The coil sidetrack, 18-18b, will exit the 4 1/2" liner in the Ivishak Zone 1 B formation and target Zone 1 A/1 B. / An existing cast iron bridge plug is isolating all perfs below 12,249'. The sidetrack whipstock will be set at 12,100'. Existing perfs at and above the proposed whipstock depth are in Zone 1 and have not been fraced. These perfs are not expected to cause losses of drilling fluid while the 18-18b sidetrack is drilled. If these perfs (11510-11685; 11750-11915 and 11960-12145) do take drilling fluid then approx. 25 bbls of 15.8 ppg .,/ cement will be squeezed into these perfs to stop losses. If needed, this cementing work will be performed é7 Qod by service coil immediately after setting the whipstock as described in the 1 0-403 application~indow ~-_... milling will be done by drilling coil. One small fault will be crossed near the heel of the 18-18b sidetrack but lost circulation is not expected. DS18-18b will be completed with a partially cemented 3 3/16" x 27/8" liner that will cover all perfs above the /' window. The top of the cemented liner will be placed at approx.iO,500' MD (8554ss). Phase 1: Prep work. Planned for between July 15 to August 1, 2002. ,. 1. Service coil to kill the well with 8.6 ppg Flo-Pro prior to setting a mechanical whipstock at 12,100' ~ MD (8633ss). / 2. If drillng fluid is lost to existing perfs under circulating conditions then 25 bbls of 15.8 ppg cement will be squeezed past the whipst;ock to shut off losses to the perfs. Phase 2: Mill window, Drill and Complete sidetrack: Planned for August 10, 2002. Drilling coil will be used to mill the window then drill and complete the directional hole as per attached plan. Maximum hole angle will be 95 degrees. Mud Program: I . Phase 1 &2: Seawater and 8.6 ppg Flo-Pro . Phase 3: Mill and drill with Flo-Pro (8.6 - 8.7 ppg) Disposal: . All drilling and completion fluids and all other Class II wastes will go to Grind & Inject. . All Class I wastes will go to Pad 3 for disposal. Casing Program: The production liner will be a 33/16" TC II x 27/8" ST-L solid and pre-drilled liner from TD to approx. 10,500' MD (8554ss). The X-O between 33/16" x 2 7/8,/WiII be at 12,200' MD (8630'ss). The cementing ,,/ port for the Banzai completion will be at approx. 13,000' MD (8650ss). Liner cement will be a minimum of 16 bbls of 15.8 ppg latex cement. Well Control: . BOP diagram is attached. . Pipe rams, blind rams and the CT pack off will be pressure tested to 400 psi and to 3500 psi. /' . The annular preventer will be tested to 400 psi and 2500 psi. Directional . See attached directional plan. Max. planned hole angle is 95 deg. . Magnetic and inclination surveys will be taken every 30 ft. No gyro will be run. Logging . An MWD Gamma Ray will be run over all of the open hole section. Memory CNL will be run inside the liner. ( Hazards . DS 18 has no production with H2S in excess of 100 ppm. The closest wells to 18-18 have measured H2S readings of 16 ppm and 10 ppm. / If Kavik is penetrated while drilling 21 A then a plug back may be required. . Reservoir Pressure Res. press. is estimated to be 3378 psi at 8675'ss (7.5 ppg emw). Max. surface pressure with gas (0.12 psi/ft) to surface is 2337 psi.
