Not withstanding your record of the document having been submitted on 5/8/08, we do not have record of it having been received. The log maintained by our receptionist does not have any entry for PTD 176-022 during May 2008. This is interesting since I have several electronic messages to and from Tim at that time regarding a completion report for An-24. It is indicated that in at least one message that he sent an excel 10-407 that we discussed. Regardless, it will be necessary to fife a hard copy 10-407 with original signature including the directional attachment and wellbore drawing in order to complete the file for An-24 and allow it to be officially closed out. Please attach a copy of this message as one of the first documents in the packet. With regards to the operational summary, you included 2 levels of detail in the documents most recently emailed. Neither document provides sufficient detail to adequately review what operations occurred accomplishing the well work, however in the messages exchanged with Tim a greater detailed report was previously provided (copy attached). I have already sent a copy of that operations report to the An-24 well file. Thanks for your assistance on this matter. Ca!! or message with any questions. Supervisor FROM: Lou Grimaldi SUBJECT: Abandonment Plug Verification Petroleum Inspector Chevron, Anna platform AN-24 PTD #176-022, Sundry #307-350 March 11, 2008: I witnessed the pressure test for verification of abandonment plug placement in Chevron's well "AN-24" aboard the Anna- platform. I witnessed the 2000 psi test of a cement plug founded on an bridge plug set in the 7" casing at 8880', Liner top @ 8703', Top of cement was calculated at 8537'. These depths were reported to me by Chevron rep. Dave Smith. The thirty-minute pressure test was solid after an initial fall back of approximately ~ 30 psi. Fluid in the hole was filtered inlet water. Five barrels was pumped and five barrels were returned to the trip tank during bleed down of the pressure test. Amoco proposed to substitute 7" 26# N-80 Buttress casing for 7" 26# P-il0 for the liner to be set in Granite Point 18742 Well No. 24. The P-110 casing originally allocated for this well is not required for this application, due to the use of lighter mud. The 9 ppg mud results in a maximum collapse safety factor using 26# N-80 of 1.27, well above the 1.125 specified by the Division of Oil and Gas. Amoco also proposed to set 13-3/8" surface casing at 3500 feet TMD on SMGS Unit Well No. 15. This well was permitted on the basis of 2500 feet of 13-3/8" casing. We have increased the setting depth in order to allow completion of the majority of directional work above surface casing point. The additional casing is to consist entirely of 13-3/8" 68 lb. K-55. The above changes were verbally approved by Mr. Miller. Attached are Forms 10-403 for both wells, confirming the changes.
