Supervisor FROM: Doug Amos, ~o~..] SUBSECT: Petroleum Inspector September 26, 1995 i99hizcd.doc Final Abandonment Arco PBU W. Beach St. #2 Prudhoe Oil Pool PTD No. 75-0027 Monday, September 25, 1995: I traveled to Arco's West Beach St. #2 Well to inspect the cellar excavation and to witness a 1500 PSI pressure test on the 13 3/8" X 9 5/8" Annulus. I requested this test before proceeding with the cutting below grade of the three casing string. The annulus IosA 50 PSI during the 30 minute pressure test. Tuesday, September 26, 1995: The three casing strings (20", 13 3/8", 9 5/8") were cut off 3' below the tundra level and removed. The 9 5/8" casing string dropped 2' down hole when cut however the fluid level (Diesel) remained static. I requested that a plywood bridge plug be placed on top of the 9 5/8" casing stub and the 2' void be filled with cement. This was accomplished and a 22" diameter 1/2" steel abandonment marker plate was welded to the casing stubs. The following information had been bead welded to the marker plate: Arco Alaska Inc. Prudhoe Bay Unit West Beach State #2 70' FSL, 1760' FWL, Sec. 25,T12N,R14E,UM For reference a photograph of the well abandonment marker plate is attached. Wednesday, September 27, 1995: I returned to the location and verified the back filling of the cellar and cleanup of the well site. I found the cellar area back filled but not yet contoured, all debris had been removed. There are three additional wells with wellhouse on the gravel pad. Therefore ! recommend: this well be granted Final Abandonment Status but not Final Location Clearance Status until the remaining wells are abandoned and the gravel pad removed and pad footprint reclaimed.
