07/24/2012
Rig is being moved. Mudloggers are on standby.
07/25/2012
Mudloggers rigged up equipment in the unit to get ready to spud. The rig crew began to load pipe shed
with 5” drill pipe. Picked up 5” drill pipe, filled pits with spud mud and pick up tools.
07/26/2012
Continue picking up BHA #2. Drill ahead from 160’ MD to 250’ MD, encountered heavy clay and had to
clear the flow line. Continue drilling ahead from 250’ MD and pull out of hole to pick up final BHA #2. Run
in hole to 280’ MD and drill ahead to 1332’ MD at 602 gpm, 1030 psi, 40 rpm, and 20-30K WOB as of
midnight. Max gas observed during the last 24 hours was 54 units at a depth of 1031’ MD.
07/27/2012
Continue drilling ahead from 1332’ MD to TD at 2936’ MD. Circulate 3 bottoms up while back reaming out
of the hole from 2936’ MD to 2710’ MD. Continue to back ream out of the hole to 1502’ MD at 800 gpm
and 1500 psi as of midnight. Max gas observed during the last 24 hours was 4202 units at a depth of
1887’ MD with a chromatograph reading of predominantly Methane gas. While back reaming out of the
hole, high gas was observed again while back reaming from 1900’-1800’ MD.
07/28/2012
Continue to back ream out of the hole from 1502’ MD to BHA #2. Lay down BHA #2. Rig up the 13 3/8”
casing equipment. Check float and run in hole with the 13 3/8” casing to 2922’ MD, filling every 10 joints.
Break circulation at 7 bpm with no losses. Had an issue with the hanger hanging up in the riser stack. The
decision was made to cement with the hanger set. Rig down the casing equipment and circulate and
condition the mud for the cement job. Max gas observed while circulating on bottom was 117 units.
07/29/2012
Continue to condition the mud for the cement job. Rig up the cementers and proceed with the cement job.
Clean all surface equipment of cement. Rig down the cement crew. Nipple down the riser. Nipple up the
well head and BOP stack. Test the BOP stack as of midnight.
07/30/2012
Continue testing the BOP’s. Pick up BHA #3. Run in hole to 1213’ MD and perform a shallow hole test per
DD. Run in hole from 1213’ MD to 2718’ MD and wash to 2809’ MD. Test the 13 3/8” casing to 2500 psi
for 30 minutes. Continue to wash to 2840’ MD and tag the plug. Drill out the shoe track and the shoe,
then drill 20’ of new hole to 2955’ MD. Displace spud mud with 9.2 ppg LSND. Clean the surface
equipment and cut and slip drill line. Circulate bottoms up and perform an FIT to 12.2 ppg EMW. Rig
down the testing equipment as of midnight.
07/31/2012
Continue drilling ahead from 2955’ MD to 4790’ MD at 750 gpm, 1120 psi, and 60-80 rpm as of midnight.
Encountered calcareously cemented sandstones/siltstones reducing ROP. Max gas observed during the
last 24 hours was 84 units at a depth of 3088’ MD.
08/01/2012
Continue drilling ahead from 4790’ MD to 4865’ MD. Encountered more erratic torque and slow drilling.
Varied drilling parameters were noticed and the decision was made to pull out of the hole. Back ream
from 4865’ MD to 2905’ MD. Circulate 2 bottoms up with semi heavy unloading at the shakers. Pump a
dry job and pull out of the hole on elevators. Lay down BHA #3. Pick up BHA #4 with a new 12 ¼” PDC
bit. Run in hole and shallow test the MWD. Continue running in hole as of midnight.
08/02/2012
Continue to run in hole with BHA #4. Wash and ream from 4678’ MD to 4864’ MD. Circulate and condition
the mud to get to 900 gpm. Drill ahead from 4864’ MD to 5515’ MD at 897 gpm. 1580 psi, 180 rpm as of
midnight. Max gas observed during the last 24 hours was 59 units at a depth of 5437’ MD.
08/03/2012
Continued drilling ahead from 5515’ MD to 7680’ MD with 2-10K WOB, 120-180 rpm, 800-900 gpm, and
1500 psi. Still encountering hard spots during drilling with slow ROP. Max gas observed during the last 24
hours was 2294 units during the N Sand at a depth of 7064’ MD.
08/04/2012
Continued drilling ahead from 7680’ MD to TD at 7930’ MD. Circulate one bottoms up for the first five
stands per K&M rep. Continue back reaming out of the hole to 2904’ MD at 140 rpm, 900 gpm, and 1750
psi as of midnight. Max gas observed during the last 24 hours was 2765 units at a depth of 7848’ MD.
08/05/2012
Continue to back ream out of the hole from 2904’ MD to 1000’ MD. Circulate three bottoms up. Continue
to pull out of the hole on elevators. Lay down BHA #4. Prep and change out the rams to 9 5/8” and test.
Rig up the 9 5/8” casing equipment. Run in hole without filling casing to 3404’ MD as of midnight.
08/06/2012
Continue running in hole with 9 5/8” casing. Began rotating from 4964’ MD to 7920’ MD. Rig down casing
equipment. Rig up cementing head with bleeder open to choke “poor boy to relieve trapped air from pipe.
Hold a prejob safety meeting on filling the pipe. Fill pipe per plan to about 300 bbls, 150 bbls, and 100

