W- 02 is currently shut-in and is incapable of producing due to an ESP failure. The well is planned to be sidetracked to a new bottom hole location as a conventional horizontal producer targeting Zone 4B of the Ivishak formation. Pre-Riq Work Outline W-02 Ensure well is freeze protected and no ice plug is present in tubing. Bullhead 30 bbls diesel down tubing to freeze protect tubing to 2000'. Record SlTP and IA pressure. (Original completion records indicate annulus is freeze protected to 2100' however there is no mention of the tubing being freeze protected following shut down of pump.) . Function test all Iockdown screws on the FMC Generation IV wellhead by backing out and re-torquing one at a time.. Test the tubing hanger seals to 5000 psi and 9-5/8" pack-off to 3500 psi.. . Set BPV in tubing hanger and secure well. , Prior to rig arrival remove well house and flowlines. If necessary level the pad and dig out the cellar. · Notify the field AOGCC representative with intent to plug and abandon. Riff Operations: ~ 1. 2. 3. 4. 5. 6. MIRU Nabors 9ES. Circulate out freeze protection and displace well to kill weight brine. Set TWC. Nipple down tree. Nipple up and test BOPE. Pull and lay down ESP completion. Set EZSV on wireline. RIH with stinger on drillpipe. Suspend open gravel pack perforations via the downsqueeze cement method through an EZSV. Pull stinger free and pressure test 9-5/8" casing to 4000 psi. MU 9-5/8" whipstock window milling assembly and RIH to top of bridge plug. POOH. RIH with 9-5/8" Baker bottom-trip anchor whipstock assembly. Orient whipstock as desired and set on BP. Mill window in 9-5/8" casing at -4250' MD. POOH. 9. RIH with 8-1/2" drilling assembly (with MWD/GR/RES) to whipstock. Kick-off and drill the 8- 1/2" intermediate section to Top Sag @ +10,604' MD (8806' TVD). 10. Run and cement 7", 26# intermediate drilling liner to -150' back into window. POH. 11. Make up and RIH with a 6-1/8" directional assembly (with MWD/GR/RES/DEN/NEU) to the 7" tie-back landing collar. Test 7" tie-back assembly to 3000 psi. Drill landing collar and RIH to 7" liner landing collar. 12. Test the 9-5/8" casing and 7" liner from the landing collar to surface to 3000 psi for 30 minutes. 13. Drill 6-1/8" production section as per directional plan to an estimated TD of 14,258' MD (8936' TVD). 14. Run and cement a 4 ½", 12.6# L-80 solid production liner throughout the 6-1/8" wellbore. Displace well to clean seawater above liner top. POOH SB DP. 15. Test the 4-1/2", 7", and 9-5/8" casing from the 4-1/2" landing collar to surface to 3000 psi for 30 min. 16. TCP perforate the well as directed. Cleanout out perforation interval. 17. Run a 4-1/2", 12.6# 13Cr-80 Vam completion tying into the 4-1/2" liner top. 18. Set packer and test the tubing to 3500 psi and annulus to 3000 psi for 30 minutes. 19. Nipple down the BOPE. Nipple up and test the tree to 5000 psi. 20. Freeze protect the well to -2200' and secure the well. 21. Rig down and move off. Our intention is to meet the requirements set forth in Article 20AAC25.105.(H)(1) (C). We will be abandoning the exposed gravel pack interval at 4452' to 4853' by placing a cement retainer above the interval at 4290' and pressure testing the retainer/casing above to 4000 psi. We will then squeeze below the retainer with 15.8 ppg G cement (1.17cuft/sk). We intend on filling the void beneath the retainer, the void across the gravel pack assembly and the casing below the gravel pack assembly to the float collar depth of 5465'. Supervisor FROM' Lou Grimaldi,~,~ Petroleum Inspector FILE NO: SUBJECT: AINJHYEE.DOC BOP test, Nabors rig ¢18E BPX well PBU ¢W-02 Prudhoe Bay Field PTD ¢97-146 Monday, August 25, 1997: I witnessed the weekly BOP test on Nabors rig ¢18E which is presently drilling BPX well ¢W-02 in the Prudhoe Bay Field. The test went well with two failures observed, The third set of valves for the choke manifold leaked slightly at high pressure and the blind rams failed. The choke valves were cycled and retested "OK", the blind rams would not test after cycling them and required changing. All BOPE components received a good test with the exception of the Gas electrician had"b~4= laid down for the evening and I detection equipment. The rig will return to the rig in the morning and witness the test of this equipment along with the retest on the failed blind rams. The area surrounding the rig was well organized and Alan Madsen provided a good procedure for testing the BOP equipment. Tuesday, August 26, 1997: I was tied up on another BOP test when I received a call from the rig informing me that the gas detectors were tested and the blinds had been changed and tested "OK". I passed the rig to continue with the program verbally. SUMMARY: I witnessed the weekly BOP test on Nabors rig ¢18E. Test time 3 hours. 2 failures.
