He wanted to use the fluid flow rate method [20 AAC 25.265(/)(1)]. 1 inspected their rig up and it looked fine. The pressure gauges and low -flow meter calibrations were current. The corrosion inhibitor is engineered to prevent water from entering the annular space and causing external corrosion that could result in a surface casing leak to atmosphere. The attached spreadsheet represents the well name, API and PTD numbers, top of cement depth prior to filling and volumes of corrosion inhibitor used in each conductor. As per previous agreement with the AOGCC, this letter and spreadsheet serve as notification that the treatments took place and meet the requirements of form 10 -404, Report of Sundry Operations. Supervisor FROM: Doug Amos, b~ ~r~- SUBJECT: Petroleum Inspector DATE: October 19, 1993 FILE NO: airhjsad.doc BOPE Test Nabors 28E BPX PBU Y- 9 Prudhoe Oil Pool PTD No. 93-58 Monday OCtober. 18, 1993- I traveled to BPX PBU Y - 9 to witness the BOPE Test on Nabors Rig 28E. Well Y - 9 has a leaking packer and this was the initial test before performing the workover operations. When ! arrived on the Iocation/the drilling crew was in the final stages of installing the BOPE Stack. The test was delayed due to communication through the SSSV control lines. The tubing hanger was pulled and the control lines plugged. Tuesday October 19, 1993: After resetting the tubing hanger, the testing commenced at 1:00 am this date. As the attached AOGCC BOPE Test Form indicates there were no failures and test time was 1.5 hours. Summary: I witnessed the BOPE Test at BPX PBU Y - 9 well on Nabors Rig 28E, test time 1.5 Hours, No Failures, 29 Valves Tested. . Attachment AIRHJSAD.
