Request: Plug and abandon wellbore in preparation for sidetrack. Well History: At current operating conditions the well is uncompetitive and receives very little on-time. All producible sands have been accessed up to 20' tvd below the GOC. With gas so close to open perforations and no available gas shut off options it has been determined that this well is ready for sidetrack. Due to the high cement top in the well it has been eliminated as a CST option and a RST provides us with an opportunity to bring an additional wellbore into the E/K Graben. Other Requests: Given rig floor height limitations, a MASP < 3000 psi, and the fact that the three ram drilling BOP configuration is preferred to a two ram configuration with a spool, BPXA will execute the provisions of 20 AAC 25.285 (f) (1) regarding the initial testing of the BOPE as follows when existing wellhead or testing equipment prevents the testing of the lowest set of pipe rams: That lowest set of rams will be tested at the earliest opportunity during path-forward de-completion work, i.e., after the completion has been pulled from the well. Safety concerns and spacing limitations with the wellhead height and tubing spool preclude us from installing a spacer spool in the three-ram drilling BOP stack. Scope of Work: P & A: Cement perforations with coiled tubing or by bullheading. Prepare well for sidetrack operations. Decomplete: Pull 4-1/2" tubing from cut at 6000' MD. Set EZSV, PU whipstock and sidetrack wellbore. MASP: 2420 psi Pre-Ri Work: F 1 Perform in'ectivit test. F 2 Pending infectivity results, bullhead P & A the perforations in the E-05B wellbore with 15.8 ppg 7 bbl Class G cement. Min TOC at 10,000' MD, max TOC is 8525' MD. Test to 2500 si. S 3 Drift for 'et cut, to TOC, MIT to 2500 si. E 4 Punch tubing at ~ 8478' MD in the middle of the first full joint above the X nipple. Reference tubin tall 1-10-89. F 5 Circulate the well to seawater through the tubing cut. Freeze protect the IA and tubing with diesel to --2,200'. W 6 PPPOT - IC 9-5/8" 5,000 si, PPPOT-T 4-1/2" 5,000 si. ITEM 1: Classification of Service Wells: Gas injection, water injection, steam injection, air injection, salt water disposal, water supply for injection, observation, injection for in-situ combustion. ITEM 5: Indicate which elevation is used as reference (where not otherwise shown) for depth measurements given in other spaces on this form and in any attachments. ITEM 16 AND 24: If this well is completed for separate production from more than one interval (multiple completion), so state in item 16, and in item 24 show the producing intervals for only the interval reported in item 27. Submit a separate form for each additional interval to be separately produced, showing the data pertinent to such interval. ITEM 21: Indicate whether from ground level (GL) or other elevation (DF, KB, etc.). ITEM 23: Attached supplemental records for this well should show the details of any multiple stage cementing and the location of the cementing tool. ITEM 27: Method of Operation: Flowing, Gas Lift, Rod Pump, Hydraulic Pump, Submersible, Water Injection, Gas Injection, Shut-In, Other-explain. ITEM 28: If no cores taken, indicate 'none'. DOC BOP Test Nordic 1 PBU E-05A PTD 99-30 May 14,1999: I got a call from Nordic 1 saying they were lost in the hole and "',) waiting o,n log interpretations before resuming drilling. They asked if they could test BOP s while they were waiting. I said sure and went out to itness the test. The onsite geologist lost his markers and had them pull out of the hole to log the'] open hole, send the logs to town where other geologists could tell the onsite ..,/ / geologist where he was. Anyway the rig was ready to test and we proceeded. We were testing the choke manifold against the combination pipe/slip rams and on the third choke manifold pressure test, the rams failed. They were pulled and redressed, reran and the rest of the BOP test went smoothly. SUMMARY: Witnessed a BOP test on Nordic 1, 1 failure, 4 ½ hrs. Attachments: ahzgengf, xls · CC, NON-CONFIDENTIAL .... The sidetrack, E-05a, will target Zone 1 reserves. This sidetrack will be conducted in two phases. Phase 1: Set whipstock and downsqueeze abandonment cement: Planned for 4112199. Squeeze holes will be punched in the 4 %" straddle at approx. 9950'. A bridge plug will be set at approx. 9815'. Tubing will be pressure tested prior to shooting squeeze holes at 9655'. A mechanical whipstock will then be set at approx. 9755'. Existing perforations will be abandoned with approx. 25 bbls cement. Abandonment cement will be downsqueezed through squeeze holes at 9655' thereby stabilizing the 4 %" straddle and cementing off existing perforations. Abandonment cement will be pressure tested to 1500 psi with AOGCC witness. This procedure is described in more detail in the Form 10- 403. Phase 2: Mill Window and Drill Directional Hole: Planned for 4~22~99. Directional drilling coil tubing equipment will be rigged up and utilized to mill the window through two strings (4 ½" x 7") and drill the directional hole as per attached plan. Mud Program: - Phase 1: Seawater - Phase 2: FIo-Pro (8.8 - 8.9 ppg) Disposal: - No annular injection on this well. - All drilling and completion fluids and other Class II wastes will go to CC-2a for injection. - All Class 1 wastes will go to Pad 3 for disposal. Casing Program: - 2 7/8", 6.16#, L-80, ST-L liner will be run from TD to approx. 8,700' MD and cemented with approx. 22 bbls. to bring cement 200 ft above the window. The well will then be perforated with coil tubing conveyed guns. Well Control: - BOP diagram is attached. - Pipe rams, blind rams and the CT pack off will be pressure tested to 400 psi and to 4000 psi. - The annular preventer will be tested to 400 psi and 2000 psi. Directional - See attachments. - Kick Off: 9,770' MD (8,746' TVD ss) - TD: 11,658' MD (8,970' TVD ss) - Magnetic and inclination surveys will be taken every 30 ft. No gyro will be run. Logging - A Gamma Ray log will be run over all of the open hole section. TREE: 6" C~W 7-05a Proposed Completion KB. ELEV = 56.56' V~/ELLHEAD: McEVOY ............ BF.
