The corrosion inhibitor is engineered to prevent water from entering the annular space and causing external corrosion that could result in a surface casing leak to atmosphere. The attached spreadsheet represents the well name, API and PTD numbers, top of cement depth prior to filling and volumes of corrosion inhibitor used in each conductor. As per previous agreement with the AOGCC, this letter and spreadsheet serve as notification that the treatments took place and meet the requirements of form 10 -404, Report of Sundry Operations. If you require any additional information, please contact me or my alternate, Gerald Murphy, at 659 -5102. M-30 was combo MIT against IBP in tbg. I used the tubing pressure for IA & Tbg. The IA pressure began @ 2990 - 2950 after 15 minutes & 2930 after 30 minutes. I just put TBG pressures in wrong place for the test. BOP test Doyon 14. The HCR had to be serviced to pass pressure test. The Misc. BOp.s was grease zert leaking to atmosphere during hi pressure test. I will add your note on M-26A to my PI manual. The grease crew was following us around to service valves wi slight leaks. I requested the BP Operator to have valve serviced & retested that afternoon. The Contract SVS test Rep. was going to be on the Slope in 48 hours, I requested that all failures I witnessed during these Misc tests be retested by Contract SVS tester when he arrived on Slope. This will allow us to verify grease crews test & to retest after 48 hours of production. In the future I will have wells shut in that have all these compromised barriers. A-21 MIT seemed to pass CMIT. I requested a pressure test of the IA before the CMIT was performed. The IA pressure test proved the leak to the OA @ approx. 700 psi in 15 minutes. I reported the PT. The well had been shut in about 3 hours before MIT was performed due to well control situation on the Rig drilling on A Pad. I don't know what the injection pressure was on A-21 before shutting in the well. The TBG. pressure was 0 psi. during the test, I requested a FL check before & after MIT. With 0 psi TBG & a steady FL drop it seemed there was no communication to TBG during PT. & bbls were pumped for PT. The IA showed it was stabilizing. With the proven leak to the OA & no communication to OOA or TBG. I interpreted the test as a pass of a CMIT. Jim, I will talk to BOB F. & revise the tests for M-30 & Doyon 14. I agreed to this. After the annular preventer had been ~ installed, the rig crew discovered that the element was bad. This was changed and the test was completed. The only failure was a valve in the choke manifold. This was repaired and tested while I was on location. In summary I witnessed the BOPE test on Sohio's A-21.
