Test's Details
I traveled to BPXs GC 1 in the Prudhoe Bay Field and witnessed the routine 4 year MIT on well GC-IE. The pretest
tubing and casing pressures were observed and found to be stable. The pressure test was then perfonned with the well
demonstrating good mechanical integrity.

Nippled down tree. Nippled up & tested BOP's to 5000 psi.
Attempted to recover 7" tubing and latch.
RIH w/5-1/4" swedge to 2444'.
Cut 5-1/2" tubing pup at 2533'.
Pulled 7" tubing.
RIH w/RTTS and set at 2424'. Pressure tested - ok.
Recovered fish & latch assembly at 2539'. Milled on junk in the. tailpipe and
pushed down to bottom. Tested liner lap to 2000 psi - ok.
RIH with 7".TIW SBR and 7" tubing.
Set 2-Way check valve.
ND BOP's. NU and tested existing 6"- 5M tree to 5000 pSi. Pulled 2-way check
valve.
Set plug in tailpipe. Set 9-5/8" packer. Tested tubing X casing annulus to 2000
psi.
Opened sliding sleeve. Displaced down the annulus with 64 bbls diesel. Closed
sliding sleeve.
Tested annulus to 2000 psi. Displaced 2000' of tubing w/75 bbls diesel.
Set BPV. Released rig @ 0600 hrs 9-18-89.

Recovered fish and latch assembly at 2539'. Milled on junk in the tailpipe and pushed
down to bottom. Tested liner lap to 2000 psi. - OK. RIH with 7" TIW SBR and 7" robing.
Spaced out completion. ND'BOP's and NU tree. RIH with X plug and set in tailpipe.
Pressure tested tubing and annulus to 2000 psi. - OK. Freeze protected the annulus and

developed' a hole in the tubing, and our first intention is to
repair the well by pulling the 7" tubing and testing the 9-5/8"
casing. However, if the 9-5/8" casing does not test the well
will be abandoned.

MIRU workover rig. Pull BPV.
Circulate well and set 2 way check valve
Nipple down tree. Nipple up & test BOP's to 5000 psi.
Recover 7" tubing and latch.
RIH with 9-5/8" test packer test casing to 2000 psi.
Mill & recover 9-5/8" TIW packer and tailpipe assembly.
RIH with 7" test packer. Test casing and lap to 2000 psi.
Spear 13-3/8" casing and pull in tension. Perform second top job.
Hold in tension while WOC.
RIH with 7" test packer. Test casing and lap to 2000 psi.
Run borax PNL log.
RIH with 6" bit and clean out to 6,455'.
RIH with 9-5/8" casing scraper to 2579' and change well over to inhibited
seawater.
Make 8.5" gauge ring/junk basket run to 2579'
Run 7" tubing with 5-1/2" tailpipe.
Set 2-way check valve.
ND BOP's. NU and test existing 6" - 5M tree to 5000 psi. Pull 2-way check
valve.
Set plug in tailpipe. Set 9-5/8" packer. Test tubing X casing annulus to 2000
psi.
Open sliding sleeve. Displace the tubing with diesel (tubing volume + 51 bbls.).
Close sliding sleeve.
Test annulus to 2000 psi and have testing witnessed by the AAOGC.
Set BPV. Release rig.

Install and cement 80' of 20" conductor to surface.
Install 20"Diverter.
The Drilling fluid program will consist of an 8.5 - 9.5 ppg spud mud in the 12-
1/4" hole, and a 9.0 - 9.5 ppg water base mud in the 8-1/2" hole.
Drill 12-1/4" hole to 2700' and cement 9-5/8" NTSOS NSCC casing to surface.
Install blowout prevention equipment consisting of 5000 psi W.P. pipe rams,
blind rams, and annular preventer. Maximum possible bottomhole pressure is
2600 psi based on salt water pressure gradient to 5600' TVDSS.
Directionally drill 8-1/2" hole to the 7" liner point (TD), 100' below the top of
the West Sak. Run 7" 26# L-80 IJ4S liner, with external casing packer placed
across a shale above the proposed top perforation, from the 8-1/2" hole TD to
250' inside the 9-5/8" casing shoe and cement using Class G cement. Inflate the
external casing packer with cement.
Clean out to 7" liner to PBTD. Change ovcr to 9.6 ppg. NaCL completion fluid.
Test casing and lap to 3000 psi.
Run 9-5/8" production packer on 7" tubing with a sliding sleeve. Set packer
50' above top of liner. A subsurface safety valve with dual control lines will be
placed 100' below base of permafrost. Install and test Xmas tree. Displace
tubing to diesel. Set and test packer.
Shut down rig operations for perforating subsequent 'to rig release. The well
will be perforated in accordance with normal practices.
