Yesterday we installed a tubing patch across the known leak in 3M-03 and achieved a passing CMIT TAA to 2500 psi against the lower patch packer and a passing MIT -T to 2500 psi against the upper patch packer. We were able to bleed the IA pressure from 2200 psi to 1400 psi with no increase on the IA. We intend to bring the well on production and will perform a TIFL to further verify the patch integrity Pending a passing re- TIFL we will submit 10-404 documentation for the patch installation. The schematic is from Wellview, but I've marked it up to highlight the tubing leak depth and plug depth. Yes, gravel pack work was recently performed. I believe we are still in the process of evaluating if it came out as planned. A passing CMIT to 2500 psi was performed 10/21/19 against a CA -2 plug set before the gravel pack work was started. The current stuck CA -2 plug was set on 11/11/19 as part of patch prep work. We didn't perform a CMIT against the current plug, but the well service report from the day it was set says we got a good combo tubing/IA drawdown test after the plug was initially set. Work was already in progress today to pull the plug before we noticed the IA pressure reading. CPAI would like to continue work to evaluate the gravel pack and start patch work. A 10-404 for the patch will be submitted once the patch is successfully set in this producer. Is this information/notification sufficient to satisfy Rule 5 of CO 494 and continue our path to remediation? Or do we need to submit a 10-403 stating our intention to set a patch? This procedure outlines steps to pump a Carbo Fusion gravel pack. / Procedure: Slickline/ DHD (Set Plug, CMIT) 1. Rig up Slickline. Host safety meeting, inspect location, document hazards. 2. RIH with plug drift to D -nipple at 7,033.8ft KB. 3. Set plug in D -nipple at 7,033.8ft KB. 4. Perform CMIT-TxIA to 2500psi. Record initial, 15 and 30 min TIO pressures. If CMIT-TxIA passes proceed to Step 5. Otherwise contact Well Integrity Supervisor (x7126) to troubleshoot failed test. S. Pull plug from D -nipple. 6. RDMO Coil Tubing (Spot Fusion Proppant) 1. Rig up Coiled Tubing. Host safety meeting, inspect location, document hazards. 2. RIH and tag liner obstruction at 7,456ft KB. 3. Spot Carbo Fusion proppant slurry from tag depth to 7,365ft KB, pumping 2bpm while pulling out of hole. While pumping in proppant slurry and pulling up hole, continue to pump in sea water from the back side to replace CT voidage. 4. Once all proppant spotted, run back down for tag to confirm the proppant top while continuing to pump sea water from the back side. 5. If the tag is between 7,355ft to 7,375ft KB, pull CT out of the hole while continuing to pump sea water from the back side to replace CT voidage. • NOTE: Additional placement of proppant slurry may be necessary to achieve desired gravel pack height. 6. RDMO. Allow 2 days for carbo fusion proppant to cure. Handover to Well Integrity for tubing patch install. The well was flagged with high IA pressure on the inner annulus 9/13/2018. The pressure increase was a result of the upper components of a tubing patch having been pulled in preparation for a fill clean out. CPAI bled the IA and has continued to progress well work for the fill clean out; However, the patch packer became stuck resulting in ongoing well work to retrieve it. During this time, the IA has stabilized around 1600 psi. This morning the IA pressure began to increase to 1950 psi., due to the tubing leak exposed as a result of the ongoing patch recovery attempt. The plan forward is to load kill weight fluid as soon as operationally possible to maintain the IA pressure. Previous bleeds have resulted in the well freezing off, thus until kill weight fluid is loaded, we intend to allow the IA pressure to rise, not exceeding 2,200 psi. The production casing is 7" 26# J-55 with an internal yield rating of 4,980 psi (45% here is 2,241 psi). Please let me know if you have any questions or disagree with this plan forward. The tubing developed an ice plug and elevated IA pressure was exhibited when attempting to pump hot down the IA. The IA pressure is currently at 2180 psi. The 7"26 lb J-55 is rated to 4980 psi. The plan forward is to remove the ice plug and then diagnose and address any AnnComm issues that may exist. Attached is a 90 day TIO and wellbore schematic. Each of these wells was found to have a void in the conductor. These voids were filled with cement and corrosion inhibitor, engineered to prevent water from entering the annular space. As per previous agreement with the AOGCC, this letter and spreadsheet serves as notification that the treatments took place and meets the requirements of form 10-404, Report of Sundry Operations. The attached spread sheet presents the well name, top of cement depth prior to filling and volumes used on each conductor. Please call MJ Loveland at 907-659-7043, if you have any questions. I do not know what effective depth (MD and TVD) signifies. Would you please be able to provide an explanation as to what exactly effective depth is? I will promptly provide the information that you need once I know what it is, so that I can locate it for you. Please forgive my ignorance and I very much appreciate your time in the explanation in this matter. Regards, Jan Byrne/ Dusty Freeborn Problem Wells Supervisor ConocoPhillips Alaska, Inc. Each of these wells was found to have a void in the conductor. These voids were filled with corrosion inhibitor, engineered to prevent water from entering the annular space. As per previous agreement with the AOGCC, this letter and spreadsheet serves as notification that the treatments took place and meets the requirements of form 10 -404, Report of Sundry Operations. The corrosion inhibitor /sealant was pumped 10/18, 10/19 and, 10/21, 2011. The attached spreadsheet presents the well name, top of cement depth prior to filling, and volumes used on each conductor. Please call MJ Loveland or Martin Walters at 907 - 659 -7043, if you have any questions.
