Also, we are now running off of rig air. We had a line plumbed into the pump room, allowing use to run the rig air through the umbilical cord which eliminates any possibility of the line freezing up. Difficulties experienced: Due to this being the first well that the vortex cooler has been operational we had to keep a close eye on the temperature and RPMs for the condensate pump on the cooler. We are still learning what settings to use to keep this two parameters close to be constant. Recommendations: Continue to keep an eye on the vortex cooler data. Innovations and/or cost savings: Surface Data Logging After Action Review Employee Name: Leigh Ann Rasher Date: 25-Nov-2012 Well: SI13-FN4 Hole Section: Intermediate What went as, or better than, planned: INSITE worked well with minimal to no problems. The vortex cooler seems to be reducing moisture in the poly flow lines. Gas equipment worked fine. Difficulties experienced: The Canrig computer froze on several occassions during the intermediate section, causing a loss of ROP, WOB, and RPM data on the log. It is impossible for the Logger to prevent this from happening, the only solution is to reboot Canrig computer and adjust the depth in INSITE once everything is back up and running. Recommendations: Keep a close eye on Canrig computer in the future to prevent any major data gaps on the log. Ideal situation would be for Canrig to supply a much more reliable computer Innovations and/or cost savings: None for this section. Surface Data Logging After Action Review Employee Name: Emil Opitz Date: 1 December 2012 Well: SI13-FN4 Hole Section: Production What went as, or better than, planned: Vortex cooler reduced amount of moisture being carried from gas trap to unit to a negligble amount and lag has been accurate. Difficulties experienced: 1. Issues arose with the WITS connection to Canrig. After over 6 hours of troubleshooting, including 3 hours on the phone with Canrig Support on 3 separate phone calls, we had resorted to calculating lag manually and using the mud mans computer for pump strokes. Shortly thereafter, Canrig's computer began working again. 2. One of our computers failed mid-run. This was a "pizza box" style computer. It was mainly responsible for supplying a constant WITS feed to Petrolink per the contract. 3. Power was lost to our unit. When power was restored initially, we had only partial capabilities, and no heat. Recommendations: Power issue was on the rig side of our electrical connection/supply. The rig electritian should inspect our connection from end to end each time we rig up and rig down. Innovations and/or cost savings: Long term health of gas equipment will improve with reduced amount of moisture entering them, due to use of the Vortex Cooler.
