosion Inhibitor Treatments of MPS -Pad Dear Mr. Maunder, Enclosed please find multiple copies of a spreadsheet with a list of wells from MPS -Pad that were treated with corrosion inhibitor in the surface casing by conductor annulus. The corrosion inhibitor is engineered to prevent water from entering the annular space and causing external corrosion that could result in a surface casing leak to atmosphere. The attached spreadsheet represents the well name, API and PTD numbers, top of cement depth prior to filling and volumes of corrosion inhibitor used in each conductor. As per previous agreement with the AOGCC, this letter and spreadsheet serve as notification that the treatments took place and meet the requirements of form 10 -404, Report of Sundry Operations. If you require any additional information, please contact me or my alternate, Gerald Murphy, at 659 -5102. Sincerely, Mehreen Vazir BPXA, Well Integrity Coordinator • • BP Exploration (Alaska) Inc. ITEM 1a: Classification of Service Wells: Gas Injection, Water Injection, Water-Alternating-Gas Injection, Salt Water Disposal, Water Supply for Injection, Observation, or Other. Multiple completion is defined as a well producing from more than one pool with production from each pool completely segregated. Each segregated pool is a completion. ITEM 4b: TPI (Top of Producing Interval). ITEM 8: The Kelly Bushing elevation in feet above mean low low water. Use same as reference for depth measurements given in other spaces on this form and in any attachments. ITEM 13: The API number reported to AOGCC must be 14 digits (ex: 50-029-20123-00-00). ITEM 20: True vertical thickness. ITEM 22: Attached supplemental records for this well should show the details of any multiple stage cementing and the location of the cementing tool. ITEM 23: If this well is completed for separate production from more than one interval (multiple completion), so state in it item 23 show the producing intervals for only the interval reported in item 26. (Submit a separate form for each a interval to be separately produced, showing the data pertinent to such interval). ITEM 26: Method of Operation: Flowing, Gas Lift, Rod Pump, Hydraulic Pump, Submersible, Water Injection, Gas Injection, Shut-In, or Other (explain), ITEM 27: If no cores taken, indicate "None", ITEM 29: List all test information. If none, state "None". ORIGINAL Form 10-407 Revised 2/2003 Legal Well Name: Common Well Name: Event Name: Contractor Name: Rig Name: M PS-06 MPS-06 DRILL +COMPLETE DOYON DRILLING INC. Hydrates generally occur just below the permafrost (+1- 1 ,800-ft TVDss) but may be present in shallower SV sands and also as deep as 3,OOO-ft. Be alert for the possibility of shallow gas and/or hydrates. Use recommended practices for drilling hydrates. · Watch out for deeper gravels below the permafrost or gravels that calve off within the permafrost and tend to drop out when the aerated hydrate gas cut mud is being circulated out. Maintain adequate viscosity. In the past, several Milne Pt wells have experienced stuck pipe from this situation. Lost Circulation · Offset wells encountered losses while running and cementing casing and only one well had losses while running a hole opener. Below is a list of the wells and the lost circulating problems associated with them. We do not expect losses while drilling this well. · MPS-27: Lost returns cementing 7.0-in casing at approx. 800-ft MD. SuccessfuI1.0-in top job. · MPS-21: Lost returns cementing 7.0-in casing. Used TAM port collar at 1 ,OOO-ft with still no returns. Successful 1.0-in top job. · H-06 (1995): Lost 100-bbl running 9-5/8" casing, good returns during cementing except no returns for last 20-bbl, contaminated cement to surface, cement 12 ft down, no top job. · H-05 (1995): Lost returns drilling at 5,360-ft (3,700-ft TVD), 40-bph to keep full, treated wi LCM pills for two days, total losses 838-bbl, made hole opener run with some continued losses. · H-05 (1995): Ran 9-5/8" casing, lost 46-bbl conditioning mud. · H-07 (1995): Lost 50-bbl running 9-5/8" casing. 4 ) Schrader Bluff S-, ) ProQram MPS-6i Permit · E-24 (1998): Made hole opener run, worked tight spots 1965,2620,3465,5900 and 6000, lost 72-bbl while circulating. · H-08A (1997): Had some minor losses while running 4-1/2" liner. · Follow the LOST CIRCULATION DECISION MATRIX in the well program if fluid losses occur while drilling. Break circulation slowly in all instances and get up to recommended circulating rate slowly prior to cementing. Expected Pressures · It is unlikely there will be unexpected overpressure when drilling to the Schrader Bluff formation. Reservoir pressure is expected to be under-pressured (8.0 Ib/gal EMW). In this well, the Schrader Bluff formation will be drilled with 8.9 to 9.2-lb/gal mud. · Flow-check the well when the reservoir is entered.
