Each of these wells was found to have a void in the conductor. These voids were filled with cement if needed and corrosion inhibitor, engineered to prevent water from entering the annular space. As per previous agreement with the AOGCC, this letter and spreadsheet serves as notification that the treatments took place and meets the requirements of form 10-404, Report of Sundry Operations. The cement was pumped September 24 & December 12 2007 and the corrosion inhibitor/sealant was pumped on December 6 & December 14 2007. The attached spreadsheet presents the well name, top of cement depth prior to filling, and volumes used on each conductor. Please call myself or MJ Loveland at 907-659-7043, if you have any questions. Subject: Re: 2A-15 & 2A-13 Date: Fri, 04 May 2001 17:18:17 -0700 From: Tom Maunder <tom_maunder@admin.state.ak. us> To: Patrick Reilly <preilly@ppco.com> CC: Brian Noel <bnoel@ppco.com> Pat, Thanks for the note and discussion. I also received your fax. I understand your fishing problems. Your proposal is appropriate. You have approval to change the completion assembly as proposed on 2A-15 and as needed on 2A-13. By copy of this email, you have "verbal" approval to proceed with the workover of 2A-13. Tom Maunder, PE Petroleum Engineer AOGCC Patrick Reilly wrote: Tom, Per our conversation, we would tike to change the completion on 2A-15. We were not able to retrieve the blast ring section. The plan is to keep the existing completion from the cut 2 3/8" tubing @ 7643' down. Starting from the cut and going up, we will run a 2 3/8" overshot, 2 7/8" Hydrili 511 tubing to above the linertop @ 7212', XO to 3.5" 8RND, lit of 8 md, 1 jt of slotted 3.5", a 3.5" DS nipple with pups on top and bottom, I jt of 3.5", 1 pup it. Above that point, the well will be the same as the plan you approved earlier, that is a 3.5" FHL packer, PBR, XO to 4.5" to surface with GLM's. There is a chance that the same completion will have to be run on 2A-13. Thanks for the help. Supervisor FROM: Chuck Scheve; SUBJECT: Petroleum Inspector DATE: January 4, 2001 Safety ValVe Tests Kuparuk River Unit -2A Pad Thursday, January 4, 2001' I traveled to the Kuparuk River Field and Witnessed the semi annual safety valve system testing on 2A Pad. As the attached AOGCC Safety Valve SyStem Test Report indicates I witnessed the testing of 12 wells and 24 components with one failure observed. The SurfaCe Safety Valve on Well 2A-12 had a slow leak when pressure tested. This valve will be serviced and retested by the operator. ' Earnie Barndt conducted the testing today he demonstrated good test procedure and was a pleasure to work with All the wellhouses entered at this location were clean and all related eqUiPment appeared to be in good condition. Summary: I witnessed the semi annual SVS testing at ZA Pad in the KuparUk River Field. KRU 2A Pad, 12 wells, 24 components, 1. failure 4.1% failure rate 21 wellhouse inspections . A 20", 2000 psi annular diverter will be installed on the 16" conductor while drilling the surface hole. The 9-5/8" casing will be set through the West Sak sands at approximately 3265' MD{2813' TVD). A 13-5/8", 5000 psi, RSRRA BOPE stack will be installed on the 9-5/8" surface pipe. It will be tested upon installation and weekly thereafter. Test pressure will be 3000 psig. Due to gas injection at 2A Pad, Kuparuk "C" Sand pressures are presently over 3500 psi {~ 6200'SS TVD) and still increasing. To drill the well safely, 7" casing will be set at 7624'MD {5864'TVD) {approximately 100' above the "C" Sand). The 13-5/8", 5000 psi, RSRRA BOPE stack equipped with 3-1/2" rams will be reinstalled and the rams tested to 4000 psi, the annular to 3000 psi. A 6-1/8" hole will be drilled to TD. A 5" liner will be set at TD with a 200' overlap. Expected maximum surface pressure is 2918 psi. Pressure calculations are based on latest reservoir pressure. Surface pressure is calculated with an unexpanded gas bubble at surface, (see attached sheet) · 23. Selected intervals will be logged. The well will be completed by the workover rig with 3-1/2", 9.2#, J-55, 8rd tbg. Non-freezing fluids will be left in uncemented annuli through the permafrost interval. Selected intervals will be perforated within the Kuparuk formation and reported on subsequent reports. A downhole safety valve will be installed and tested upon completion of the job. 2A-13 will be 730' away from 2A-lA at the surface. There are no other close wellbores or crossings anywhere downhole. Top of cement for the production string will be placed at 6653'MD, approximately IO00'MD above the top of the Kuparuk Sands. The 5" liner will be cemented from TD through the liner lap. After WOC, the liner will be cleaned out and the lap tested to 3000 psi. Reser've pit fluids will be disposed of down the 9-5/8" x 7" annulus. The 9-5/8" x 7" annulus will be left with a non-freezing fluid during any interruptions in the disposal process. After the workover rig has moved off location, this well may be fracture stimulated.
