We set the packer on e-line at 17’ to allow us to patch across that leak. Also, what’s your desired timeframe for performing this work? Thanks Bryan McLellan Senior Petroleum Engineer Alaska Oil & Gas Conservation Commission Bryan.mclellan@alaska.gov +1 (907) 250-9193 From: Casey Morse <Casey.Morse@hilcorp.com> Sent: Monday, January 6, 2025 2:24 PM To: McLellan, Bryan J (OGC) <bryan.mclellan@alaska.gov> Cc: Juanita Lovett <jlovett@hilcorp.com>; Dan Marlowe <dmarlowe@hilcorp.com>; Eric Dickerman <Eric.Dickerman@hilcorp.com> Subject: Granite Pt St 18742 33 (AN-33) PTD 177-032 Sundry 324-503 Bryan, We were unable to successfully deploy the tubing patch system as described in the procedure for this sundry. We have a plan to modify the wellhead and run a different patch system per the below procedure. Relating to the specific sundry language, we would strike steps 6, 7, and 8 to replace those steps with the below procedures: 6. Install new coiled tubing head assembly on the short string and a balance spool on the long string (shown in the attached “Proposed Patch V2” wellhead drawing) a. Pressure test new coiled tubing head assembly against SS and LS master valves to 5000psi. 7. Rig up wellhead lubricator on well with the new patch assembly. 8. Run in patch with flow through seal stem on short string and sting into packer sealbore. Land out in coil tubing head and run in lock pins. 9. Remove lubricator and bundle test to 500psi to prove patch integrity (as described in step 9 of the original sundry.) Please let me know if you approve of these changes or have any follow up questions. Potential Surface Pressure: 1508 psi Using 0.1 psi/ft Brief Well Summary Well Granite Pt St 18742 33 (An-33) is a dual string jet pump producer. It’s completion is typical for Anna/Bruce platforms, and the well is a no-flow well. The well consistently made ~70bfpd at ~10% wc until June-2024 when it stopped surfacing fluid. Further SL diagnostics revealed a very shallow leak in the short string tubing (3-phase production string). There isn’t room to straddle the hole in the tubing, so the below remediation involves the wellhead components, also. The goal of this project is to remediate the tubing hole and return the well to production Pertinent wellbore information: - June-2024 Diagnostics o Short string and IA have tracking pressures o Packoff plug set 20’ below deck in short string MIT from above down short string FAILS MIT down long string PASSES x Pressure goes down long string, and back up short string to packoff at 21’ x Standing valve in Kobe cavity at 8426’ prevents injection into reservoir / IA Indicates leak is somewhere in short string between hanger and 21’ below hanger - 7/24/14: Passed latest No-flow test - 10/15/1977: Current completion ran Tubing Repair Well: Granite Pt St 18742 33 Short String Tubing Patch Procedure 1. GOVERNOR SEAN PARNELL Mr. Stan Golis Operations Manager — CI Offshore Hilcorp Alaska, LLC P.O. Box 244027 Anchorage, AK 99524-4027 RE: No -Flow Verification Granite Point State 18742 Well #33 PTD 1770320 Dear Mr. Golis: Ai'aska Oil and'Cs 333 West Seventh Avenue Anchorage, Alaska 99501-3572 Main: 907.279.1433 Fax: 907.276.7542 November 5, 2014 XANW Novo 6 2014 On July 24, 2014 an Alaska Oil and Gas Conservation Commission (AOGCC) Petroleum Inspector witnessed a no -flow test of Granite Point State 18742 Well #33 located on the Anna Platform in Cook Inlet. The well is operated by Hilcorp Alaska, LLC (Hilcorp). A subsurface safety valve is not required to be installed in this well based on the no -flow test result. A fail- safe automatic surface safety valve system capable of preventing uncontrolled flow must be maintained in proper working condition in this well as required in 20 AAC 25.265. The AOGCC Inspector confirmed that the proper test equipment — as outlined in AOGCC Industry Guidance Bulletin 10-004 — was rigged up to Granite Point State 18742 Well 433. The well was monitored for eight hours with two shut-in periods each followed by flow periods. At the conclusion of the final flow period, a flow rate of 600 standard cubic feet of gas per hour was observed