On item 3, the 5-1/2" shoe is at 7925 which is what your drawing and text shows. The 10' difference is for the 3-1/2", but you. are not going that deep. Thanks for looking in to these points. Most are not critical, but as this shows it is possible to "pass on" errors. I had a workover I was doing on M pad and the drawing indicated there was 9-5l8" in the well,, but whenever I circulated it always took longer to "get bottoms up". I went to where BP kept their records and got the original file and found out that this was a well with "thermocase" in it. Essentially I should have been using 10-3/4" for my calculations. Volumes were close, but short. There often is worth going back to square 1 when there have been a lot of changes in a well. Just a couple of "points" after looking at the files. 1. I was able to confirm the shoe depth for the 5-1/2" liner. 2. There seems to be a discrepancy about the top of the 5-1/2" liner. 6039 and 6010 appear in the narrative report provided with the 3H-14B 407. 6039 is what you show on the 401 and I agree that is probably correct. I don't have any tallies to reference. 3. There maybe a 10' discrepancy on the shoe depth of the 3-1/2" liner. Your drawing shows 8450' and that is the TD tagged when the liner was run. The shoe could have been set 10' off bottom and that may be reflected in the liner tallies that are not in the file I have. 4. Your drawing doesn't show the 3-1/2" as a liner with the top at 7780 (according to the 401 for 3H-14BL1). 5. Your drawing shows a 7" shoe to be at 6039'. This is one of the possible liner top depths, but the 7" actually extends deeper. The top of the window according the the completion report is 6227'. Please give me a call if you'd like to discuss. I don't think these issues are critical here since all your coil work will be conducted inside the 3-1/2" liner well away from any other tubulars. But, as I point out, there appear to be some differences with the "text numbers" on the 401 and the drawing. Max. surface pressure with gas (0.1 psi/ft) to surface is 4400 psi. DOBCTD Pressure Drilling Dynamically overbalanced pressure drilling (DOBCTD) techniques will be employed to provide constant bottom hole pressure by using 9.9 ppg drilling fluid in combination with annular friction losses and applied ~ surface pressure. Constant BHP will be used to reduce pressure fluctuations to help with hole stability Applying annular friction and choke pressure also allows use of less expensive drilling fluid and minimizes fluid losses and/or fracturing at the end of the long wellbores. A hydraulic choke for regulating surface pressure will be installed between the BOPE choke manifolding and the mud pits and will be independent of the BOPE choke. Using this technique will require deployment of the BHA under trapped wellhead pressure. Pressure deployment of the BHA will be accomplished utilizing the BOP pipe/slips (2 3/8" rams, see attached BOP configuration). The annular preventer will act as a secondary containment during deployment and not as a stripper. Estimated max reservoir pressure: 5000 psi at 6071' TVD, 15.9 ppg EMW. ~ Expected annular friction losses while circulating: 720 psi. Planned mud density: 9.9 ppg equates to 3125 psi hydrostatic bottom hole pressure. While circulating 9.9 ppg fluid, bottom hole circulating pressure will be kept at an estimated 5100 psi or 16.lppg ECD. ~ When circulation is stopped, a minimum of 1250 psi surface pressure will be applied to maintain constant BHP. Operating parameters and fluid densities will be adjusted based on real-time bottom hole pressure measurements and shale behavior while drilling.
