In 1994, 1Y-16 was converted to a WAG injector. A 11-28-02 Waterflow log shows all PWI flowing through a leaky lower packer of the selective with up flow behind tubing to thief zones in the selective. A 10/18/15 IPROF shows all PWI exiting tubing at -7950' RKB. A 1/6/16 Caliper saw a large hole 8' below the tubing tail in 7" casing. A 2/22/16 PNL/Warmback found no gas bubble under the lower packer behind tubing tail (indicating a packer leak). A gas bubble was seen under the upper packer at 7669' RKB (indicating packer integrity). Warm backs show no flow to A Sd perfs, but flow exists to B & C3/C4 perfs inside casing via the lower packer leak. The casing hole -8' below tubing tail does not appear to be taking PWI per warmbacks after 290 bbls cold Seawater pumped at 4 bpm down tubing. A 9/15/16 fullbore Gel job placed185 bbls of Gel to the C sand perfs through the lower packer leak, while A sand perfs were covered by a sand plug. On 9/22/16, coil tubing cleaned out Gel to tubing tail and did an MITT to 2100 psi which bled off indicating communication still exists to the C sand. Due to 91' of open C & B sand perfs, more Gel volume is probably required to shut off the C & B sand perfs. It is proposed that up to 500 bbls of additional Gel be fullbore pumped down tubing around the tubing tail through the lower packer leak to B and C3/C4 thief sands to halt PWI to these zones. After the gel placement cures, coil tubing will jet out excess Gel to tubing tail, then perform an MITT to 2000 psi, followed by a cleanout of the A sand isolation sand plug to convert 1Y-16 to 'A sand only' PWI. Procedure: 1) Pumping: MIRU pumping equipment to fullbore pump additional Gel job to seal off the lower packer leak at 7928' RKB and shut off the C & B sand perfs at: 7767 - 7827', 7844 - 7850', and 7856 - 7881' RKB. Fullbore pump 69 bbls (1 tubing volume) of Seawater at matrix injection rates less than -1526 psi on Wellhead, then mix crosslinked Gel 'on-the-fly' while it is pumped down the tubing at matrix injection rates for as long as possible, or until a total of 500 bbls total Gel volume has been pumped into the well below Frac pressure (-1526 psi, when assuming Friction Pressure = 0 psi). Displace Gel with 5 bbls Seawater Spacer, followed by up to 60 bbls Diesel FP at matrix rates followed by Shutdown. Wait a minimum of 24 hours to let the Gel fully cure in the formation. 2) Coil Tubing: RIH with a Jet Swirl Nozzle to remove Gel from Tubing down to the Tubing Tail at 7958' RKB, then perform an MITT to 2000 psi to assess success of the Gel job at halting injectivity to the B & C sands. Bleed off MITT pressure and proceed to perform a Sand Plug cleanout to uncover the A sand perf intervals to as deep as possible. FP the tubing with 20 bbls Diesel. POOH w with CT. RD CTU. Return 1Y-16 to 'A Sand Only' PWI service & obtain valid injection rate. A arhment in niipriratP v`T3/ / ! « ---l/'/6 • • 1Y-16 Seal Selective Lower Packer Leak Procedure 1Y-16 was drilled & completed in 1983 as a producer, and then in 1994 it was converted to a WAG injector. A 11-28-02 Waterflow log showed all PWI flowing through a leaky lower packer of the selective with up flow behind tubing to thief zones within the selective. A 10/18/15 IPROF shows all PWI exiting the tubing at 7950' RKB. A 1/6/16 Caliper saw a large hole 8' below the tubing tail in 7" casing. A 2/22/16 PNL/Warmback found no gas bubble under the lower packer behind tubing tail (indicates packer leak). A gas bubble was seen under the upper packer at 7669' RKB (indicates packer integrity). A NRWO is proposed to convert 1Y-16 to A Sd only PWI. The A sand perfs will be covered by sand plug, and then a `ringing' gel will be pumped down tubing and around the tubing tail through the lower packer leak to B & C3/C4 thiefs to halt PWI to these zones. After the gel placement sets up, coil ' tubing will jet out excess gel and the sand plug to convert 1Y-16 to A sand only PWI. Procedure: 1) DSL / Slickline: Dump bail sand plug into 7" casing to cover the A4 perfs at 8013 - 8030' RKB. Final target TOS will be in the 7970 - 7990' RKB window. Recent logs verify no SI crossflow exists. Last tag = 8030' RKB on 2/20/16 during Eline logging. The A3 perf interval at 8041 - 8096' RKB is fill covered. Target TOS ensures enough sand will cover the A sand perfs from Gel exposure, but it leaves the large hole at 8' below tubing tail exposed to Gel (in case it's open to a channel /thief behind casing). 2) Pumping: MIRU pumping equipment for fullbore pumping a Gel job to seal off the lower packer leak at 7928' RKB. Batch mix 100 bbls clean `lead' Gel in a batch mixer, and mix 20 bbls `tail' Gel with 30 - 50% fine solids added (by weight) in displacement tank. Add Organic Crosslinker to gel batches and mix thoroughly -1 hour prior to pumping the Gel. Fullbore 69 bbls (1 tubing volume) Seawater at 4 bpm, followed by 100 bbls `lead' Crosslinked Gel at 2 - 4 bpm, followed by 20 bbls of `tail' Crosslinked Gel with fine solids added at 2 - 4 bpm, followed by 5 bbls Seawater Spacer, followed by up to 60 bbls Diesel FP at 2 -4 bpm, followed by Shutdown. Leave `tail' Gel under-displaced in tubing by at least a few barrels. Let the solids settle out from `tail' Gel in the IA prior to Gel set to leave the TT x Csg annulus, the Packer leak, and some footage of lower IA between the Packer and thief zone(s) solids filled (target -30% gel volume in IA solids matrix porosity). IA solids packing bonded by gel intends to add significant shear strength to the Gel placement to halt PWI to the thief zones. RD pumping equipment. Wait 24 hrs to cure up `ringing' Gel. 3) Coil Tubing: RIH with Jet Swirl Nozzle to remove Gel and Sand Plug from the well bore and to uncover the A sand perf intervals to as deep as possible. FP tubing with 20 bbls Diesel. RD CTU. Return 1Y-16 to `A Sand Only' PWI service & obtain valid injection rate. A 20", 2000 psi annular diverter will be installed on the 16" conductor while drilling the surface hole. A 13-5/8", 5000 psi, RSRRA BOPE stack will be installed on the 10-3/4" surface pipe. It will be tested upon installation and weekly thereafter. Test pressure will be 3000 psig (1800 psi for annular). Expected maximum surface pressure will be 2730 psig. Pressure calculations are based on current reservoir pressure. Surface pressure calculated with unexpanded gas bubble at surface including temperature effects. Selected intervals will be logged. The well will be completed with 3-1/2", 9.2#, J-55 buttress tbg. Non-freezing fluids will be left in uncemented annuli through the permafrost interval. Selected intervals will be perforated within the Kuparuk formation and reported on subsequent reports. A downhole safety valve will be installed and tested upon completion of the job. Estimated top of cement on 7" casing string is calculated to be(~800_-~. M~which is 500' MD above top of West Sak Sands.
