The Alpine Oil Pool includes the Alpine, Nanuq Kuparuk, Fiord Kuparuk, Fiord Nechelik, and Fiord West Kuparuk Participating Areas (PAs). Attachment 1 illustrates the current Colville River Unit boundary, participating areas, and surface facility pad locations. A: Progress of Recovery Projects, Alpine Status Update A total of 200 active development wells have been drilled in the Alpine Oil Pool as of January 1, 2024: 154 in the Alpine PA (80 producers, 74 injectors), 13 in the Nanuq Kuparuk PA (6 producers, 7 injectors), 6 in the Fiord Kuparuk PA (3 producers, 3 injectors), 2 in Fiord West Kuparuk PA (1 injector and 1 producer), and 23 in the Fiord Nechelik PA (13 producers, 10 injectors). Two disposal wells were previously completed in an undefined pool in the Sadlerochit Group sediments below the Alpine Oil Pool, and a third disposal well was completed in November 2022. Reservoir management of the Alpine Oil Pool in 2024 will aim to maximize oil rate by: (1) targeting a pattern level injection/withdrawal ratio of one, (2) managing water alternating gas (WAG) injection to maximize recovery, (3) updating and ranking workover and peripheral development opportunities for optimum drilling rig utilization, and (4) identifying well stimulation candidates. WAG in this document refers to a water-alternating-gas flood using either a miscible or sub-miscible enriched gas. These activities are expected to partially offset existing field decline. The following is a summary of the Alpine Oil Pool status as of January 1, 2024. The 10-412 report of reservoir pressures is Attachment 3. The Alpine pool reservoirs are continuously managed to maintain pattern pressures required for stable production and optimum EOR performance. Eighty-two static pressure surveys were performed on Alpine pool wells in 2023. Downhole pressure gauges are installed in 15 Alpine pool production wells. The gauges provide information about flood response and demonstrate reservoir pressure during shut-in events. Reservoir pressures are also estimated from simulation models and from inflow performance analyses. Both approaches are calibrated with reservoir pressure measurements collected from static surveys. D: Results and Analysis of Production and Injection Log Surveys, Temperature, Tracer Surveys, Observation Well Surveys None of these surveys were performed for the Alpine Oil Pool in 2023. E: Future Development Plans Future development for 2024 in the Alpine Oil Pool may include additional wells at CD2, CD4, or CD5 depending on rig usage/optimization. 2023 CRU Reservoir Surveillance Report 3 Development plans continue to support a WAG flood primarily via line-drive horizontal well patterns and a small number of slant wells. Excellent voidage replacement continues, with the current voidage replacement ratio above 1.0. Additional rotary drilling and CTD targets will be further matured to compete for rig time and planning work will be carried out accordingly. F: Results of Safety Valve System Testing Results from safety valve system tests performed in 2023 are listed in Attachment 6. 2023 CRU Reservoir Surveillance Report 4 Nanuq Oil Pool Annual Reservoir Review ConocoPhillips Alaska, Inc., (CPAI) as Operator and sole working interest owner of the Colville River Unit (CRU), submits this Nanuq Oil Pool Annual Reservoir Review as required for the Nanuq Oil Pool Conservation Order 562, Rules 7(f) and 10. See Attachment 7 for a graph of the 2023 CRU allocation factors. E: Progress of Enhanced Recovery Projects The Qannik PA has been developed from ten wells (7 producers and 3 injectors). The ongoing recovery scheme involves waterflood from inboard injection wells supplemented with a natural gas cap expansion drive from the east. Waterflood response has been observed in the Qannik zone, and flood surveillance is ongoing as pressure maintenance and enhanced recovery continue. The Qannik PA was expanded in 2021 to include the CD4-499, which is a step out from existing development at CD2. Additional rotary and CTD sidetrack targets may be considered as rig optimization/utilization dictates. The Narwhal PA current development consists of four producers and four injectors, with potential rotary targets in 2024 or 2025. F. Reservoir Management Summary Cumulative water injection equates to approximately 5% of the hydrocarbon pore volume of the developed portion of the reservoir. As would be expected for an immature flood, water production remains low at roughly 8% of total liquid production. 2023 CRU Reservoir Surveillance Report 8 Attachment 1: Colville River Unit Map 2023 CRU Reservoir Surveillance Report 9 Attachment 2: Reservoir Pressures at Datum – Alpine Oil Pool 2023 CRU Reservoir Surveillance Report 10 Attachment 2: Reservoir Pressures at Datum – Nanuq Oil Pool 2023 CRU Reservoir Surveillance Report 11 Attachment 2: Reservoir Pressures at Datum – Qannik Oil Pool 2023 CRU Reservoir Surveillance Report 12 Attachment 3: 10-412 Pressure Survey Results – Alpine Oil Pool Mar-26-2024 2023 CRU Reservoir Surveillance Report 13 Attachment 3: 10-412 Pressure Survey Results – Alpine Oil Pool (Continued) Mar-26-2024 2023 CRU Reservoir Surveillance Report 14 Attachment 3: 10-412 Pressure Survey Results – Alpine Oil Pool (Continued) Mar-26-2024 2023 CRU Reservoir Surveillance Report 15 Attachment 3: 10-412 Pressure Survey Results – Alpine Oil Pool (Continued) Mar-26-2024 2023 CRU Reservoir Surveillance Report 16 Attachment 3: 10-412 Pressure Survey Results – Nanuq Oil Pool Mar-26-2024 2023 CRU Reservoir Surveillance Report 17 Attachment 3: 10-412 Pressure Survey Results – Qannik Oil Pool Mar-26-2024 2023 CRU Reservoir Surveillance Report 18 Attachment 4: 10-413 Report of Injection Project – Alpine Oil Pool Mar-26-2024 2023 CRU Reservoir Surveillance Report 19 Attachment 4: 10-413 Report of Injection Project – Nanuq Oil Pool Mar-26-2024 2023 CRU Reservoir Surveillance Report 20 Attachment 4: 10-413 Report of Injection Project – Qannik Oil Pool Mar-26-2024 2023 CRU Reservoir Surveillance Report 21 Attachment 5: 10-428 Annual Reservoir Properties Report Mar-26-2024 2023 CRU Reservoir Surveillance Report 22 Attachment 6: Safety Valve System Test Results 2023 CRU Reservoir Surveillance Report 23 Attachment 6: Safety Valve System Test Results (continued) 2023 CRU Reservoir Surveillance Report 24 Attachment 7: CRU Daily Production Allocation Factors 2023
