Began rigging up. 3/23/94: Loaded cement, methanol, LCM & temporary well house and delivered them to location. Spotted well house over well & installed heater. Cleaned out catch tank. 3/24/94: Steamed out 7 inch casing to 160 ft. & ran 150 ft. of 1 inch cementing string. Rigged up Howco & pumped 32 sks. (150 ft.) permafrost cement down 1 inch string. (Cemented to surface then dropped 1 inch cementing string.) Closed well in, rigged down & prepared to move. 4/10/94: Checked psi on 7 inch & 7 x 9%. 7" was full to the top with cement, but the 7 x 9% had 120 psig on it. Moved in & rigged up bluey line & catch tank. Bled well to zero & then it began to flow arctic pac from the annulus. (6 bbls.) Shut well in. 4/22/94: Moving equipment to location to cement 7 x 9%. 4/23/94: Filled water van & widened road to get T-10 cementer to location. 4/25/94: Moved T-10 pump to location & 4 drums glycol. Moved heater to location. Waiting on Howco change order. 4/27/94: Went to location & rigged up T-10 pumper to 7 x 9% annulus & started heater to warm up the pump house. Waiting on Howco change order. 4/28/94: Fueled all equipment & built adaptor to allow us to start T-10 motors. Waiting on Howco change order. 4/29/94: Established injection rate down 7 x 9% with 60/40 glycol at 2 bpm @ 1000 psig. Mixed & pumped 120 sks (860') of permafrost cement down 7 x 9% at 2 bpm & 600-1000 psig. Shut well in, rigged down & started moving to NSB 5. 5/2/94: Opened road to location (experiencing a lot of wind). Mixed & gravitied 55 sks. permafrost cement in mixer truck & topped off the 7 x 9% annulus. SDFN. 5/3/94: Steamed & dug out cellar to 3% ft. BGL. Removed cellar cribbing. Cleaned up location SDFN. Opened road to location & had to open road to get out. P & A PROJECT 1994 NSB 3 (cont.) 5/4/94: Opened road. Moved in welding & cutting equipment & cut off casings. Installed dry hole marker at 3 ft. BGL (flat plate) as requested by AOGCC. Filled cellar with dirt. Opened road to get out. NORTH SLOPE BOROUGH DEPARTMENT OF INDUSTRIAL DEVELOPMENT BARROW GAS FIELDS P.O. The wellbore schematics for these wells are also attached. All of these wells are suspended wells which will not produce a commercial supply of gas to the Barrow community. In April of 1979, Husky Oil completed and tested the South Barrow #17 well for the NPR operations. It was determined that this well was not capable of producing commercially and it was left as a suspended but producible gas well. In May of 1987, the NSB #3 wildcat well was drilled and tested. The decision was made not to complete the well for production based on results from drill stem testing and wireline logging. The NSB #4, #5, and #6 wells were drilled and completed in the Sikulik Field during the period from 1987 to 1989. The NSB #6 well was the only well capable of producing commercial quantities of gas. The well produced for a short period until it was shut in on September of 1990 due to freezing problems. The NSB #4 and NSB #5 wells both produced considerable quantities of water. Workovers were performed on the NSB #4 and #5 wells in early 1990. Diesel oil-cement squeeze jobs were attempted on these wells in an effort to shut off water. However, follow up production tests revealed strong water flows which resulted in non commercial gas production and suspension of the wells. On October 29, 1992 Bill Crouch met with the AOGCC to propose and review a program to P/A these wells. Discussions during this meeting resulted in verbal approval of the proposal. The following is a summary of the proposed P/A program: RECEIVED FEB - 7 1994 A~ska uti & Gas Cons. Pump cement down the tubing until there are good cement returns on the annulus at surface. This will result in completely filling the 2-7/8" tubing and the 7" casing above the existing retainer. 2. Nipple down the Christmas tree and set a marker post or plate. NSB #3 NSB #4 1. Place a 150' surface plug in the 7" casing with 1" or 2" hose. 2. Nipple down the Christmas tree and set a marker plate or post. 1. P,mp a 150' surface plug in the 7"x9-5/8" annulus. 2. Bullhead the tubing full of cement and squeeze the perforations. The glycol heat string will be le~ in the 2-3/8"x4½" and 4½"x7" annuluses. 3. Nipple down the Christmas tree and set a marker plate or post. NSB #5 and #6 1. Pump a 150' surface plug in the 7"x9-5/8" annulus. 2. Fill the 2-3/8" tubing, 2-3/8"x4½" annulus, 4½"x7" annulus and squeeze the perforations with cement. 3. Nipple down the Christmas tree and set a marker plate or post. Subsequent to Bill Crouch's meeting with the AOGCC in October of 1992, we obtained funding approval for the P/A program and ordered the permafrost cement. Pending final approval from the commission, ice roads will be constructed to the wells and the P/A work will be scheduled to begin on or about the first week in March.
