The attached sundry notices are intended to serve as notice of the pending temporary shut-in of all wells located within the Milne Point Unit. There are 19 active and 5 inactive production wells at Milne Point. ACTIVE: B-~,~ n-'^_ ~=, B-6, B-9, B-i0,_ R-ii,_ B-13, B-~5 C-1,_ C-o~, C-3, C-4, C-5A, C-7,~.-~ ~ ~, C-13, C-i4, C-16 STA'.TiC: B-20, B-2~, B-22 C-17, C-!8 ~_ active oroductzon wells will be freez= protected ;- dis~!acinz ~he too 3000' of the tubing with a i:3 diese~ . ~_:oi! mixture. The =.~u .... ._~"-=~ fiuid levels will be monitored for leaking gas lift valves, if necessary the production casing annulus wi~ ~ be displaced .... w~.,..~ ,-~ diesel:oil mixture to at least 3000'. Once the shut-down operation is completed, pressure surveys will be run in all production ~ells. ~± SCSSVs and After the surveys are run BPVs will be installed and ~' wellhead valves will be closed. The inactive production wells have been adequately freeze protected with diesel across the permafrost. There are currently ten active and six inactive ~ater injection wells in the Milne Point Unit. ACTIVE: B-8, B-12, B-14, B-17, B-18 C-8, C-Ii, C-12, C-15 CFP-2 STATIC: B-5A, B-7, B-19 C-6, C-10, C-19 Active water injection wells will be freeze protected by displacing the tubing to at least 2000' with a 50:50 water:methanol mix. The SCSSV and wellhead valves will remain open for two-to three weeks after the well is shut-in to monitor wellhead pressure. -When adequate wellhead data has been obtained the BPVs will be set and the SCSSVs and all wellhead valves will be closed° The static injection wells are currently freeze protected and no additional work will be required. Injection water is supplied by three water source wells. %hough only one well is active at any given time, all wellS are capable of produc- ing. A-2A; B-l; CFP-1 Water source wells will be freeze protected by displacing the tubing to at least 2000' with a 2:1 propylene glycol:water mixture. After the wells have been displaced with the glycol:water the BPVs will be set and all wellhead valves will be closed. The E-2 gas storage well has been shut-in since July 1986 due to a tubing' leak. The wellbore is filled with natural gas so that freezing is not a concern, but to prevent potential corrosion an inhibitor will be displaced into the well. A 50:50 methanol:water mix will be used to carry the inhibitor. ~z= you have any cuestions on the shutdow~ procedure please contact Don Girdler at 564-7637.
