Dear Mr. McCarty:
Enclosed is the approved application for permit to redrill the above referenced well.
The permit to redrill does not exempt you from obtaining additional permits required by law
from other governmental agencies, and does not authorize conducting drilling operations until all
other required permitting determinations are made.
Blowout prevention equipment (BOPE) must be tested in accordance with 20 AAC 25 035.
Sufficient notice (approximately 24 hours) must be given to allow a representative of the
Commission to witness a test of BOPE installed prior to drilling new hole. Notice may be given
by contacting the Commission petroleum field inspector on the North Slope pager at 659-3607.

BP Alaska Drilling & Wells
F-03A Sidetrack
Summary of Operations:
F-03 has been shut in due to high GOR since late 1996. The sidetrack, F-03A, will exit the 7" liner in the
existing peris off of a cement ramp and target the Ivishak Zone 2 with a clean and optimized completion.
Existing peris will be squeezed by pumping ±10 bbls cement below and through a sliding sleeve. It will be
completed with a solid cemented and perforated 3 3/16"x 2 7/8" liner.
a e 1: Drift, set whipstock on E-Line & squeeze with service coil. Planned for I~r 27-28, 2001.
Tubing and liner drifted (12/00).
Gas lift mandrels dummied off.
Kinley caliper through tubing and liner. (12/00)
Master valve, wing valve and tree successfully tested to 5000psi.
~'~ / ~ Wellhead seals tested for integrity.
~ i Tubing integrityverified.
Service coil will squeeze ±10 bbls cement below and through sliding sleeve to shut off all existing
peris.
Service coil will mill window if time permits.
Phase 2: Mill window, Drill and Complete sidetrack: Planned for Mar. 15, 2001.
Drilling coil will be used to drill and complete the directional hole as per attached planR ECE J~'E~)
Mud Program:
· Phase 1: Seawater M,~J~ 0 ? ,2001
· Phase 2: Fie-Pro (8.6 - 8.7 ppg)
Alaska 0il & Gas Cons. Commission
Disposal: Anchorage
· All drilling and completion fluids and all other Class II wastes will go to Grind & Inject.
· All Class I wastes will go to Pad 3 for disposal.
Casing Program: ~ ~ $ (~r~ t · Top of 3 3/16" x 2 7/8" liner to be ±9,650 MD (-,-7,810' TVDSS), 2 7/8" will be run from TD to
approximately 11,160' MD (±8,973'TVDSS).
· The tapered liner will be cemented with approximately 20bbls of 15.8ppg cement.
Well
Control:
BOP diagram is attached.
Pipe rams, blind rams and the CT pack off will be pressure tested to 400 psi and to 3500 psi.
The annular preventer will be tested to 400 psi and 2000 psi.
Directional
· See attached directional plan. BHL (State Plane): 651,960; 5,973,727. Max. hole angle is 95deg.
· Magnetic and inclination surveys will be taken every 30 ft. No gyro will be run.
Logging · An MWD Gamma Ray log will be run over all of the open hole section.
· A memory CNL will be run in cased hole.
Hazards
No recent H2S samples on F-03, F-Pad is not considered to be a high H2S risk area.
Lost circulation risk is Iow with the possibility for crossing small faults along the wellbore prior to
entering the polygon.
The polygon is considered a hard line due to offset faults outside the planned polygon.
Reservoir Pressure
Res. press, is estimated to be 3200 psi at 8,800'TVDss, 7.0ppg EMW. Maximum surface pressure with

F-03A Revidsed Completion
Subject: F-03A Revidsed Completion
Date: Tue, 13 Mar 2001 16:18:33 -0600
From: "McCarty, Thomas M" <McCartTM@bp.com>
To: "Tom Maunder (E-mail)" <Tom_maunder@admin.state.ak.us>
Tom:
As we have discussed: F-03a will be completed with 2-7/8" liner instead of
the originally proposed 3-3/16" x 2-7/8" tapered string. In this case, this
solution seems to be the best compromise.
Tom, feel free to give me a call if you need any other info .... if you
cannnot reach me at my desk feel free to try my cell at 240-8065.
