PO Box 196612 Anchorage AK 99519 Re: Cancelled or Expired PTD's. Dear Gunkel: The Alaska Oil and Gas Conservation Commission ("AOGCC") approved the following referenced permit to drills. The AOGCC has a long-standing policy of releasing cancelled or expired permits two years from the date the application was approved by the AOGCC. The following files are scheduled to be released October 1, 2001. Permit to Drill No.'s: 97-047 98-019 99-002 97-056 98-050 99-009 97-082 98-135 ., 97-090 98-154 97-100 98-155 97-121 98-164 97-159 98-167 97-191 98-177 98-210 98-211 98-223 98-236 .. 98-257 98-261 Sincerely, Executive Secretary Memorandum State of Alaska Oil and Gas Conservation Commission Well File: C)~_ ~.~lo~ ~ DATE Cancelled or Expired Permit Action EXAMPLE: Point McInt3rre P2-36AXX API# 029-22801-95 Au,] 31, This memo will remain at the f£om of the subject well file. Our adopted conventions for assigning AP! numbers, permit numbers and well names did not specifically address expired or cancelled permits. This omission has caused some inconsistencies i: the treatment of these kinds of applications for permit to ddil. Operators have asked us to adopt formal procedures for this class of permit application in order to prevent future database disparities. If a permit expires or is cancelled by an operator, the permit number of the subject permit will remair, unchanged. The APl number and in some instances the well name reflect the number of preexistin.( reddils and or muitilaterais in a well. In order to prevent confusing a cancelled or expired permit with an active well or multilateral these case sensitive well identifiers will be changed for expired and cancelled applications for permits to ddll. The APl number for this cancelled or expired permit is modified so the eleven and twelfth digits is 9--. The well name for a cancelled or expired permit is modified with an appended xx. These procedures are an addendum to the AP! numbering methods descnbed in AOGCC staff memorandum "Multi-lateral (welibore segment) Ddiling Permit Procedures, revised December 29, 1995. AOGCC database has been changed to reflect these changes to this permit. H-10 is a conventional big bore design, but with a 7" cemented liner tieback extending from the original liner top to 2500' MD. An aggressive three dimensional directional profile is necessary to intersect the target polygon. A 1300 foot high angle well- bore is planned to access the Ivishak Zone 4B target, positioned using a pilot wellbore to determine structure and fluid levels. A high angle section will penetrate the Zone 4B interval at approximately 80°. P50 NLOC is 68 feet. The Sag River lateral sidetrack should be about 1900 feet in an area of nearly flat structural dip. This target is a safe fallback which should provide moderate production rates. P50 NLOC is 25 feet. H-10 is a conventional big bore design, but with a 7" ce- mented liner tieback extending from the original liner top to 2500' MD. An aggressive three dimensional directional profile is necessary to intersect the target polygon. A 1300 foot high angle wellbore is planned to access the Ivishak Zone 4B target, positioned using a pilot wellbore to determine structure and fluid levels. A high angle section will penetrate the Zone 4B interval at approximately 80©. P50 NLOC is 68 feet. The Sag River lateral side- track should be about 1900 feet in an area of nearly flat structural dip. This target is a safe fallback which should provide moderate production rates. P50 NLOC is 25 feet.
