Post Office Box 196612 Anchorage, Alaska 99519 - 6612 h act , R aRt a.S Allefe"" oae December 20, 2010 Mr. Tom Maunder Alaska Oil and Gas Conservation Commission 201 1 333 West 7 Avenue Anchorage, Alaska 99501 1 I Li-7 Subject: Corrosion Inhibitor Treatments of GPB U Pad t U -- 0 3 Dear Mr. Maunder, Enclosed please find multiple copies of a spreadsheet with a list of wells from U Pad that were treated with corrosion inhibitor in the surface casing by conductor annulus. The corrosion inhibitor is engineered to prevent water from entering the annular space and causing external corrosion that could result in a surface casing leak to atmosphere. The attached spreadsheet represents the well name, API and PTD numbers, top of cement depth prior to filling and volumes of corrosion inhibitor used in each conductor. As per previous agreement with the AOGCC, this letter and spreadsheet serve as notification that the treatments took place and meet the requirements of form 10 -404, Report of Sundry Operations. If you require any additional information, please contact me or my alternate, Jerry Murphy, at 659 -5102. Sincerely, Torin Roschinger BPXA, Well Integrity Coordinator BP Exploration (Alaska) Inc. An acceptable window for TOC is anywhere between 9,387'- 9390' M D. Well History The most recent iprof in February 1998 indicates that 80% of injection going into the lowest set of perforations which is at the bottom of Zone 4. U-03 has been the pit water disposal well on U pad and is most likely thermally frac'd down into the Zone 3 aquifer. By setting a PosiSet plug in the well at 9383' MD injection will better support the Zone 4 producers in the area. U-03 had an ice plug in 2006 which was removed with coil 10/13/06. An ID restriction was gauged at 233'. This restriction was recently measured at 251' SLM at an ID of 2.35" on 11 /24/09. • • Contacts: Nancy Hibbert Production Engineer Off/Cell: 564-5672/360-3279 Josiah Igwe Wells Engineer Off/Cell: 564-4753 cc w/a: Well File PREPARATION AND SPECIAL TOOLS • Todd Sidoti with SWS can be contacted regarding plug and bailer details, 273- 1739, 632-4113. 2-3 weeks lead time will be required to mobilize personnel and equipment to the north slope for the job. • Ensure well is shut in and allowed to stabilize at least 3 days prior to job.
