Marshall, Jr. Petroleum Supervisor FROM: K. L. VonderAhe Petroleum Engineer State of Alaska DIVISION OF MINES AND MINERALS DATE : SUBJECT: March 28, 1966 Field Report - Atlantic Refining Company, Lorraine No. 1 I visited the location of the above well with Lee Wilson of Atlantic Refining 'Company this morning and approved the condition of the abandoned well and site. The well was marked by a 4" diameter pipe with the required informa- tion bead welded on it. The location~was clean and level. All loose trash had been placed in the mud sumps and the sumps filled in level with the surface. In placing the marker in the well, allowance was not made for the amount of fill required to level the site. Consequently in order to leave four feet of marker above ground, a shall conical depression was left around the well head. I suggested that in the future they should make the marker long enough to extend four feet above the site after it was leveled off.
