Parent well, L1-13, is a horizontal in the Lisburne. Motherbore production characteristics suggest well is not connected to a large area (or very weakly connected) as the well cycles due to low PI. An add lateral will increase the amount of rock accessed in the area and add productivity as well as maintain parent well production. 2 Proposed plan: Drill a through tubing sidetrack/lateral with CDR2 Drilling rig around April 2020. A frac sleeve will be milled and whipstock set as part of the pre -rig work. C-grill mill a 3.80" window in the 4-1/2" liner and drill a Lisburne target to-15,715' MD. A 3-1/4" x 2-7/8" L-80 slotted liner completion will be run. CTD Drill and Complete L1-13L1 program: Rig Start Date: April 2020 Rig Work: MIRU and test BOPE. (5.8 ppg equivalent). • Maximum expected surface pressure with gas (0.10 psi/ft) to surface is 1,774 psi. • An EMW of 8.4 ppg for this well will provide 1190 psi over -balance to the reservoir. Managed Pressure Drilling — V MPD techniques may be used to improve hole stability. • • An automatic choke will maintain a target ECD at the window for the duration of drilling to improve hole stability. • A pressure schedule will be used for tripping In/Out of the hole. The purpose of the pressure schedule for tripping is to maintain the same bottom hole pressure at the window by applying surface pressure via the choke. • At all times, drilling fluid weight will be greater than equivalent pore pressure. CO 207B Rule 3 states "The well spacing unit shall be one producing well per governmental quarter section. No pay may be opened in a well closer than 1,000 feet to the pay opened in another well or opened in a well which is closer than 500 feet to the boundary of the affected area". BPXA respectfully submits that approving the requested exception to the one producing well per governmental quarter section spacing requirement & 1000' rule, as applicable, of CO 207B Rule 3 would promote a greater ultimate recover of hydrocarbon resources by providing access to resources that otherwise may not be recovered under the existing rules. Four of the six proposed wells require governmental quarter section exceptions while 2 require both governmental quarter section and I000'exceptions to Rule 3. On November 19, 2019, BPXA representatives met with AOGCC staff members to review confidential geological maps for each of these spacing exceptions. BPXA explanations for wanting to drill within the quarter section or 1000' limitations received a positive reception from AOGCC staff. Lease maps showing the trajectory of the proposed wells were left with the commission staff as documentation to this application.
