~edne.sday, January 21, 1987: I talked with Ray Springer, ARCO
representative, concerning the surface plugs on wells 9 & 15. I
noticed while checking the P&A marker plates that no cement was
showing in the 2 7/8" x 7" annulus on these wells. He said he was
going to finish cutting off the tree on well ~1, and make sure that
the cement was in place on that well before ordering cement for the
other two wells.
Frid.ay, January 23~ 1987.. Mr.-Springer contacted me on Thursday
and informed me that' the cement was in place on well ~1, and he
would re-cement the annuli on wells 9 & 15.
I arrived on the location at 1:30 p.m. this date, and BJ Cementing
had jus~ finished cementing the annuli on wells 9 & 15.
I inspected the annuli on both wells, and the cement was in place
and not falling.
Ray gave me pictures of the marker plates on all the wells except
9, 15 and well #1. He will get the pictures of these wells to me
as soon as the work is complete.
In summary I observed the top cement plugs in wells 1, 9 & 15.
A t t achment
On 1/26/87 Ray sent me the pictures of the P&A marker plates on
wells 9 & 15, and One of the marker post on. well ~1. These
pictures are attached to this report.
The information on th~ marker pos% on well ~1 wins checked and found to be
correct by ~kt Sipple.
The pi~es of the marker plates on wells 5, 6, 7 & 12 are ~ good, but
all ~h~pla~ w~re checked by ~ before they w~re welded in plaoe.

ARCO Alaska, Inc., proposes to change the casing program that was previously approved on the permit to drill.
WSP-5 was originally planned with 9-5/8", 36#, J-55, ERW, BTC surface casing and 7", 23#, S-95, BTC production
casing. We now propose to eliminate the 9-5/8" surface casing and run one string of 7" 23#, S-95 & L-80;BTC.

ARCO Alaska, Inc., proposes to drill WSP-5 as a planned producer in the West Sak Pilot Project. This project
will be conducted in accordance with the terms of Conservation Order No. 191, "West Sak Sands Section 35
Project". A diverter system will be used to drill the 12-1/4" hole to 3300'MD (3257'TVD).
In all subsequent operations, an RSRA BOP stack will be used and tested to 3000 psi (annular 1800 psi).
WSP will be 35' away at total depth. WSP-4 will be 44' away at.2060'MD (2058'TVD). WSP-SI will be 180' away at
the surface. See attached proximity analysis. A fracture treatment will be made on the West Sak Sands. A
5.64" OD x 2-3/8" dual wire wrapped, pre-packed screen will be run in the 7"~~,,T~ w_ell will be completed
with 2-7/8' tubing.

WEST SAK PILOT #5 (WSP-5)
PROXIMITY ANALYSIS
WSP-5 & WSP-2
Since WSP-5 will be a replacement for WSP-2, it will be intentionally
drilled towards the WSP-2 bottomhole location. At surface, the two wells
will be 181' apart. By 3400'MD (3353'TVD), this distance will be 100'. The
bottomhole location of WSP-5 has been chosen such that at total depth,
3955'MD (3890'TVD), the two wells will be at least 35' apart. It should be
noted that these two wells will not cross.
The following precautions will be taken to ensure that the two wells do not
intersect:
1. WSP-5 will be intentionally led to the left of the proposed
wellpath to increase the distance between the two wells.
2. A measurement while drilling tool (directional drill collar) will
be used from kick-off to the 9-5/8" casing point. This will allow
surveys to be taken quickly and frequently. A smaller tool may
also be used in the 8-1/2" hole.
3. Controlled drilling techniques (monitoring rate of penetration)
will be used as conditions warrant.
4. WSP-2 will remain shut-in while WSP-5 is being drilled.
WSP-5 & WSP-4
WSP-5 will be drilled to within 44' of WSP-4 at 2060'MD (2058'TVD). These
wells will not cross and the same precautions will be taken with respect to
WSP-4 as with WSP-2.
If you have any further questions, you may call Kevin J. Grimes (263-4962)
or Jim Onisko (263-4943).
