Gilbreth, Jr. Chief Petroleum Engineer Division of Oil 6 Gas 3001 Porcupine Drive Anchorage, Alaska 99504 Dear Sir: Reference is made to Sundry Notice submitted December 21, 1971, concerning the change in surface location of Bachatna Creek Unit #1. This notice was inadvertently' marked as a gas well. The notice should have been submitted as an exploratory well. Please change this on your records to reflect the correction. Very .l:rt~J.y you] District Drill ~Superintendent cc- Wade HcAlister Note to files UN ION BACHATNA CREEK UN IT NO. ! On Sunday night January 2, 1972, Mr. Ben Tally called to secure approval for abandonment of the subject well. I agreed to abendoning the well in such a matter that the West Foreland and Hemlock would be separated. ~he Hemlock and Tyonek would be separated and a I00' plug would be placed inside and outside the surface casing which was set around 700' and a I00' lineal plug would be set at the surface. Since the location is above high tide mar~, the conventional dry-hole marker is to be in- stalled with the operator's name, lease and well number, and the quarter section, ~~1 township and range are to be noted on the marker. Mr. Tailey advised that they were working on an ice freeze-up type location and that all work, including clean-up work would have to be consumated very rapidly. And they would have the location ready for final inspection in the very near future. They will be moving to well no. 3 very soon and ! advised him we would want to check the BOPs prior to drilling out surface casing. He said there would be no problem in this and would keep me advised. REV. 9-30-69 & "Subsequent Reports" in Duplicate I C.
