RE: Sundry Notices for 2Z-WS Cf 1
Dear Mr. Chatterton'
As we discussed on the phone, ARCO Alaska, Inc. drilled the 2Z-WS # 1 in 1985
and completed testing operations in October, 1986. ARCO obtained verbal
approval to hold the well as an idle producer and the follow-up
documentation is attached. We apologize for any inconvenience caused by
the delay in filing the appropriate forms. The oversight was only recently
discovered.
Please contact me if you have any questions.
Very truly yours,
H.~. White ~/~/~

water disposal, water supply for injection, observation, injection for in-situ combustion.
Item 5: Indicate which elevation is used as reference (where not otherwise shown) for depth measurements
given in other spaces on this form and in any attachments.
Item 16 and 24: If this well is completed for separate production from more than one interval (multiple
completion), so state in item 16, and in item 24 show the producing intervals for only the interval reported
in item 27. Submit a separate form for each additional interval to be separately produced, showing the
data pertinent to such interval.

2Z-WS-1 Well Test
ARCO Alaska, Inc. (ARCO) with British Petroleum Alaska Exploration (BPAE)
and Standard Alaska Production Company (SAPC) intend to continue West Sak
data gathering in the Kuparuk River Unit (KRU) by testing West Sak intervals
in the KRU 2Z-WS-1 wellbore. Testing will commence approximately in early
June and will continue until the middle of August. ARCO, as operator of the
2Z-WS-1 test, is requesting permission from the AOGCC to allow venting of all
produced gas. Three zones are scheduled for testing with approximately five
days of production per zone. Maximum expected gas rates should be about
20 MCF per day with gas-oil ratios of 150-200 scf/bbl.
2Z-WS-1 is an extensive data gathering effort to measure productivity of the
West Sak in an upstructure location from the West Sak Pilot. The West Sak
delineation effort in the KRU has indicated that lower oil gravities and higher
oil viscosities are prevalent in upstructure locations. However, fluid data is
limited and usually gathered by commingling upper and lower West Sak
intervals. The testing procedure on 2Z-WS-1 has been designed to separately
test Zones A, B and D (Figure 1) by perforating, producing, running
pressure buildups and then isolating each intervals.
ARCO is currently gathering the necessary facilities on the 2Z pad for the
2Z-WS-1 test and requests a ruling from the AOGCC on venting gas
production by the first of June. Please contact Tim Raburn, ARCO Alaska,
Inc., P. O. Box 100360, Anchorage, Alaska 99510-0360, or call 265-6818.

ARCO Alaska, Inc., proposes to drill a V/est Sak Test well to approximately 3500' MD (3500' TVD). Selected
intervals will be logged. A 20", 2000 psi annular diverter will be installed on the 16" conductor while
drilling the 12-1/4" hole. Expected maximum surface pressure is 1132 psi. Pressure calculations are based on
virgin reservoir pressure. Surface pressure is calculated with an unexpanded gas bubble at surface, including
temperature effects. Casing will be tested to 1500 psi prior to releasing the drilling rig. There are no closer
wellbores anywhere downhole. Cased hole DSTs will be performed in the West Sak Interval. The well will be
temporari~y_~nd~d upon completion of flow tests.
23. I hereby cer~y that the foregoing is true and correct to the best of my knowledge
