A composite bridge plug will be set in the production liner, the backside of the tubing below the production packer will be circulated with a 16.5 ppg mud. Cement will be circulated up into the annulus above the packer. The cement interface between the cement and the mud and composite plug will be contaminated with biozan and milled up when the cement develops 500 psi compressive strength (~3-5 hours, cement samples from lab will be used for time determination). A MIT-IA will be performed to determine the success of the squeeze. Page 1 of 13 r Well History JX-02A was drilled in 1995 into Southwestern GDWFI area of J-pad as the first horizontal well in the field. While completing the well the 2-3/4" perf guns became stuck across the perforated interval and were not removed. The well produced with minimal downtime until 2003 when it was shut-in for TxIA communication. The tubing was callipered and found to be in poor condition, similarly to offset GDWFI wells with L-80 tubing. A RWO replaced the 4-1/2" L-80 tubing with 13-Cr in 2003 to ensure that the offtake point was protected from future integrity lapses. On December 13, 2009 JX-02A failed a TIFL, GLV's #3 was pulled and a new valve installed, a TIFL was repeated on 12/18/09 and failed. Slickline then pulled all valves and replaced them with dummies, aMIT-IA was performed on 12/25/09 with a LLR of 4.0 bpm. An XXN plug was set at 9018' MD, and aCMIT-TxIA failed to 3000 psi. The XXN plug was pulled and cat standing valve set at 8986' SLM and a subsequent MIT-IA failed to 3000 psi. The cat standing valve was pulled and a PX plug was set at 8920' MD and again aMIT-IA failed. On 12/30/09 a plug was set at 8989' SLM and aMIT-T passed to 3000 psi. The tree was tested to 3000 psi, passing, verifying the leak was not thru the tree. Slickline ran a memory LDL and found the source of the failed MIT-IA to be thru the production packer. The well is currently secured with a 4-1 /2" WRP at 9154' SLM and was proven by a passing CMIT-TxIA to 3000 psi. cc: Well File Page 2 of 13 JX-02A Packer Repair Cement Volume in Annulus (9030' - 8881') x 0.054 bbl/ft =8.1 bbls Total Cement to Pump 8.0 bbls 8850' - GLM #1 8881' -Top of Cement in Annulus 8931' -Baker S-3 Packer 9265' - 9-5/8" Casing 9315' -Composite Bridge Plug 9007' -Top of 7" Liner 9092' -Top of 4-1 /2" liner Page 3 of 13 JX-02A Packer Repair Slickline 1. Rig up pumping equipment to the tubing to load and circulate the following fluids into the well by pumping down the tubing and taking returns from the inner annulus to ensure the leak rate can be established and the wellbore is fluid packed with all the gas removed prior to the upcoming cement packer repair. Do not attempt to load the inner annulus by pumping directly down the IA. It is critical that all gas is removed from both the tubing and IA prior to pumping cement. Once 5.7 bbls of 16.5 m has been placed in the wellbore, ose in the coil tubing-by- tubing annulus and perform aCMIT-TxIA to 1500 psi to verify that the composite plug is holding prior to the cement packer repair. If the pressure test fails establish a liquid leak rate (LLR). Do not proceed with the repair until a passing CMIT-TxIA is achieved. 9. After a successful CMIT-TxIA, open up the coil tubing-by-tubing annulus and pump 150 ~ bbls of 140°F KCI water down the coil tubing taking returns to surface to allow for wellbore cooling. 10. After pumping 150 bbls of 140°F KCI water down the coil tubing shut in the coil tubing- by-tubing annulus and open up the IA and pump 50 bbls of 140°F KCI water into the IA to ensure infectivity through the packer can be established. ~I freeze protect to 3047' (163 bbls) Seawater/1% KCI (137 ester/1 % KCI (320 bbls) GLM #1 Baker S-3 Packer 9-5/6" Casing 9315' -Composite Bndc Top of T' Liner lop of 4-1l7' Ilner 11.Open the coil tubing-by-tubing annulus to take returns to surface. Batch mix 8.0 pumpable barrels of 15.8 ppg unislurry cement which will have a thickening time of 2-3 hours, give 500 psi compressive strength in 4 - 5 hours, and 2,000 psi ultimate compressive strength. The bottom hole circulating temperature at cement depth should be ~ 160 °F. - Ensure that there is no gas in the tubing or IA. Do not proceed with the repair unless the tubing and IA are ful-y liquid packed. - Take two sample bottles of the cement actually mixed onsite. Place these in a water bath at 180 °F. Monitor to see when they start to set up. Page 6 of 13 Line out the cementers to th~coil. Pump the following fluids domain the coil (see steps 12 - 15for complete pumping details): - 5 bbls spacer water - 8.0 bbls Unislurry cement - Coil Tubing volume of water - 20 bbls of biozan 12. With the coil tubing-by-tubing annulus open and the IA closed, pump 5 bbls of spacer water out the coil while parked at 9,030', taking returns out the coil tubing-by-tubing annulus. 