Subject: Granite Point State 18742 17A (Anna-17A)_PTD#213-049
Bryan-
Please see below for proposed change of procedure on Anna-17A HWO currently in progress.
Given that we can’t get down to bottom in the short string, the proposed path forward would
hopefully eliminate the need to pull dual strings concurrently and eliminate the need to handle
2-3/8” pipe / rams, while still meeting abandonment requirements (no changes to
abandonment steps). An updated proposed schematic is attached. Please let us know if
Hilcorp has approval to proceed with the amended path forward below. Thank you.
Ops completed thus far:
EL drift short string for cutter
Couldn’t get deeper than 9,203’ MD (uncorrected)
Likely tagging on crossover at 9,197’ MD
Known historical scale in short string
Proposed amended path forward
5. Cut short string
a. RU EL to short string
b. RIH and cut just above Kobe block at 10,017’ MD 2-7/8” x 2-3/8” Cross over at
9,197’ MD
c. Move over to Long string and cut at ±9,200’ MD
d. RD EL
6. Unseat Short string and POOH with 2-7/8” x 2-3/8” tubing
7. Unseat Long string and POOH with 2-7/8” tubing, Kobe block, and tail pipe
10. PU pipe and RIH with 9-5/8” cement retainer (may use 2-7/8” work string or 4-1/2”
completion tubing. TBD)

What went as, or better than, planned:
No major difficulties were experienced. The Canrig computer did freeze towards the beinning of the
section and was fixed by closing out the RigWatch program and restarting it. The bit depth got thrown
off a few times during connections.
Recommendations:
Innovations and/or cost savings:
Surface section was completed without major problems. Gas chromatograph worked fine and within
parameters.
Difficulties experienced:
Check your bit depth during each connection to make sure it stays on track.

What went as, or better than, planned:
Some difficulties were experienced. The Gas Chromatograph would just stop running on two different
occasions. This caused a sixty foot gap on our logs.
Recommendations:
Innovations and/or cost savings:
Intermediate section was completed without any major issues.
Difficulties experienced:
Check your bit depth during each connection to make sure it stays on track. Replaced the H2
Generator with backup unit and the 8900 Chromatograph. The Geni filter was replaced.

What went as, or better than, planned:
At the beginning of the production run, TVD was not tracking correctly. This was fixed by going into the
Survey Descriptor and making adjustments.
Recommendations:
Innovations and/or cost savings:
Production section was completed with no major issues. We experienced no failures from CanRig and
our depth tracked fairly well.
Difficulties experienced:
Go through and check Descriptors before starting a new section or run.

SP08-N7 L1
What went as, or better than, planned:
The GC (8900) had issues connecting to IRIS after run changes. Also, the GC was not calibrated
correctly prior to the L1 section. The C3 and C4 norm were calibrated to read 10x their ppm. Lag was
approx 40-50-bbls off prior to the L1 section. Pump configurations were off slightly. Hydrogen generator
was leaking pressure.
Recommendations:
Innovations and/or cost savings:
L1 production section was completed with no major issues. The THA(8800) was switched out to the
newer THA (9000) and worked without any issues.
Difficulties experienced:
The GC will be changed out to SDL ready GC recieved from town a few weeks ago to resolve
connectivity issues. Need to make sure to check GC gas concentrations when calibrating the
equipment to make sure they are correct. Also all configurations should be checked after each run
(pumps, lag, etc.). If a lag adjustment is made it should be communicated to other loggers to avoid
issues. Make sure hydrogen generator poly flow connectioin is on tight enough to avoid any leaks which
may cause drops in pressure.
