The C sand has watered out and hydraulically limits A sand production. An infill injector is planned for 2000 in this fault block and along with existing producer 3F-19 will recover the remaining ^ sand reserves. The sidetrack of 3F-13 is into an isolated fault block to the west, targeting A sand reserves with injection support provided by 3F-16A. The 3F-13 C sand is currently shut in and the gas lift mandrels contain dummy valves (except for an OV in the top station at 2479' MD RKB). The tubing tail with stuck ^merada gauges in the 'D' nipple was cut on 8/30/97 at 7666' MD RKB. There is also documented 7" by 9 5/8" communication when the well is on gaslift and dried pipe dope on the 7" BTC connection is suspected. The 7" casing pack off pressure tested successfully on 7/17/99. The P&A to prepare the well for sidetracking is a two step procedure. First setting a bridge plug in the 3-1/2" tubing above the bottom production packer to isolate the A sand perforations and then setting a cement retainer as noted on the plugback schematic and down-squeezing cement through the AVA and into the open C sand perfs. P&A WORK (Pre-Rig): RU slickline unit. RIH and pull 1/4" OV at 2479' MD RKB and run dummy valve. Pressure test 7" casing to 3500 psi for 30 min (chad test). RIH and pull BPI from AVA at 7640' MD RKB. RU E-line unit or use SL downhole power unit. RIH and set bridge plug in 3-1/2" tubing at +/-7647' MD RKB (middle of 10' pup joint below AVA and above Otis 'WD' packer) to isolate A sand perforations. 3. RU pump truck. Perform C sand injectivity test for upcoming CTU squeeze, by bullheading +/- 15 bbls of diesel down tubing into perforations. Record pressure and pump rate. , RU CTU. RIH and establish injection rate into perforations. Record breakdown pressure and rate. Note final injection rate and pressure. Tag bridge plug set in step #2 to tie-in CTU depth with RKB depth and flag coil. RIH with cement retainer on CTU and set retainer at +/- 7390' MD RKB (in first full joint of 3-1/2" tubing below Baker 'HB' packer). Squeeze 37 bbls of 15.8 ppg Class G cement below retainer (10 bbl for the 3-1/2" and 7" volume between the packers + 27 bbis into perfs). If needed, use a spotting valve placed immediately above the retainer to displace the cement down coil to desired distance above top of retainer. Close valve and pump cement squeeze below retainer into perfs. Unsting from retainer and circulate any excess cement from well bore. Leave well shut-in with initial tubing pressure on wellhead. RDMO CTU. Bleed annulus pressure to 0 psi. Pressure test tubing above cement retainer to 2500 psi for 30 min (chart test). Slowly bleed tubing pressure to 0 psi and monitor pressure for build-up. 7. RU slickline unit. RIH and pull 1-1/2" DV from bottom GLM at 7300' MD RKB, leaving an open pocket. 8. RU E-line unit. RIH and cut tubing at +/-7330' MD RKB (middle of first full joint of 3-1/2" tubing above Baker 'HB' packer). 9. Remove well house and scaffolding. On the second perforating run, the magnetic centralizers MUST be set up with the charges offset 45° to the OPPOSITE side of center as set up for the first gun run to achieve two separate rows of 4 SPF perforations for an effective 8 SPF, 90° "V" phasing. Selected intervals will be logged. A 20", 2000 psi annular diverter will be installed on the 16" conductor while drilling the surface hole. The 13-5/8", 5000 psi, RSRRA BOP stack will be installed on the 9-5/8" surface casing. The stack and related equipment will be tested to 3000 psig upon installation and weekly thereafter. Expected maximum surface pressure is 2750 psi. Pressure calculations are based on virgin reservoir pressure. Surface pressure is calculated with an unexpanded gas bubble at surface, including temperature effects. Casing will be tested to 3500 psi prior to releasing the drilling rig. Non-freezing fluids will be left in uncemented annuli through the permafrost interval. 3F-13 will be 25' away from 3F-12 at the surface. There are no closer wellbores anywhere downhole. Reserve pit fluids will be disposed of by pumping them down the 7" x 9-5/8" annulus of this well. The 7" x 9-5/8" annulus will be left with a non-freezing fluid during any interruptions in the disposal process. (continued on attached sheet) 23. The well will be completed by the workover rig using 3-1/2" or 2-7/8" tubing. Selected intervals will be perforated within the Kuparuk formation and reported on subsequent reports. A subsurface safety valve will be installed and tested upon conclusion of the job.