13. Begin pumping cement while continuing to take returns up the coil tubing-by-tubing annulus and maintaining 100-200 psi back pressure on the tubing. Pump 1.5 bbls of cement out the nozzle 0125' of cement above the nozzle assuming cement bottom will be at the top of the 16.5 ppg mud at 9,030') and lay in remaining cement while PUH (this will ensure that the cement is not diluted as the coil pulls up). Strap returns in the 40 bbl tank while pumping cement. Time nozzle to be at TOC just as the last of the cement is out the nozzle. SAFETY: If no cement is circulated up the IA, 8.0 bbls of cement will extend up the tubing to 8,504' MD (526' above the top of the 16.5 ppg fluid interface at 9,030' MD. If the cement "u-tube's" from the IA into the tubing the cement will equilibrate at 8,914' MD. 14. Park well above the worst case cement top, shut-in the coil tubing-by-tubing annulus and open up the IA. Continue pumping water spacer until 8 bbls of cement have been circulated into the IA. Strap returns in the 40 bbl tank. Shut in the inner annulus. 15. Pump the remaining coil tubing volume of water followed by 20 bbls of biozan to contaminate remaining cement in the tubing tail. Reciprocate coil across tubing tail while pumping biozan from 8,450' to 9,040' and keeping coil tubing-by-tubing annulus and IA pressure constant. Only bleed fluid from the coil tubing-by-tubing annulus to achieve constant pressure. Take coil tubing-by-tubing returns to a calibrated returns tank to confirm 1:1 returns. 16. Begin POOH pumping 50/50 methanol/water to freeze protect coil and 2500' of tubing (38 bbls) also replacing coil tubing volume to maintain a balanced wellbore. It is critical that the coil tubing-by-tubing annulus and the IA remain at constant pressure at cement depth while POOH. Based on fluid hydrostatics in the wellbore once the coil is out of the well, 100 psi will need to be applied to the IA to keep the IA and tubing pressure constant at the packer to avoid cement "u-tubing". NOTE: Based on hydrostatics at the top of the packer (8931' MD/8379' TVD) the IA will have a pressure of 3,515 psi and the tubing will have a pressure of 3,618 psi. Confirm that the cement samples are developing some compressive strength. Do not disturb the well (i.e. do not apply pressure, bleed off pressure, etc.) until these samples have started to set up. 19. Make up a motor with a flat bottom mill, RIH to 9,000' and perform a "mini" MIT-IA to a OP of 500 psi (i.e. IA pressure + 500 psi) by pumping diesel down the IA. - Wait until the cement reaches 500 psi compressive strength -based on the sample taken during the cementing job. 20.If "mini" MIT-IA passes, mill up cement remaining in tubing, liner, and the composite plug at 9,315' MD. - After cement in tubing has been milled through, RIH to composite plug at 9,315' while circulating 16.5 ppg mud out of the wellbore. ' - Note: Use vendor guidelines for milling the composite plug. 21. Mill composite plug and chase down to fish at 10,277' MD while continuing to mill on plug until minimal motor work is observed. The composite plug will likely drop down on the top of the fish. It is desirable to mill up the plug as much as possible even if it is Page 8 of 13 spinning. on the fish. If'~large portion of the plug is left in~ie well when it is put on production, the plug may rapidly move uphole. - Note: During the 1995 rig sidetrack, the 2-1/16" CS Hydril drill pipe parted leaving a 2,330' fishing in the well with 1,060' of 2-3/4" perf guns. Varying fishing operations recovered 1,351' of the fish ultimately leaving the top of fish at 10,277'. 22. If "mini" MIT-IA does not pass - do not mill up composite plug contact either Chris Stone or Matt Brown to discuss results prior to proceeding with milling. Rig up coil with motor and mill to mill up any cement in tubing and liner. Once cement has been milled up, circulate 16.5 ppg mud out of the wellbore down to the composite plug and POOH. - Note: Do not mill out the composite plug as it will be used during the LDL to determine the MIT-IA failure mechanism. 23. POOH. Ensure that tubing is freeze protected to 2,500' with diesel or methanol. 24. RDMO. Fullbore -Post Packer Squeeze (Pending "mini" MIT-IA passing) 25. After 3 days WOC, MIT-IA to 3000 psi. If the MIT-IA fails establish a leak rate. Well hoUses had fair amount of snow inside the houses due to the extended blow. Testing was conducted in as safe & efficient manner as conditionslwould allow. The AOGCC test report is attached for reference. SUMMARY: I witnessed SVS tests on PBU J Pad. 8 Wells, 16 components tested. No failures witnessed. __8 Well houses inspected.
