Kuparuk's injector 3J-16 (PTD# 185-290) is nearing the end of its 30 day monitor period. As previously reported the well passed all of its initial diagnostic testing. The IA was increased in pressure to establish a substantial differential pressure between the IA and the OA in which it maintained throughout the 30 day monitor. CPAI intends to return the well to normal injection status. If any further indications suggest possible communication the well will be reported at that time. Please let me know if you have any questions or disagree with the plans. Attached are copies of the well bore schematic and a 90 day TIO plot. On the 22nd of June the IA passed an MIT-IA and was left with "'150 psi differential pressure between the IA and OA. Yesterday the IA pressure was found to be equalized with the OA pressure. The OA was bled down and during the bleed the IA was found to have also reduced in pressure The IC pack off passed in both a positive and negative direction. It is CPAI intentions to continue diagnostics today by establishing a substantial differential between the IA and the OA and monitor for 30 days to investigate the potential for IAxOA communication. Depending on the results of the diagnostics and monitor period, the well will either be returned to normal ltection status, reviewed for repair options or an AA application for continued injection with IAxOA communication will be Stkhitted. Please let me know if you have any questions or disagree with the plans. Attached are copies of the wellbore schematic, 90 day TIO plot and the diagnostic MIT-IA form. Selected intervals will be logged. A 20", 2000 psi annular diverter will be installed on the 16" conductor while drilling the surface hole. The 13-5/8", 5000 psi, RSRRA BOP stack will be installed on the 9-5/8" surface casing. The stack and related equipment will be tested to 3000 psig upon installation and weekly thereafter. Expected maximum surface pressure is 2850 psi. Pressure calculations are based on virgin reservoir pressure. Surface pressure is calculated with an unexpanded gas bubble at surface, including temperature effects. Casing will be tested to 3500 psi prior to releasing the drilling rig. Non-freezing fluids will be left in uncemented annuli through the permafrost interval. 3J-16 will be 25' away from 3J-15 at the surface. There are no closer wellbores anywhere downhole. Reserve pit fluids will be disposed of by pumping them down the 7" x 9-5/8" annulus of this well.
