After fighting water flow for several days and weighting up to a 15.7 ppg system they finally gave up prior to casing this 3rd hole. A 200 sx plug was laid in at 11,000' . A bridge plug was then set at 8100' to get above the window with a 50' cement cap on top of it It does have a wellhead with a master valve, swab valve, and wing valve. We will get a wellhead diagram and an updated schematic generated From: Schwartz, Guy L (DOA) [mailto:guv.schwartz@alaska.gov] Sent: Friday, May 3, 2019 11:06 AM To: Michael Quick <mquick@hilcorp.com> Cc: Regg, James B (DOA) <lim.regg@alaska.gov>; Dan Marlowe <dmarlowe@hilcorp.com> Subject: [EXTERNAL] Grantie Point ST 22-23 (PTD 173-024) P & A status Mike, I have been reviewing well files for old P & A wells in the inlet. This well happens to be on a platform should still be accessible. Well was abandoned in 1973 but there is very little data on it. There is no well sketch showing plug placement ... although records indicate that a kill string was run. Can you verify what current well configuration is ( wellhead? ) and if you have any kind of " as built" well sketch. Was this slot ever used for another sidetrack? Even though the well was officially P& A `d there is only a cement and BP at 8100 ft and so at platform decommission additional work could be done to bring this well closer to regulation plugging requirements.
