A CTU clean-out was conducted in 10/97 to clean-out fill from across the perforations, however was aborted after coiled became stuck several times during the process. Additional attempts to clean-out the fill below the perforations will not be done due to the risk of sticking coiled tubing in the well. Therefore, the well will be P & A'd by setting a cement retainer in the 3-1/2" tubing at the production packer and down-squeezing cement into the open perfs above the current top of fill, as noted on the plugback schematic. PRE-RIG WORK: 1. RU slickline unit. RIH and dummy-off entire gas lift string. 2. RU CTU. RIH with inflatable cement retainer on CTU. Set inflatable in tubing tail immediately below production packer. Mix cement. Circulate the cement down coil to immediately above circulating valve on top of retainer. Close circulation valve and down-squeeze cement below retainer into A & C Sand perfs. Use sufficient volume to fill tubing down through tubing tail and 7" casing from top of fill to tubing tail, plus excess to squeeze away into perfs. Unsting from retainer and circulate well clean on top of inflatable retainer. RDMO CTU. 3. RU slickline unit. RIH and pull dummy valve from GLM at 11,037' MD RKB, leaving an open pocket. To fix the problem a workover with the Nordic workover rig has been scheduled in March 1994. We request approval to continue to produce this well in it's existing condition until that time. Risk is minimized by keeping the well on proiduction and the pressure drawn down. The well is only capable of producing 300 BQPD at a 25% water cut and a total gas oil ratio of 1500 scl/bbl. Reservoir pressure is estimated at about 2600 psi, and the well is capable of producing very little without gas lift. The new completion is proposed to be a single completion with 3-1/2 "tubing and six side pocket gas lift mandrels. The well was tested to tanks via temporary piping on 6/13/91 for 8.5 hours at a backpressure of 500 psi. A total of 620 bbls of fluid was produced from the well during the 8.5 hour test period. The water cut of the fluid was determined to be 5.5%. The daily rate based on this volume was calculated to be 1750 BFPD (_+1650 BOPD). The gas rate of 825 MSCFPD was estimated using a gas oil ratio (GOR) of 500 SCF/STB, which is the average GOR of the Drill Site 3G wells currently producing. Commission t~nchorage Notes: - Drilling fluid practices will be in accordance with the appropriate regulations stated in 20 AAC 25.033. - Maximum anticipated surface pressure is calculated using a surface casing leak-off of 13.5 ppg EMW and a gas gradient of 0.11 psi/ff. This shows that formation breakdown would occur before a surface pressure of 1745 psi could be reached. Therefore, ARCO Alaska, Inc. will test the BOP equipment to 3000 psi. The nearest well to 3G-21 will be 3G-20. As designed, the minimum distance between the two wells would be 25' at surface. The wells would diverge from that point. Excess non-hazardous fluids developed from well operations and those fluids necessary to control the fluid level in reserve pits will be pumped down the surface/production casing annulus. The annulus will be left with a non-freezing fluid during any extended shut down in pumping operations. The annulus will be sealed with 175 sx of cement followed by arctic pack upon completion of fluid pumping. * Spud mud should be adjusted to a funnel viscosity between 100-120 to drill gravel beds. Perform leak off test. Drill 8-1/2" hole to logging point according to directional plan. Run open hole evaluation logs or RLL as needed. Run and cement 7" casing. (Isolation of the Colville sands will be performed if there is hydrocarbon presence.) Pressure test to 3500 psi. ND BOPE and install temporary production tree. Secure well and release rig. Run cased hole cement evaluation and gyro logs. Move in and rig up Nordic #1. Install and test BOPE. Perforate and run completion assembly, set and test packer. ND BOPE and install production tree.
