Dear Mr. Dan Seamount: t q3"0~¢b ~ ~ ' 2r~-' Enclosed please find a spreadsheet with a list of wells from the Kuparuk field (KRII). Each of these wells was found to have a void in the conductor. These voids were filled with cement if needed and corrosion inhibitor, engineered to prevent water from entering the annular space. As per previous agreement with the AOGCC, this letter and spreadsheet serves as notification that the treatments took place and meets the requirements of form 10-404, Report of Sundry Operations. The corrosion inhibitor/sealant was pumped February 9~' &10~`, 2010. The attached spreadsheet presents the well name, top of cement depth prior to filling, and volumes used on each conductor. Please call MJ Loveland or Perry Klein at 907-659-7043, if you have any questions. ConocoPhillips Well Integrity Projects Supervisor i ~ ConocoPhillips Alaska Inc. This injection valve will act as a one-way check valve allowing downward injection of water while preventing upward flow of the injected fluid. The injection valve is capable of preventing uncontrolled upward flow by automatically closing if such an event should occur. This well's completion design, scheduled to be installed in June, will not include a hydraulic control line from the surface to the subsurface valve, however a landing nipple will be installed at approximately 1__800' to accept the spring-controlled injection valve. Installation of the valve would be performed following the original completion and prior to initial water injection. Attached is a schematic of the proposed injection valve. Parker _245 dive.rter system was of "model" design and !aid out correctly. Upon activation, the ball valve on the selected vent line opened quickly and the annular preventer was fully closed at 41 seconds. The vent lines were 10" with all turns targeted and Flanged correctly. The permit to drill does not exempt you from obtaining additional permits required by law from other governmental agencies, and does not authorize conducting drilling operations until all other required permitting determinations are made. The blowout prevention equipment (BOPE) must be tested in accordance with 20 AAC 25.035; and the mechanical integrity (MI) of the injection wells must be demonstrated under 20 AAC 25.412 and 20 25.030(g)(3). Sufficient notice (approximately 24 hours) of the MI test before operation, and of the BOPE test performed before drilling below the surface casing shoe, must be given so that a representative of the Commission may witness the tests. Notice may be given by contacting the Commission petroleum field inspector on the North Slope pager at 659-3607. Maximum anticipated surface pressure is calculated using a surface casing leak-off of 13.5 ppg EMW and a gas gradient of 0.11 psi/fi. This shows that formation breakdown would occur before a surface pressure of 2,505 psi could be reached. Therefore, ARCO Alaska, Inc. will test the BOP equipment to 3000 psi. The nearest well to 1H-22 is 1H-19. As designed, the minimum distance between the two wells would be 29' @ 400' MD. The wells would diverge from that point. Incidental fluids developed from drilling operations will be hauled to the nearest permitted disposal well or will be pumped down the surface/production casing annulus of the last well drilled. That annulus will be left with a non-freezing fluid during any extended shut down (> 4hr) in pumping operations. The annulus will be sealed with 225 sx of cement followed by arctic pack upon completion of fluid pumping. *Spud mud should be adjusted to a FV between 55-75 sec/qt to drill gravel beds. Adjust FV to 45-55 sec/qt below gravel beds.
