Douglas Acker 19-Jun-2014
What went as, or better than, planned:
Rigging up after the rig move went as well as planned
Difficulties experienced:
After changing out the Iris and 4th computer everything seemed to be working as it should until we tried
to connect Wits to SLB. As usual we went through and double checked the screen shots to make sure
everything was set up as it was before. After working on the issue for several hours I thought it might be
a network issue. I double checked the settings and everything looked ok. I thought maybe there was a
communication issue with the new computer since I used the same IP address as before. I changed
them to a new IP address that was not in use and that solved the problem.

What went as, or better than, planned:
During the section, all of the gas gear performed as required without any problems. Also, the
networking problem with not being able to connect to SLB's WITSed data was resolved, and no further
issues were encountered.
Difficulties experienced:
As experienced previously, Insite was having issues tracking depths. During connections, it was not
switching in and out of slips correctly, so that after a connection had been made, the bit depth was
off by one stand causing about 90 feet of lost gas data.
Recommendations:
The bit depth needs to be manually corrected after each correction to reflect the actual depth.

Recommendations:
The network issue with Insite should be resolved ASAP so we can get back to using Insite as we
normally do. Make sure all crew members check pump configurations before starting each well to
avoid having wrong liner ID's, etc. It is important for trainees to beaware of the bit depth while making
a connection to avoid having to make depth corrections. Also make sure to keep an eye on the
chromatograph while drilling to make sure it does not stop cycling while drilling.

Leigh Ann Rasher 26-Jun-2014
What went as, or better than, planned:
No major issues were experienced with gas equipment.
Difficulties experienced:
Insite software ran super slow on all computers except the ADI. We had to use the ADI for most Insite
operations (adding comments, data statistics, etc) due to this problem. WITs froze several times a day
while drilling and had to be completely shut down and restarted. We think the WITs issue has to do
with the Insite issues. Pump 3 configuration had to be corrected due to lag being off when using pump
3. The bit tracker unnoticably got stuck in slips a few times during connections causing depth
corrections to be made. The chromatograph also stopped cycling by itself and had to be restarted
once or twice while drilling.

Recommendations:
Continue to monitor going in and out of slips and adjust when needed.
Innovations and/or cost savings:
Near the end of the well the block weight, the hookload threshold and the block speed was
changed allowing Insite to track slips, and therefore depth, much better than before.
7-Jul-2014
What went as, or better than, planned:
Sample collection went well with no problems. Regular maintenance and properly installed equipment
did not result in condensation causing issues with the gas gear. Filters were changed on the shaky
panel and have been filtering out more water from the lines. Did not experience the networking
problems encountered previously with the SLB MWD data.
Difficulties experienced:
Chromatograph lost connection with computer from 12,331-12,368'. Insite was having difficulty
tracking depth and going in and out of slips at inapproriate time, necessitating manual bit depth
corrections. Also, an Insite problem causing block height trace and pit trace display issues on the
time log has occurred.

Interpretation:
This interval displays non-producible hydrocarbons based upon the gas and chromatograph data collected. It is dominated by unconsolidated, fine to
very fine grain, subangulat to subrounded, well sorted, quartz sand. There is no free oil in the sample, trace dull yellow to white sample flourescence,
streaming or blooming dull yellow cut fluorescence, clear cut, a light amount of clear residual ring, and dull yellow to white residual flourescence ring.

Interpretation:
This interval displays a good oil show, but is not associated with any heavy hydrocarbon gases. It is dominated by unconsolidated, fine to very fine
grain, subrounded to subangular, well sorted, quartz sand. It is slightly silty in part. There is free oil in the sample with a very faint oil odor, uniform dull
orange sample flourescence, an immediate bright blue bursting to streaming flourescence cut, bright greenish yellow residual ring flourescence, and
no visible residual ring.

Interpretation:
This interval displays non-producible hydrocarbons based upon the gas and chromatograph data collected. It is dominated by unconsolidated, fine to
very fine grain, subrounded to subangular, well sorted, quartz sand. There is no free oil in the sample, uniform dull yellow sample flourescence, a dull
yellow streaming flourescence cut, pale straw to light amber cut, a light amount of amber residual ring, and dull to bright white residual fluorescence
ring.
