In mid Jul 01, E-09A became a swing well due to a >25000scf/stb GORCSince then uptime has fallen from 30% to 10%. The sidetrack, E-09B will make the well competitive again. From a kick-off point in the Ivishak lower Z2B formation from a window cut in the 5", 15# liner the 1400' sidetrack will target Zone 1A/1B reserves in the far eastern part of E-pad. The following describes prep work for sidetracking and is submitted as an attachment to Form 10-403. A schematic diagram of the proposed sidetrack is attached for reference. 1. All GLM's have been dummied off and MIT-IA tested successfully to 2500 psi. (4/3/02) 2. MIT-OA tested successfully to 1000psi. (3/7/02) 3. Tubing successfully drifted & callipered with PDS. (2/27/02) 4. Run & set 5" monobore whipstock at 10,675' with a zero degree TF for a highside exit. 5. P&A open perfs below the whipstock with 35bbls, (25 bbls in liner & 10bbls squeezed behind pipe) The well will be prepared as soon as permitted. Item 1- Classification of Service Wells: Gas injection, water injection, steam injection, air injection, salt water disposal, water supply for injection, observation, injection for in-situ combustion. Item 5: Indicate which elevation is used as reference (where not otherwise shown) for depth measurements given in other spaces on this form and in any attachments. Item 16 and 24: If this well is completed for separate production from more than one interval (multiple completion), so state in item 16, and in item 24 show the producing intervals for only the interval reported in item 27. Submit a separate form for each additional interval to be separately produced, showing the data pertinent to such interval. Item 21' Indicate whether from ground level (GL) or other elevation (DF, KB, etc.). Item 23: Attached supplemental records for this well should show the details of any multiple stage cement- ing and the location of the cementing tool. Item 27: Method of Operation: Flowing, Gas Lift, Rod Pump, Hydraulic Pump, Submersible, Water In- jection, Gas Injection, Shut-in, Other-explain. Item 28: If no cores taken, indicate "none". The permit to drill does not exempt you from obtaining additional permits required by law from other governmental agencies, and does not authorize conducting drilling operations until all other required permitting determinations are made. Blowout prevention equipment (BOPE) must be tested in accordance with 20 AAC 25.035. Sufficient notice (approximately 24 hours) of the BOPE test performed before drilling below the surface casing shoe must be given so that a representative of the Commission may witness the test. Notice may be given by contacting the Commission petroleum field inspector on the North Slope pager at 659-3607. Lay a cement plug starting from PBTD to up inside the 4-1/2" tubing to _+10,750' md. Squeeze down to initiate abandonment of perforations (the window for the sidetrack inside the 7" liner will be from 10,575' md to 10,625' md. A minimum of 100' of rathole below the bottom of the window is required for the sidetrack). Chemical cut tubing at in the middle of the first full joint above _+10,750' md. Chemical cut the tubing again at _+9,562' md in the middle of the first full joint above the 9-5/8" packer hookup. Circulate well over to seawater. Freeze protect well with diesel to 2000' and set a BPV. Move in drilling rig. Pull BPV. Circulate diesel freeze protection cap from well and recover for future use. Install a BPV and tree test plug. Remove the production tree. Install BOP's and test to 5000 psi. Remove the test plug and BPV. Pull and lay down the 4-1/2". 12.6#. L-80. TDS tubing. MU overshot. RIH and engage cut joint. Rotate 18 turns to right and retrieve packer anchor. MU spear and RIH. Enter packer with spear and spaceout to engage spear in 4.00" bore in packer hookup. Pull and shear pins. Allow packer element to relax. POOH w/packer hookup and tubing. Displace well to FLO-PRO/milling fluid. Cut a 50' section in the 7" casing starting from about ___10.575'M D. RIH to PBTD with enough 2-7/8", 8.7#, L-80, DSS-HTC tubing to extend from PBTD to above the TOL. Spot a balanced cement plug from PBTD to 200' above top of window. Run in with a 4-3/4" steerable drilling assembly and a 6" bit with gamma ray/directional MWD. Contact AOGCC to witness tag of cement for abandonment purposes. Dress the cement to 5' below the section top. Kickoff and if necessary displace well to clean FLO-PRO system. Continue to directionally drill to TD at ___11,887' md which should yield _+800' of horizontal section (see attached directional plan). Make a conditioning trip with a 6" hole-opener for the open hole section and with a 9-5/8" casing scraper spaced to clean the casing. Install a 5". 15". L-80 or 1~R-80 . STL ,.gOLID liner with 5" X 9-5/8" packer/hanger. Space packer / hanger to be set at +_9,550' md. Cement the liner in place with the total cement volume based upon 50 % open-hole enlargement plus the 80' shoe volume, 7" lap volume, 9-5/8" lap volume, and 150' excess on top of the liner with drillpipe in the hole. In mid Jul 01, E-09A became a swing well due to a >25000scf/stb GOR: Since then uptime has fallen from 30% to 10%. The sidetrack, E-09B will make the well competitive again. From a kick-off point in the Ivishak lower Z2B formation from a window cut in the 5", 15# liner the 1400' sidetrack will target Zone 1A/1 B reserves in the far eastern part of E-pad. 'The following describes prep work for sidetracking and is submitted as an attachment to Form 10-403. Nordic 2 is scheduled to be over the well, Sep 15th.
