Well names currently include a forward slash "/"followed by an obsolete bottom hole location designator. HAK would like to retain the well number as well as the "A, B, C...." sidetrack designations but remove the "/suffix". For example, "DUCK IS UNIT SDI 1-09A/121" would become "DUCK IS UNIT SDI 1-09A". The attached spreadsheet includes original and new names for all Duck Island wells. While performing the review of Duck Island well names, HAK found a single well, "DUCK IS UNIT SDI 4-20/M35" (PTD# 1861730), that should also be modified to include an "A" label to reflect the fact that the well is a sidetrack from the original "DUCK IS UNIT SDI 4-20/T34" (PTD # 1861500). The original wellbore, abandoned 10/13/1986, was sidetracked to a new bottom hole location completed on 9/9/1987. This well appears to be one of the first sidetracks performed at Endicott. While the bottom hole code was changed, no letter was added to reflect the sidetrack. "DUCK IS UNIT SDI 4-20A" is also included on the attached spreadsheet. The packer will not be recovered. 2. The existing perforations will be plugged with cement. 3. This well will be sidetracked at app. 8000 feet. PRE-RIG OPERATIONS 1. 2. . . . . RU wireline, Pull the WL SSSV. Drift and dummy off gas lift mandrels. RU and establish injection down 3-1/2" tubing. Pump 100 sx of class G cement and injection down the tubing. Displace to place cement across perforations from 13,000 to 13,122 MD AND at least 100' above top perf and 100 feet below bottom perforation (Cement from 12,900 to 13,222' MD). Squeeze cement if possible up to 1000 psi. RU wireline and cut tubing with chemical cutter above 3.5" x 9-5/8" packer at 11,964' MD. Circulate the 3.5" tubing with 1.5 volumes of sea-water. Check that the well is dead. Freeze protect the top 200' with diesel. Set BPV. Note: Maintain contact with Drilling. If rig move is delayed to more than four days after the well kill, a deeper freeze protect will need to be done by the PE's. Dig out the cellar and level the pad. Inspect the wellhead and tree. This well was drilled as a preproducing injector to support zones 3C3 and 3C5. It is currently shut-in due to Iow PI. This well is currently perforated in the 3C3 and 3C5 and will require no further profile modifications to begin injection service. Injection into zones 3C3/5 will provide much needed pressure support to 2-20/L-15 and 2-26/N-14 increasing both their rate and ultimate recovery. The conversion will significantly improve the MPI Niakuk 3C voidage replacement situation by replacing net voidage with net injection. Anticipated total injection into this well is 6 to 8 mbwpd. It is predicted that the water will split evenly between the two subzones. An injection survey should be performed to verify this split once the well has stabilized. Doyon 15, as is the custom, is a well-kept rig and all equipment I observed appeared to be functioning properly. The tool pusher (Mike Drody) and company rep (John Solario) were very helpful and polite. My visit was appreciated and return visits were requested by both. The surrounding area at first glance seems cluttered, but when taking into account the small area (allotted the drilling program) I feel that they make the best use of the minimal space. Fire lanes and emergency lanes were of adequate number and kept clear. In summary, Doyon 15 is a good looking rig and appears to be in good shape for drilling B.P.X.'s 2-30 in the Endicott Field. The completion will be run at the time of drilling and will consist of a straddle pack assembly. Operation Execute a rig move and rig-up. Vertically drill 16" hole with a 8.5 - 9.5 ppg mud system to 2700 feet. Run and cement 13-3/8" 68#/ft NT-80CYHE Buttress casing to surface. Pressure test casing. Install BOPE. Maximum BHP is 4890 psi at 10,000 ft. TVDss. Maximum possible surface pressure is 3900 psi base_d on a full gas column. Drill out casing and 5 ft. of new hole and conduct a formation leak-off test. Directionally drill 12-1/4" hole with a 9.0 - 10.2 ppg mud system to the intermediate casing point above the Kekiktuk formation. Run and cement 9-5/8" 47#/ft., NT80S and NT95HS, NSCC casing. No abnormal pressures are expected in the 12-1/4" hole section. Pressure test casing. Drill out casing shoe. Drill 8-1/2" hole with a 9.8 ppg mud system to TD. Run open hole logs. Run and cement 7" 29#/ft, L-80 buttress (TKC) liner to TD with approximately 250 ft. of lap in the 9-5/8" casing. Clean out to landing collar. Test casing and lap to 3000 psi. Change over to NaCI packer fluid Run CET/CBT/GR/CCL in 7" liner and CBT/GCT/gyro from PBTD to ~urface. Perforate well underbalanced utilizing drill pipe conveyed guns. Flow well for simple clean-up. Kill well and complete with a straddle pack assembly. A subsurface safety valve will be installed below base of permafrost. Nipple down BOPE. Install tree on wellhead and release rig. Fluids incidental to the drilling of the well will be pumped down the 13-3/8" by 9-5/8" annulus of the well. Run in 4 lockscrews lightly, 90° apart to keep plug from moving. 2. After test, retract lockscrews and pull plug. 3. Run in short bowl protector, Accessory Item 8, Part Number 538114, using the same running cool, Accessory Item 5, Part Number 538115, that was used for the long protector. 4. After bowl protector ts £n place, run in 4 lockscrews l~ghtly to hold protector in place. CAUTION: Upper lockscrews must be retracted when the bowl protector or BoO.
