No Surveys were wire lined other than orientation Surveys. Grant Oil Tool Co. A total of five stabilizers were used without any wear that affected the hole mechanically. Lack of wear can be attributed to the exellence of the product and the most part~ of the hole being dropped in angle. Jarco 4 3/4" Jars The jars were not used although they were in the string for the entire job. Their continued use is recommended. Bottomhole Location: At target H4 point: A. Existing: 21-16 was drilled a straight hole; this will be confirmed with a gyro survey. B. Proposed: 150' south of existing location. Elevation: G.L. is 148'; original K.B. is 20' above G.L. Total Depth: 11,055 Plugs: 11,008 - 11,045 Casing: 22" cemented at 35' 11 3/4" cemented at 2035' 7" 239-26#-299, N-80 and P-110 cemented at 11,045' with 600 sacks around shoe and 1200 sacks through DV at 7794'. During remedial job in 1970, found hole in casing at 217'; the 7" x 11 3/4" annulus was cemented from surface with 500 sacks. Perforations: Five 1/2" holes at 10,588' for WSO Four 1/2" holes per foot, selected intervals from 10,619' to 10,743'. Junk: None. Tubing: See attached mechanical detail. Directional: Straight hole; maximum deviation is 2°. Bad Casing: The 7" was found collapsed at 10,619' and was swedged out with 5 3/4" to T.D. Completion: July, 1963, in Hemlock 2-5 sands. Initial Production: 291/2/57 daily rate of O/W/G. Present Production: 465/36/4314 daily rate of O/W/G. Blowout Prevention Consideration: 1. Potential Problems: Proposal for Well Operations PRO 316-1 Redrill Program, SCU 21-16 A. Gas: Gas may be encountered at any t~e after releasing packers, during cleanout of 7" prior to abandonment, and while redrilling. Care must be exercised at all times not to swab well. Hemlock datum pressure at -10,300' ss (10,468' DD in 21-16) is estimated to be 4000 psi; the programmed mud weight of 80 pcf will provide 1815 psi overbalance. B. Water Entries: Extreme caution must be exercised while redrill- ing. A mud weight of up to 98 pcf ma~ be required to overbalance potential high pressure entries above the Hemlock. This well was originally drilled with 96-98 pcf lime base mud from 6400' to 11,050' without entry problems. C. Lost .Circulation: No losses occurred in original hole. However, due to low reservoir pressure, losses may occur while drilling the Hemlock with 80 pcf or higher weight mud. LCM should be kept on hand at all times. D. Precautions: Any kicks should be handled by normal procedures. Drilling crews should be made aware of these methods and care must be exercised. Hole must be kept full. 2. MaximumAnticipated Formation Pressure: Est. 4160 psi at H4 point (Hemlock target)~ Est. 5000 psi in "G" sands above Hemlock 3. Maximum.Possible Surface Pressure: 3600 psi 4. Blowout Prevention Equipment: A. As per Operating Instructions D-17. B. Class III, 10" - 5000 psi for all work. Estimated Correlations and Depths: Marker Subsea Vertical * Measured **Est. Top of plug is to be 150'+ above top of window. Downsqueeze, leaving top of plug 50'+ above window. 14. Drill out cement plug to 2' below top of window. 15. Sidetrack original hole and directionally redrill 6" hole to a total depth of 10,888' VD. A directional plat will be furnished, but the target is the base of H5 sand (H4 point) deviated 150'+ in a southerly direction; minimum structural gain on H4 point (base of H5 sand) is to be 25'. Proposal for Well Operations PRO 316-1 Redrill of SCU 21-16 Redrill operations will start with 80 pcf mud. The system is to be continually monitored and mud weight is to be increased only as required to combat high pressure entry. Excessive mud weight will result in serious loss circulation while drilling the Hemlock. 16. At T.D., condition mud for logs.
