Subject: Corrosion Inhibitor Treatments of GPB A -Pad
Dear Mr. Regg,
Enclosed please find multiple copies of a spreadsheet with a list of wells from GPB Pad
A that were treated with corrosion inhibitor in the surface casing by conductor annulus.
The corrosion inhibitor is engineered to prevent water from entering the annular space
and causing external corrosion that could result in a surface casing leak to atmosphere.
The attached spreadsheet represents the well name, API and PTD numbers, top of
cement depth prior to filling and volumes of corrosion inhibitor used in each conductor.
As per previous agreement with the AOGCC, this letter and spreadsheet serve as
notification that the treatments took place and meet the requirements of form 10 -404,
Report of Sundry Operations.
If you require any additional information, please contact me or my alternate, Gerald
Murphy, at 659 -5102.
Sincerely,
q 1 M --CL-(7)-

Hl Jim, looks like I had my head in outer space or somewhere darker for
these tests.
M-30 was combo MIT against IBP in tbg. I used the tubing pressure for IA
& Tbg. The IA pressure began @ 2990 - 2950 after 15 minutes & 2930 after
30 minutes. I just put TBG pressures in wrong place for the test.
BOP test Doyon 14. The HCR had to be serviced to pass pressure test. The
Misc. BOp.s was grease zert leaking to atmosphere during hi pressure
test.
I will add your note on M-26A to my PI manual. The grease crew was
following us around to service valves wi slight leaks. I requested the
BP Operator to have valve serviced & retested that afternoon. The
Contract SVS test Rep. was going to be on the Slope in 48 hours, I
requested that all failures I witnessed during these Misc tests be
retested by Contract SVS tester when he arrived on Slope. This will
allow us to verify grease crews test & to retest after 48 hours of
production. In the future I will have wells shut in that have all these
compromised barriers.
A-21 MIT seemed to pass CMIT. I requested a pressure test of the IA
before the CMIT was performed. The IA pressure test proved the leak to
the OA @ approx. 700 psi in 15 minutes. I reported the PT. The well had
been shut in about 3 hours before MIT was performed due to well control
situation on the Rig drilling on A Pad. I don't know what the injection
pressure was on A-21 before shutting in the well. The TBG. pressure was
0 psi. during the test, I requested a FL check before & after MIT. With
0 psi TBG & a steady FL drop it seemed there was no communication to TBG
during PT. & bbls were pumped for PT. The IA showed it was stabilizing.
With the proven leak to the OA & no communication to OOA or TBG. I
interpreted the test as a pass of a CMIT.
Jim, I will talk to BOB F. & revise the tests for M-30 & Doyon 14.
Sorry for the confusion.

Well A-21 has a low-rate leak in the 9 5/8" D. V. packer at 2594'. It is proposed
to re-enter the well and tie-back 7" 26# casing from the top of the liner (10,636')
to surface. The 7" liner will also be evaluated for a possible channel and squeezed
if necessary with Class G cement. The' Program is summarized as follows:
1) Ybve in rig. Nipple down tree; nipple up and test 5000# BOPE.
2) Pull 3 1/2" tubing. Recover production packer. Clean out to PBTD.
3) Run CBL to evaluate liner cement.
4) RIH with 9 5/8" RITS to verify D. V. leak. ·
5) Run 7" 26# tie-back string. Stab into liner tie-back sleeve. Ce~ant in tw~
stages with 150 cu'. ft.' Class G cement around tie-back sleeve and Arctic Pack
plUS 100 cu. ft Permafrost cemant through a 7"' D. V. at'2900'.
6) Clean out and test 7" tie-back to 3000 psig.
7) Based on CBL evaluation(Step #3), cement squeeze 7" liner to isolate OWC from
production interval. '
8) Complete well with 3 1/2" tubing with GI~4s and 7" production pack~
at ~- 10500'.

all types of lands and leases in Alaska.
Item 1' Classification of Service Wells: Gas injection, water injection, steam injection, air injection, salt
water disposal, water supply for injection, observation, injection for in-situ combustion.
Item 5 Indicate which elevation is used as reference (where not othei'wise shown) for depth measurements
given in other spaces on this form and in any attachments.
Item 16 and 24' If this well is completed for separate production from more than one interval (multiple
completion), so state in item 16, and in item 24 show the producing intervals for only the interval reported
in item 27. Submit a sep_arate form for each additional interval to be separately produced, showing the
data pertinent to such interval.
Item 21' Indicate whether from ground level (GL) or other elevation (DF, KB, etc.).

Witness BOPE Test on
Sohio's A-21
Sec. 35, TllN, R13E, UM
Permit #82-14
Wedne~a¥,Ma_rch~6 &__ !7, 1982 - When I arrived at this location
i' was 'informed bY ~-~rI&nd GOodwyn, Sohio dril ling foreman, that
the seals in the annular preventer were blown out and asked me
if we could test everything else while another preventer was
being moved to the location. I agreed to this.
After the annular preventer had been ~ installed, the rig
crew discovered that the element was bad. This was changed and
the test was completed.
The only failure was a valve in the choke manifold. This was
repaired and tested while I was on location.
In summary I witnessed the BOPE test on Sohio's A-21.

PROPOSED DRILL~ AND CEMPLETION PROGRAM
WRLT. A-21 (43-02-10-13)
Dry bucket 36" hole to 80' below ground level and cement 20" x 30" insulated
conductor to surface using 8 cu.yds, concrete.
Drill 17 1/2" hole vertically to 1800', then drill directionally to
2725'MD. Run 13 3/8" 72# L-80 Buttress casing to 2725' and cement with
3720 cu. ft. Permafrost II cement.
Blowout prevention equipment consists of 5000 psi W.P. pipe rams, blind
rams, and annular preventer from 13 3/8" casing point to T.D. Maximum
possible bottomhole, pressure is 4390 psi at 8800' TVDss based on original
reservoir pressure. M~qximum possible surface pressure is 3330 psi based on
a gas column to surface from 8600' TVDss and an oil column to 8800' TVDss.
Directionally drill 12 1/4" hole to 8744' TVD. Run 9 5/8" 47# L-80 But-
tress casing to 8740' TVD and cement first stage with 1565 cu. ft. Class G
cement. Cement second stage through D.V. packer collar at 2600' with
130 cu. ft. Permafrost C cement. 9 5/8" casing will be hung at surface;
the 9 5/8" x 13 3/8" annulus will be Arctic Packed.
Drill 8 1/2" hole to T.D. at 9641' TVD. Cement 7" liner to 500' inside
9 5/8" casing shoe with 415 cu. ft. Class G cement with 18% salt.
RUn 3 1/2" EUE A/B mod. 8rd IPC tubing with gas lift mandrels and a
production packer assembly at 8347' TVD. A subsurface safety valve with
dual control lines will be placed at 2150'MD. Displace tubing to diesel.
Install and test Xmas tree.
Suspend well for perforating subsequent to rig release. Details of
proposed perforations to be submitted on Sundry Notice to follow.