Surface Data Logging
After Action Review
Employee Name: Zach Beekman Date: 27-Jul-2012
Well: SI25-N2 Hole Section: Surface
What went as, or better than, planned:
Rigging up the Vortex Cooler went very smooth. Both with getting the rig to mount it to
the wall and with rigging up the air lines. We are waiting to use it after surface casing
because we are waiting for Neil Shexneider to become available to help with instruction.
The installation was easy and very smooth. There was good communication between all
parties during the surface hole as this was the first well on the island that we were not
using a diverter line. Communication was key to make sure all parties were paying
attention toany potential high gas or gains in the pits. No issues resulted, but everyone
did a good job.
Difficulties experienced:
After updating to the new Insite version (7.3.7), we ran into a problem with our IRIS data
mapping and the data being WITS'd in from Canrig. All our WITS'd data had no folder to
write to so we had to re-do our IRIS data mapping to accept the data files. Also, while
setting up the upper gas trap, the adjusting handle broke. This has caused us to use the
lower trap during the surface section.
Recommendations:
In the future, lubricating the adjusting handle for the trap might be a good idea so it
doesn't sieze up.
Innovations and/or cost savings:
Surface Data Logging

Employee Name: Zach Beekman Date: 6-Aug-2012
Well: SI25-N2 Hole Section: Intermediate
What went as, or better than, planned:
Insite worked as it was supposed to with minimal to no problems.
Difficulties experienced:
About half way through the intermediate section, all internet connections were lost
between the camp. We lost out feed to the geologist/co man computers and our WITS
feed to Petrolink. Though this was of no control to us it was quite bothersome. A GCI rep
was notified and sent to the island to fix communications. We also had our last full size
sieve get broken by one of our sample catchers. The sample catchers were left with a 4"
sieve originally used for drying samples and easy to use for cleaning.
Recommendations:
Need to have a few extra sieves on hand for when they break.

Surface Data Logging
After Action Review
Employee Name: Emil Opitz Date: 18-Aug-2012
Well: SI25-N2 Hole Section: Production
What went as, or better than, planned:
Insite worked as it was supposed to with minimal to no problems.
Difficulties experienced:
Gas trap motor siezed up just prior to drilling production section. ECD's were not being
recognized by INSITE, therefore we were unable to send to RIGWATCH for all drilling
personnel to see real time.
Recommendations:
We had a backup gas trap motor on hand, and the rig electritian wired it up with the
previous traps' premeasured cable. This made for an easy swap out.
We learned that due to an INSITE update, all settings were deleted. INSITE updates
should either incorporate custom settings, or warn users to backup/save custom
settings/records. If neither of these two possibilites are feasible, than at least inform
personnel that they will need to re-create all custom records. We learned this after
drilling had commenced, and were unable to make any changes until the next run was
started in INSITE - even if we had made changes, they do not take effect until a new run
is started in INSITE. Starting a new run while drilling ahead in production section is not
an option, so we were forced to wait until we could start a new run. This prevented us
from WITSing real-time ECD data to all rig personnel and screens, as well as the Geo,
Pusher, Company Man, and K&M rep in camp; all of whom depend on us relaying this
data to them.
