The sidetrack, J-20b, will kick off from a window milled in Zone 2 of the Ivishak. The J-10b target is Zone lB. The following describes work planned to prep for sidetracking and is submitted as an attachment to Form 10-403. A schematic diagram of the proposed sidetrack is attached for reference. 1. MIT has been successfully performed on the OA. (3/3/02) / 2. A 3.5" OD drift was run to 12050' SLM. (4/9/02) 3. Kinley Caliper has been run over the tubing and 8 joints of the liner. (4/9/02) 4. A static pressure survey was run (5/29/02) 5..All GLM's have been dummied off and MIT-IA successful to 3000 psi. Packers will be used to straddle and isolate perforations from 13,410 to 13,510' MD. The coil drilling unit will be used for this operation. The following summarizes the procedure planned for this well work and is submitted as an attachment to Form 10-403. A schematic diagram of this completion is attached for reference. 1. Kill well with seawater. 2. Run a 3.625 drift to ensure clearance for packers. 3. Install lower hydraulic set packer at approx. 13,530'. 4. Install upper hydraulic set packer w/tailpipe at approx. 13,380'. This work is tentatively scheduled to begin on Feb. 24, 2000. July 11,1996 aimlgkdd.doc BOPE Test Nabors 2 ES BPX PBU well J-20A Prudhoe Oil Pool PTD 96-106 Wednesday July 11, 1996: I traveled this date to BPX's PBU well J-20A to witness the BOPE test on Nabors 2ES. The AOGCC BOPE Test Report is attached for reference. As noted in the attachment, 2 failures were observed resulting in a much longer test time than normal. The upper pipe rams were leaking and required rebuilding to repair them, these were finished and retested. The dart valve failed and allowed 24 hours to rebuild, retest and notify an AOGCC inspector. The rig had recently been down for annual maintenance and appeared to be in very good condition. Summary: I witnessed the BOPE test on Nabors 2 ES with 2 failures and 6 hours test time. RECEIVED MAY 5 1 1996 0tl & $~ O~n~, Cemmi~n Operational Summary 1. MIRU Nabors 28-E. . . . em . . J-20A Horizontal Sidetrack . . Pull and laydown 4-1/2" tubing. TIH and retrieve 9-5/8" TIW packer and 4-1/2" tubing tailpipe. Set an EZSV at _+11,500' MD. Downsqueeze +30 bbls cement below EZSV (21.5 bbls cement to lowermost perf). PU and reverse out excess cement above EZSV. Test casing. POOH. PU tools and mill section in 7" casing from +11,235'-11,285' MD. Set sidetrack kick-off plug from 11,035'-11,385' MD (SSD recommended practices). Kick off (+11,240' MD) and directionally drill a 6" hole to 14,308' MD (90° final inclination). Estimated total horizontal leg is +2,077' MD in Zone 1 along a planned final azimuth of 359°. NOTE: As sidetrack exit point is in Shublik, no 7" drilling liner is planned. Inclination, azimuth and overall lateral length may be shortened by onsite geologist. Maximum anticipated MW in this interval will be ___9.0 ppg. Completion operations entail 4-1/2", L-80 solid, cemented, perforated liner. Top of liner will be at_+10,737' MD (150' above original 7" liner lap and inside the 9-5/8" casing). NOTE: A wiper trip may be made prior to running production liner. RIH with DPC perforating guns and perforate 4-1/2" production liner using MWD logs to select optimum perf interval. POOH. 4-1/2", L-80 tubing will be run with a permanent packer set above 60° inclination. Set two way check and test to 1,000 psi. ND BOPE. NU tree and test to 5,000 psi. 10. Freeze protect well and release rig. Drilling Hazards KOP will occur in the Shublik shales. Maximum anticipated MW should be _+9.0 ppg. Shublik B interval may be fractured resulting in lost circulation. Sadlerochit interval has an estimated pore pressure of-+7;4 ppg EMW. Lost circulation may occur due to overbalance conditions. Small (20') faults are expected in the the build interval of Zone 2. Lost circulation is possible but not likely. No faulting is anticipated in the horizontal interval. There are no known drilling close approaches. No other known drilling hazards are expected. After setting an EZSV at _+11,500' MD inside the 7" liner, placement of _+30 bbls of cement below the E_.ZSV (21.5 bbls to lowermost perf) should include a -+8.5 bbl squeeze into the perforations, leaving 21.5 bbls of cement below the E_ZSV. The EZSV will be located approximately 520' above the uppermost perforation. Angle at the proposed KOP in 7" liner (+11,220' MD) is 46°. Pre-Rig Procedure 1. Notify an AOGCC representative prior to commencing P&A operations. 2. RU slickline unit and pull bottom gas lift valve at +10,779' MD. . RU and reverse circulate the wellbore through the open gas lift mandrel with seawater until returns are clear and the well is dead. Freeze protect well with diesel to 2,000'. . RU electric line unit. RIH and cut the 4-1/2" tubing at -+11,950' MD and at +10,785' MD. Thecut at +10,785' MD should be in the first full joint above the TIW latch assembly and must be a chemical cut to promote fishinq operations with the drilling rig. , Time permitting, RU and test the 9-5/8" pack off to 3,500 psi and service lock down studs. Notify Rig Representative immediately of any pressure test or wellhead condition problems. 6. Bleed any pressure from the tubing, inner and outer annuli to zero psi. , Install a BPV and test same to 1,000 psi. Remove the well house and flowlines. Prepare for the arrival of the rig. If necessary, level the pad and dig out the cellar. Rig Procedure 1. MIRU Nabors 28-E. . Pull 4-1/2" tubing. TIH and retrieve TIW packer and 4-1/2" tubing tailpipe. Set an EZSV at +11,500' MD. Downsqueeze-+30 bbls cement below EZSV (21.5 bbls cement to lowermost perf). PU and reverse out excess cement above EZSV. , PU tools and mill section in 7" casing from +11,2!5'-11,265' MD. Set sidetrack kick-off plug from 1 1,015'- 11,365' MD (SSD recommended practices). . Kick off (+_11,220' MD) and directionally drill a 6" hole to 13,328' MD (90° final inclination).