with a flowing pressure of less than 1 psi. Well #33 qualifies for a no -flow determination. The subsurface safety valve must be returned to service if Granite Point State 18742 Well #33 demonstrates an ability to flow unassisted to surface. Any cleanout, perforating or other stimulation work in this well will necessitate a subsequent no flow test. Please retain a copy of this letter on the Anna Platform. Sincerely, _P0 17N James B. Regg Petroleum Inspection Supervisor cc: P. Brooks AOGCC Inspectors MEMORANDUM Mate Of Alaska Alaska Oil and Gas Conservation Commission TO: Jim Regg jq I0j51 IVA- DATE: July 29, 2014 P. I. Supervisor FROM: Lou Grimaldi SUBJECT: No Flow Verification Petroleum Inspector Hilcorp, Anna Platform Granite Pt State 18742 #33 PTD 1770320 - SCANNED 110V 2 0 2d1 Granite Point Field Thursday, July 24, 2014: 1 witnessed the No -Flow test on Hilcorp's Anna Platform, well# 33 in the Granite Point Field. Jaimie Katzenburger, lead production operator, performed the test today for my witness. The pressure was read on an Erdco Armor -Flo resistance style gas flow meter, range of 150 scf/hr to1500 scf/hr, and with a recently calibrated 30 psi, 5" test gage w/0.2 psi increments. When I arrived, Anna #33 was observed to have 0.5 psi on the tubing/annulus and was flowing gas at a rate of 800 scf into a barrel. The annulus was open to the tubing. The routing of the hose was such that the hose downstream of the gas meter was impeding the flow. I had the well shut-in for a buildup and directed some changes in the equipment as to allow the surface pressure to be bled down lower. I observed the well for approximately eight hours during two shut-in then flow periods during which I observed less buildup and lower flow rates until at the end of the last flow period there was less than the maximum rate allowed (900 scf). I supplemented the pressure readings by submerging the bleed hose in a Five gallon bucket filled with water and measuring where the hydrostatic pressure would stop the gas bleeding. This confirmed the less than 1 psi readings I observed on the test gage. The following table contains the steps, pressures and flow rates observed: SPF Anna platform Well #33 No Flow Test 07/24/14 (Lou Grimaldi) Chrono 08:50(psi) Operation Pressure Flow sc 00:50 Flowing through Flow Meter. .5 800 01:00 Flowing through Flow Meter. .5 700 01:20 Flowing through Flow Meter. .5 700 01:30 Flowing through Flow Meter./Shut-in .5 650/----- 01:45 Well Shut-in. 1.0 ------- 02:00 Well Shut-in. 1.2 ------- 02:20 Well Shut-in. 2.0 ------- 02:30 Well Shut-in. 2.2 ------- 02:45 Well Shut-in. 3.2 ------- 03:00 Well Shut-in. 3.5 ------- 2014-0724_N o-Flow_GranitePt_State_ 17842_3 3 _lg. docx 1 of 2 03:15 Well Shut-in./ Start bleeding throu h Flow Meter. 3.5 --->1500 03:20 Flowing through Flow Meter. 3.0 >1500 03:25 Flowing through Flow Meter. 2.2 >1500 03:30 Flowing through Flow Meter. 1.7 >1500 03.40 Flowing through Flow Meter. 1.2 >1500 03:50 Flowing through Flow Meter. .7 1200 04:00 Flowing through Flow Meter. .5 950 04:15 Flowing through Flow Meter. .2 700 04:30 Flowing through Flow Meter. .2 650 04:45 Flowing through Flow Meter. .2 625 05:00 Flowing through Flow Meter./Shut-in .2 625/------ 05:10 Well Shut-in. .5 ------- 05:20 Well Shut-in. 1.0 ------- 05:30 Well Shut-in. 1.2 ------- 05:45 Well Shut-in. 1.7 ------- 06:00 Well Shut-in. 2.0 ------- 06:10 Well Shut-in./ Start bleeding through Flow Meter. 2.1 --->1500 06:15 Flowing through Flow Meter. 1.5 >1500 06:30 Flowing through Flow Meter. .7 1150 06:45 Flowing through Flow Meter. .4 800 07:00 Flowing through Flow Meter. .3 700 07:15 Flowing through Flow Meter. .2 600 07:30 Flowing through Flow Meter. 2 625 08:00 Sustained gas flow @ 600scf, Conclude Test. 2 600 I concluded the test at this point. There was still a fair amount of gas (approximately 600 scf) flowing but the well seemed stable at this point. It should be noted that this sustained residual gas flow (approximately 600scf) is not abnormal due to the constitution of the crude oil for this area of Cook Inlet. The well exhibited proper parameters for a no -flow status.
