Mark Womble was BP representative in charge of testing DS 03. Testing had been canceled on DS 03 1-14-01 due to blowing snow & chill factor of-50 degrees. Testing was conducted in a safe & efficient manner. Two failures were witnessed. The AOGCC test report is attached for reference. 21 wellhouses were inspected during SVS tests. Wellhouses are in fair condition considering these were inspected after our recent blow. No heat or lights are installed in wellhouses for producing wells. SUMMARY: I witnessed SVS tests in PBU on DS 03. 21 wells, 42 components tested. 2 failures witnessed. 4.8% failure rate. 21 wellhouses inspected. Box 196612 Anchorage, AK 99519-6612 Attention: Doyon 16 Drilling Engineer I have compiled a summary of Anadrill's performance on DS 3-15 A, Doyon 16. SERVICES PROVIDED Anadrill's DSW Service, comprised of our directional package with Downhole Weight on Bit (DWOB) and Downhole Torque (DTOR), was picked up on 18-Feb-93 and used to mill a section from 11449' to 11499' in 9 5/8" casing. DWOB proved useful both in ensuring sufficient weight transfer to efficiently begin the milling operation and in controlling the milling rate through a section of weak casing so that excessive cuttings buildup in the hole and flowline could be avoided. The tool was laid down on 19-Feb-93 and the same tool picked up again on 23-Feb-93 and used to drill the cement to the kick off point of 11454' and to kick off the well and drill to the end of the build/turn section. A total depth of 12207' was reached on 25-Feb-93. OPERATING STATISTICS Total operating time (over 200 gpm flow rate) was 72.4 hours over two MWD runs with a drilled footage of 752'. No MWD failures or problems occurred. There were five operating days and seven standby days on this well. JOB PERFORMANCE The kickoff went very well, calculated Formation Strengths (FORS) and Dimensionless Torque (TD) generated by the DWOB/DTOR supported Mechanical Efficiency Log (MEL) program indicated that we were off of the plug and into new formation after sliding approximately 21 feet. At this point DWOB was increased with a corresponding increase ~n rate of penetration. Calculated data from MEL and SPIN (Sticking Pipe Indicator) were monitored closely throughout the drilled section with no abnormal hole conditions indicated. Nineteen sliding surveys were taken on this well. The sliding surveys were used to reduce the dog leg severity during the kickoff section. A survey file has been generated using the measured inclination to give an interpretive dog leg severity. The azimuth was interpolated on these surveys (noted by an asterisk) due to magnetic interference from casing. The current well is producing with a high water cut due to a frac or channel into the Victor sands. The sidetrack should remove the well from this water source. Scope: 1. Squeeze the current perforations and lay a cement plug at least 100' above their top with coiled tubing. 2. Cut the tubing above the production packer. 3. MIRU the Doyon 16 workover rig. 4. Kill the well, nipple up the BOPE, and pull the 5-1/2" tubing out of the well. 5. Pressure test the 9-5/8" casing to 3500 psi. If needed, identify the source and extent of the leak. 6. Mill a 50' window in the 9-5/8" at 11,450'. Lay a cement plug across the window. 7. Drill an 8-1/2" hole to 12,779' MD. Run open hole logs. 8. Run and cement the 7" L-80/CR-80 liner and cement it. Test the liner and 9-5/8" casing to 3500 psi. 9. Run the 4-1/2" CR-80 completion with a 7" packer. Timinq: Doyon 16 will move to the DS 3-15 after completing the M-18 sidetrack. Pressure test the 9-5/8" casing to 3500 psi. If the casing leaks, determine depth of the leak with packers and the extent of the casing damage with a USIT log. Notify ARCO Engineering before continuing. RIH with a 9-5/8" section mill. Spot an 18 ppg on top of the packer. Mill a 50' window in the casing at 11,450'. Spot a 170 sx balanced cement plug from 11,600' - 11,250' across the window. Squeeze the cement into the window. . Replace the 9-5/8" packoff. It has a history of suspected leaks. Run an 8-1/2" steerable drilling assembly, dress off the cement plug to 5' below the window. Drill to 12,779' MD 9151' TVD. Lay down the MWD and PDM once the well is aligned with the target. . 11. Rig up Atlas and run a GR/Resistivity/Neutron/Density log. Run the 7" 29# CR-80/L-80 NSCC liner. Cement the liner with 260 sxs of Gl G blend cement. This includes 40% excess in the open hole. Set the liner hanger and liner top packer. Reverse out the excess cement. Clean out the liner to PBTD. Test the liner and 9-5/8" to 3500 psi. Displace the mud with clean inhibited sea water. 12. 13. Notify an AOGCC representative prior to commencing plug-back operations. . o Run in with coil tubing while circulating seawater. Lay a cement plug starting from PBTD. Squeeze down and leave the top of cement at least 100' above the top perforation but below the packer. Therefore, the top of cement should be somewhere between 12,226' and 11,792' MD. With AOGCC representative on location to witness operation, run in with slickline and confirm that top of cement is at least 100' above the top pedoration. , , If the cement is tagged more than 100' below the tubing tail, set a magna-range plug in the tubing tail to prevent future fluid swap-out when laying a kick-off plug. Run in with a jet / chemical cutter on E-line and cut the tubing in the first full above the packer PBR based upon the original completion tubing tally. 6. Circulate well over to seawater and freeze protect well with diesel to 2000'MD. 7. Bleed any pressure from the tubing, inner annulus and outer annulus to zero. . Install a back-pressure valve. Remove the well house and flowlines. Level the pad and dig out the cellar. Prepare the pad for arrival of the rig.
