We will be taking the samples at surface. Technically, we will be injecting the tracer into the LS of MPE-13B which is completed in the OA sand so we expect that the magnesium we see will be coming from the mother bore (MPE-20A) which is the lateral in the OA sand. Hope this helps. By adding the Epson salt to the produced water you are creating the tracer fluid. Tracer fluids are clearly allowed by the injection order. Good luck with the trial. As the fluid movement information is quantified, we would appreciate a communication indicating the findings. Also, can you identify the possible candidate injection wells? We are looking to quantify the amount of injection water being cycled between injector and producer pre and post MBE treatment in order to judge success. In order to do this we will be increasing the Magnesium concentration in our normal produced water (by adding Epsom Salt) and injecting it in an injector while monitoring the concentration of Magnesium on the producer side. This will allow us to see what percentage of injected water is cycling directly through. We expect the tracer to come through in less than 6 hours. I believe this kind of study is authorized under the Area Injection Order No 10B, Part B: Schrader Bluff Oil Pool Authorized Fluids, section C) tracer survey fluid to monitor reservoir performance. Mike suggested that I confer with you prior to the job to make sure we do not need any additional notifications. Thank you in advance for your help on this. Drilling Hazards & Contingencies: Hydrates · Light to moderate hydrates were encountered on several of the previous E-Pad wells. No ¡,/ drilling problems related to the hydrates were reported. · Hydrates generally occur just below the Permafrost (+/- 1800 ss) but may be present in shallower SV sands and also as deep as 3000 ft. Be alert for the possibility of shallow gas and/or hydrates. Use recommended practices for drilling hydrates. Increase mud wt; Maintain cool mud « 60 deg F); Limit ROP and reduce pump rate while drilling hydrates; Circulate connections thoroughly. See Well Program and Recommended Practices for specific information. · Another item to watch out for is deeper gravels below the Permafrost or gravels that calve off within the permafrost and will tend to drop out when the aerated hydrate gas cut mud is being circulated out. Maintain adequate viscosity. In the past several Milne pt wells have experienced stuck pipe from this situation. Lost Circulation · We do not expect losses while drilling this well. · Offset wells encountered losses while running and cementing casing. · Follow the LOST CIRCULATION DECISION MATRIX in the well plan if fluid losses occur while drilling. Break circulation slowly in all instances and get up to recommended circulating rate slowly prior to cementing. Expected Pressures / · Maximum reservoir pressure is expected to be (8.59-lb/gal EMW). In this well, the Schrader Bluff formation will be drilled with 9.1-lb/gal mud. Pad Data Sheet · Please Read the E-Pad Data Sheet thoroughly. 4 . . THE TOP OF THE WHIPSTOCK WAS AT 2457'MD AND THE BOTTOM WAS AT 2481'MD. UPHOLE TIE-IN SGRC DATA WERE ACQUIRED WHILE RIH FOR THIS RUN. MWD RUN 4 WAS DIRECTIONAL-ONLY TO POSITION THE WHIPSTOCK AND MILL THE WINDOW FOR THE ABORTED MPE-20A L1 PB1 WELLBORE. THE TOP OF THE WHIPSTOCK WAS AT 5274'MD, WITHIN THE MWD RUN 2 INTERVAL. ONLY SROP DATA ARE PRESENTED FOR RUN 4. 5. MWD RUNS 2, 5, AND 6 COMPRISED DIRECTIONAL WITH DGR AND ELECTROMAGNETIC WAVE RESISTIVITY PHASE-4 (EWR4). MWD RUNS 5 AND 6 ALSO INCLUDED PRESSURE WHILE DRILLING (PWD) AND AT-BIT INCLINATION (ABI). 6. LOG AND DIGITAL DATA (LDWG) ONLY WERE BLOCK-SHIFTED 3' DOWNHOLE, PER E-MAIL FROM K. COONEY (SIS/BP) DATED 3 JUNE 2004. LOG HEADER DATA RETAIN ORIGINAL DEPTH REFERENCES. 7. MWD RUNS 1, 2, 5, AND 6 REPRESENT WELL MPE-20A L1 WITH API#: 50-029- 22561-60. THIS WELL REACHED A TOTAL DEPTH (TD) OF 11078'MD/4247'TVD. SROP SMOOTHED RATE OF PENETRATION WHILE DRILLING. SGRC SMOOTHED GAMMA RAY COMBINED. SEXP SMOOTHED PHASE SHIFT-DERIVED RESISTIVITY (EXTRA SHALLOW SPACING) . SESP = SMOOTHED PHASE SHIFT-DERIVED RESISTIVITY (SHALLOW SPACING) . SEMP = SMOOTHED PHASE SHIFT-DERIVED RESISTIVITY (MEDIUM SPACING) . SEDP = SMOOTHED PHASE SHIFT-DERIVED RESISTIVITY (DEEP SPACING) . SFXE = SMOOTHED FORMATION EXPOSURE TIME. ALL DEPTHS ARE MEASURED DEPTH (MD) UNLESS OTHERWISE NOTED. THESE DEPTHS ARE BIT DEPTHS. 2. ALL VERTICAL DEPTHS ARE TRUE VERTICAL DEPTH (TVD). 3. THIS WELL EXITS THE MPE-20A WELLBORE AT 5274'MD/4283'TVD, WITHIN THE MWD RUN 2 INTERVAL. 4. MWD RUN 1 COMPRISED DIRECTIONAL WITH DUAL GAMMA RAY (DGR) UTILIZING GEIGER-MUELLER TUBE DETECTORS. THE PURPOSE OF THIS RUN WAS TO POSITION THE WHIPSTOCK AND MILL THE WINDOW. THE TOP OF THE WHIPSTOCK WAS AT 2457'MD AND THE BOTTOM WAS AT 2481'MD. UPHOLE TIE-IN SGRC DATA WERE ACQUIRED WHILE RIH FOR THIS RUN. MWD RUN 4 WAS DIRECTIONAL-ONLY TO POSITION THE WHIPSTOCK AND MILL THE WINDOW. THE TOP OF THE WHIPSTOCK WAS AT 5274'MD. ONLY SROP DATA ARE PRESENTED FOR RUN 4. 5. MWD RUNS 2 AND 5 COMPRISED DIRECTIONAL WITH DGR AND ELECTROMAGNETIC WAVE RESISTIVITY PHASE-4 (EWR4). MWD RUN 5 ALSO INCLUDED PRESSURE WHILE DRILLING (PWD) AND AT-BIT INCLINATION (ABI). 6. LOG AND DIGITAL DATA (LDWG) ONLY WERE BLOCK-SHIFTED 3' DOWNHOLE, PER E-MAIL FROM K. COONEY (SIS/BP) DATED 3 JUNE 2004. LOG HEADER DATA RETAIN ORIGINAL DEPTH REFERENCES. 7. MWD RUNS 1, 2, AND 5 REPRESENT WELL MPE-20A L1 PB1 WITH API#: 50-029- 22561-70. THIS WELL REACHED A TOTAL DEPTH (TD) OF 6067'MD/4294'TVD. SROP SMOOTHED RATE OF PENETRATION WHILE DRILLING. SGRC SMOOTHED GAMMA RAY COMBINED.
