BP Exploration (Alaska) Inc. • Attn: Well Integrity Coordinator, PRB-20 ,-; Post Office Box 196612 Anchorage, Alaska 99519-6612 July 6, 2011 - k.mit - ts) Jut s Mr. Tom Maunder Alaska Oil and Gas Conservation Commission 1 q- g 333 West 7 Avenue Anchorage, Alaska 99501 9-4 Subject: Corrosion Inhibitor Treatments of GPMA Niakuk Dear Mr. Maunder, Enclosed please find multiple copies of a spreadsheet with a list of wells from GPMA Niakuk that were treated with corrosion inhibitor in the surface casing by conductor annulus. The corrosion inhibitor is engineered to prevent water from entering the annular space and causing external corrosion that could result in a surface casing leak to atmosphere. The attached spreadsheet represents the well name, API and PTD numbers, top of cement depth prior to filling and volumes of corrosion inhibitor used in each conductor. As per previous agreement with the AOGCC, this letter and spreadsheet serve as notification that the treatments took place and meet the requirements of form 10-404, Report of Sundry Operations. If you require any additional information, please contact me or my alternate, Mehreen Vazir, at 659-5102. Sincerely, Gerald Murphy BPXA, Well Integrity Coordinator • • BP Exploration (Alaska) Inc. Logs and tapes were sent to you for each of these wells in the past year. R~cently Anadrill has improved the density algorithm and re- created all of'our LWD CDN data using the new algorithm. This processing decreases the density a couple of porosity units, making the readings more accurate. Please replace the first set of tapes and the first set of CDN logs we sent you so that these improved logs are used for your analyses. The NK-21 blueline and sepia you received in December were the re-processed version and, therefore, do not need to be replaced. Per 20.AAC 25.537(d) BP Exploration requests that these logs held confidential for 24 months. Please contact me at 564-4531 if you have any questions.
