It is located south of the mid- field graben near the southern boundary of the gas-cap water injection zone Objective:Mill up the CIBP’s and install extended patch over the Sag river, restoring Ivishak production. Procedure: Slickline 1.RIH with memory caliper to deviation around 10,300ft and log to surface. Coiled Tubing 2. MU 3-3/4” milling BHA. RIH and tag Weatherford CIBP at 10,346ft. Mill up and push to next CIBP at 11,189ft. Continue milling if making progress, otherwise recover upper plug with burning shoe. Mill second CIBP and push past 11,780ft. 3. Run GR/CCL with ~2.25” JSN. Pull tie-in log from 9,850ft MD to 9,500ft. The extended patch will be set in the top of the production liner (9,750ft) continuing to the new tubing tail (9,600ft). 4. Set lower patch packer ~9,750ft. Coil – Extended Patch Notes: x Remote gas monitoring for H2S and LELs are required for Open Hole Deployment Operations x Due to the necessary open hole deployment of Extended Patch jobs, 24-hour crew and WSS coverage is required. The well will be killed and monitored before making up the extended patch. This is generally done during the drift/logging run. This will provide guidance as to whether the well will be killed by bullheading or circulating bottoms up throughout the job. If pressure is seen, it will either be killed by bullheading while POOH or circulating bottoms up. Milll Plug and Extended Patch 05-11A PTD: 196-097 5. After MU MHA and pull testing the CTC, tag-up on the CT stripper to ensure BHA cannot pull through the brass upon POOH with patch running tool. 6. Bullhead 1.5X wellbore volume - 270 bbls 1% KCL/SW down tubing. Max tubing pressure 2500 psi. (This step can be performed any time prior to open-hole deployment of the patch. Timing of the well kill is at the discretion of the WSS.) a. Wellbore volume to bottom perf = 180 bbls b. 4-1/2” Tubing – 9,632’ X .0152 bpf = 147 bbls c. 4-1/2”” Liner – 2,148’ X .0152 bpf = 33 bbls 7. At surface, prepare for deployment of patch. 8. Confirm well is dead. Bleed any pressure off to return tank. Kill well w/ KWF as needed. Maintain hole fill taking returns to tank until lubricator connection is re-established. Fluids man-watch must be performed while deploying perf guns to ensure the well remains killed and there is no excess flow. 9. Perform drill by picking up safety joint with TIW valve and space out before MU patch. Review well control steps with crew prior to breaking lubricator connection and commencing makeup of upper patch. Once the safety joint and TIW valve have been spaced out, keep the safety joint/TIW valve readily accessible near the working platform for quick deployment if necessary. a. At the beginning of each job, the crossover/safety joint must be physically MU to the spacer pipe to confirm the threads are compatible. 10.Break lubricator connection at QTS and begin makeup of extended patch per schedule below. Constantly monitor fluid rates pumped in and fluid returns out of the well. Fluids man-watch must be performed while deploying patch to ensure the well remains killed and there is no excess flow. Patch Schedule Use 2-7/8” STL spacer pipe or similar. Patch Interval Patch Length Weight of patch (lbs) Run #1 9,600’ – 9,750’ 150’ 960 lbs (6.4ppf) 11. Make up QTS and PT same. a. RIH with patch. Confirm snap in and set upper packer. Note any tubing pressure change in WSR. 12. Pull running tool into the lubricator. Close master valve , bleed off lubricator and lay down running tools. 13. May 17, 1996 05-11A Operations Summary Pre-Rig Work (covered under a separate Sundry) 1. R/U slick line, RIH and pull SSSV at 2208' MD. . R/U cement unit & establish an injection rate. Bullhead and squeeze perforations at 10350' - 10252' MD. Displace to leave the top of cement in 7" Liner no lower than 10152' MD, and no higher than the 3-1/2" tubing tail at 10010' MD. Pressure test as per AOGCC requirements. Total volume of cement should be 10 bbls (this will include some excess, as 77' of the perforated interval has been squeezed at a previous date.) Note: If a suitable injection rate can not be established, consider using coiled tubing for this operation. , R/U E-line, tag cmt plug, verify at least 100' above perfs. Pick up and jet cut 3-1/2" tbg just above the top of 7" packer. ( @ 9909' MD ) The planned KOP for this sidetrack is 8950' MD. , Freeze protect the top 2200' MD of inner annulus with diesel. Bleed off any pressure from tubing and inner / outer annuli. 5. Set BPV & test from below to 1000 psi. Secure well. 6. Remove the well house and flowlines. If necessary, level the pad and dig out the cellar. Rig Work: ENSURE THAT AN APPROVED PERMIT FROM THE AOGCC IS AT THE RIG PRIOR TO SPUDDING 05-11A. (Note: All work to be completed as per Recommended Practices) 1. MIRU drilling rig. . Pull BPV. Circulate out freeze protection from inner and outer annuli and recover for future use. Test 9-5/8" mandrel packoff to 5000 psi. If pack-off fails, change out packoff in Step 10 prior to cutting the section. 3. Install a TWC and test from below to 1000 psi. ND the production tree. , N/U BOP. Test BOP to 250/5000 psi against TWC. Test annular preventer to 250 /2500 psi. Remove TWC. Send adapter flange and tree to DSM for inspection and repair. . Pull and lay down the 3-1/2" tubing. (Tubing should be jet cut. Check the location and exact depth of the cut on production handover form) Inspect for NORM. Label tubing as it is laid down with well name and joint number. Install thread protectors on pipe which upon visual inspection appears to be re-usable. If tubing is salvageable, send tubing to Tuboscope for inspection. If 9-5/8" mandrel packoff did not test in Step 2, pull and replace packoff through the BOP stack. , Test casing to 3500 psi for 30 minutes to ensure casing integrity. Displace well to used FIo-Pro system for milling. POOH. . RIH with whipstock/packer combination and orient. Apply pressure to set packer at ~ 8960' MD. Pull and slack off to set whipstock. .
