Brief Well Summary:
C-23D is a coil sidetrack drilled in 2013 targeting the oil column in Z2 just above the MHO. Over it’s lifetime the
well has gone through 4 stages of plug and perfs. In May of this year all perforations were opened to flow and
showed minimal recharge. The well is currently SI for HGOR. This intervention will set a plug shutting off all
current perforation open to flow and target accessing sands towards the heel of the well in between what is
believed to be MHOand the vertical section of the well. Due to the proximity to the MHO premium charges are
being selected.
Objective:
Set CIBP & Perforate 220’ of Z2A.
Procedure:
Slickline
1. Pull dream catcher, if contains any contents send pictures to Finn Oestgaard
Coiled Tubing –Drift/Tie-In & Plugset
1. MU Tie-In/Drift BHA (configuration per WSL discretion), RIH and flag for plug set (target set depth
10,875’) Contact Finn Oestgaard & Corey Ramstad for tie-in correlation.
2. Set CIBPmid element @ 10,875’
Setting in 3-1/4” Liner 6.6#, ID = 2.85” (will need to pass through 3-1/2” Xnipple @ 9,527’ w/ ID=2.812”)
Coil –Extended Perforating
Notes:
x Remote gas monitoring for H2S and LELs are required for Open Hole Deployment Operations
x Due to the necessary open hole deployment of Extended Perforating jobs, 24-hour crew and WSS
coverage is required.
The well will be killed and monitored before making up the initial perf guns. This is generally done during the
drift/logging run. This will provide guidance as to whether the well will be killed by bullheading or circulating
bottoms up throughout the job. If pressure is seen immediately after perforating, it will either be killed by
bullheading while POOH or circulating bottoms up through the same port that opened to shear the firing head.
CCT Extended Adperf
Well:C-23D
1. After MU MHA and pull testing the CTC, tag-up on the CT stripper to ensure BHA cannot pull through
the brass upon POOH with guns.
2. Bullhead 1.2x wellbore volume ~186 bbls 1% KCL/SW down tubing. Max tubing pressure 2500 psi.
(This step can be performed any time prior to open-hole deployment of the perf guns. Timing of the
well kill is at the discretion of the WSS.)
a.Wellbore volume to top perf (10,950’)=155 bbls
b. 4-1/2” Tubing – 9,367’ X .0152 bpf = 142 bbl
c. 3-1/2” Liner – 54’ X 0.0087 bpf = 1 bbls
d. 3-1/4” Liner – 843’ X 0.0079 bpf = 12 bbls
3. At surface, prepare for deployment of TCP guns.
4. Confirm well is dead. Bleed any pressure off to return tank. Kill well w/ KKWF, 8.4 ppg 1% KCl or 8.5
ppg as needed. Maintain hole fill taking returns to tank until lubricator connection is re-established.
Fluids man-watch must be performed while deploying perf guns to ensure the well remains killed and
there is no excess flow.
5.*Perform drill by picking up safety joint with TIW valve and space out before MU guns. Review well
control steps with crew prior to breaking lubricator connection and commencing makeup of TCP gun
string. Once the safety joint and TIW valve have been spaced out, keep the safety joint/TIW valve readily
accessible near the working platform for quick deployment if necessary.
e.At the beginning of each job, the crossover/safety joint must be physically MU to the perf guns
one time to confirm the threads are compatible.
6.Break lubricator connection at QTS and begin makeup of TCP guns per schedule below. Constantly
monitor fluid rates pumped in and fluid returns out of the well. Fluids man-watch must be performed
while deploying perf guns to ensure the well remains killed and there is no excess flow.

7. RIH with perf gun and lightly tag CIBP for depth control. Pickup and perforate interval per Perf Schedule
above.
a. Note any tubing pressure change in WSR.
8. After perforating, PUH to top of liner or into tubing to ensure debris doesn’t fall in on the guns and stick
the BHA. Confirm well is dead and re-kill if necessary before pulling to surface.
9. Pump pipe displacement while POOH. Stop at surface to reconfirm well is dead. Kill well if necessary.
10. Review well control steps and Standing Orders with crew prior to breaking lubricator connection and
commencing breakdown of TCP gun string.
11. Ensure safety joint and TIW valve assembly are on-hand before breaking off lubricator to LD gun BHA.
12. RDMO CTU.

Brief Well Summary:
A 2013 natural flow sidetrack into Z2A, C-23D has 301’ of open toe perfs and flowed full time until mid 2020
when GOR became uneconomic. The well was recently cycled but did not cycle well and is ready for next stage
of perfs. The goal of this program is to move to next stage of perforations to return well to economic GOR.
Objective: Utilize CTU to isolate existing perforations then surface deploy TCP guns with CTU to add new perfs
and improve fluid rates.
Sundry Procedure (Approval Required to Proceed):
Note: The well will be killed and monitored before making up the initial perfs guns. This is generally done during
the drift/logging or plug set run. This will provide guidance as to whether the well will be killed by bullheading
or circulating bottoms up throughout the job. If pressure is seen immediately after perforating, it will either be
killed by bullheading while POOH or circulating bottoms up through the same port that opened to shear the
firing head.
Coil Tubing
1. MIRU Coiled Tubing Unit and spot ancillary equipment.
2. MU GR/CCL and drift for 3-1/4” CIBP.
3. RIH below target CIBP set depth of ±12,670’ MD
4. Log up, stopping to paint flag.
5. POOH and confirm good data, obtain correction.
6. Bullhead ~220 bbls of 8.4 ppg 1% KCl or 8.5 ppg seawater down the tubing to the formation.
a. Wellbore volume = 9400’ X .0152bpf + .0079bpf x 3400’ = 170 bbls
7. Confirm well is dead. Freeze protect tubing as needed.
8. MU 3-1/4” CIBP. and RIH and correct to flag.
9. Contact OE Wyatt Rivard 1(509) 670-800 or Noel Nocas at 1(907) 947-9533 prior to setting
plug/perforating for final approval of tie-ins
10. Set plug mid-joint at ±12,670’ MD and test to 1500 psi. POOH.

11. At surface, prepare for deployment of TCP guns. Assure excess fluids available if needed to keep hole
full.
12. Confirm well is dead. Bleed any pressure off to returns tank. Kill well w/ 8.4 ppg 1% KCl or 8.5 ppg
seawater as needed. Maintain continuous hole fill taking returns to tank until lubricator connection is
reestablished.
13. Pickup safety joint and TIW valve and space out before MU guns. Review well control steps with crew
prior to breaking lubricator connection and commencing makeup of TCP gun string. Once the safety
joint and TIW valve have been spaced out, keep the safety joint/TIW valve readily accessible near the
working platform for quick deployment if necessary.
14. Break lubricator connection at QTS and begin makeup of TCP guns per Table 1: C-23D Proposed Ad-Perf

prior to perforating for final approval of tie ins.
16. Pickup and perforate intervals per Table 1: C-23D Proposed Ad-Perf Gun Run. POOH.
a. Note any tubing pressure change in WSR.
17. POOH. Stop at surface to reconfirm well dead and hole full.
18. Review well control steps with crew prior to breaking lubricator connection and commencing breakdown
