Due to mechanical conditions, we propose to abandon the above well approximately 12/1/77
as follows:
1. Set bridge plug at 100' (80' below base flange) in 13-3/8" 68# casing.
2. Fill 13-3/8" casing above 100' bridge plug with cement, leaving diesel below bridge
plug as a non-freezing fluid, through the permafrost to a bridge plug presently in-
stalled at 2590'.
3. Well B-5 will be applied for at
cellar. We therefore request a
convenience.
4. Well top will be sealed off below ground level after cement surface plug is placed.

The casing swab or cup tester should be run in to the diesel. The
upper diesel displaced with water. Only when the casing is satis-
factorily flushed with water the casing could be cut and beveled"
2The brine would consist of fresh water with the following additives
for each barrel of final fluid: Salt 98 lbs.; Soda Ash 22 lbs. The
fresh water should be heated to 70-800 prior to mixing of salt and
soda ash.
3The diesel inside the 10-3/4" casing should be displaced in a tank
and used for the cushion on the DST. If this can be accomplished,
it would result in a cost savings of almost $4,000.
4The brine solution should be circulated over the shakers one cycle
and the weight corr~cted, if required. The 'diesel should be circu-
lated to a tank and reused on the second DST. After the second DST,
the diesel should be circulated to the burn pit and disposed by
burning.
5The ce.ment will fill up 125 feet inside 9-5/8" casing. The excess
cement should be reversed out.
'" fÞ ..
6The well will be underbalanced. In the event of a casing failure or
plug leak, it will come to see you immediately. The only advanced
warning would be' a,<'s'udden flòw of air" In: the event'- of this"~nlikely
occurrence, the well should be shut in immediately.

CH ANGE PLA/I1S
flow test
We propose to re-enter the subject well on or about September 15, 1970 in order to:-
a) Install completion equipment including insulation sleeve.
b) Carry out a flow testing program in the Sadlerochit formation.
c) Test the downhole tools and surface control equipment.
d) Leave the well closed in as a single zone annulus/tubing producer
from the Sadlerochit formation with a surface controlled safety
valve installed at approximately 2300 ft.
During the above operations, the well will be equipped either with 12"
3000 psi BOPs or a 13-518" 5000 psi production stack.

Drill mud waste sump will be dyked as shown in Draw-
ing No. A-llD-A-2, using the skim of surface material
from the bottom ,to seal the sides of the gravel dyke.
Cellars for each wellhead will collect excess fluids
from rig operations and will be regularly pumped out.
Cellars will be covered when no rig is over well site.
(See Drawing A-llD-M-l).
The sewage burn pit will be dyked and fenced to prevent
persons and animals from accidental entry.
Fuel storage tanks will be dyked and fenced to prevent
vehicles approaching too close and to contain any
spiilage in the event of tank rupture.
. At no time will the activities planned for this site
mov~ off the graveled areas.
Pad will be approached from the main spine road by
gravel road laid 5 feet thick and having a 22 foot
carriageway. (See Drawing A-4D-A-5, Issue B).
All roads are surveyed in to avoid lakes, and culverts
are used to allow the natural run of surface water.
Very truly yours,
. BP ALA¡s/;-mc.
