Attention: Mr. Homer L. Burrell, Chairman
Gentlemen:
Put River BP 10-11-13 R.D.
In reply to your letter of October 3 requesting a completed Form P-7
showing the disposition of the drilling operation approved under Per-
mit No. 69-43, we enclose a "Sequence of Events" pertaining to the
above well'and leading to the present situation.
We believe it possible that some confusion exists because of.Items #1
and #4 on the list of events. These are not two different.holes, but
the correction of an error in surface location when the rig was set
down in a sequence different from the original intention. The change
of bottom hole location was as a result of discussions between your
technical staff and ours, and related to the final position within the
block with a view to future spacing design.
Therefore, in spite of all the various correspondence which .has taken
place, this has all related to the same physical hole in the ground,
and our rig is currently drilling in that same hole according to the
latest permit (Item #13, Permit #69-43).
The P-7 Form is your Completion Report, and this well is im fact not
yet complete. If it is now to be called BP 10-11-13 R.D. we appreciate
that BP 10-11-13 must be closed in the books, but we would appreciate
your advice as to the method.

Re: Put River BP 10-11-13
sec 10, TllN, R13E, UPM'
Dear Mr. Larminie:
In reference to the subject drill-site, the following stipulations are
required to preserve and protect fish and game resources:
1. Prior to start of drilling, a gravel pad of sufficient thickness
to prevent degradation of permafrost will be constructed.
a. Access' to this site shall be by all-season gravel road
or by aircraft.
b. Access to this site by winter road will be only when surface
conditions are such that land damage will not occur.
2. Prior to the beginning of drilling, a sump of sufficient size to
contain all waste fluids will be constructed. This sump must be
lined with material impervious to oil and oil products at
seasons during the year. Prior to abandonment of the site, the
sump must be cleaned of all oil and covered.
3. The operator must dispose of all waste, including garbage, by
burning, with non-combustible material and un-burned residue
disposed of in a manner and in a location acceptable to the
Alaska Department of Fish and Game, i.e., in some locations
burial may be suitable, in others removal from the site may
be necessary.
Sewage and waste water will be disposed of by lagooning or the
cesspool-septic tank method. No stream or body of water will have
any sewage or waste water added to it.
5. The' Habitat Biologist's Office, 1018 East International Airport
Road, Anchorage, Alaska 99502, will be notified prior to abandonment
of this location.

Put River BP 10'11,13 - Permit No. 69'43
This ~s to inform you of our wish to move the bottom hole location of this
well some 933 feet to the southwest.. It is our intention, following the
discussioms last month between our Messrs. Stoneley and Allen and the Oil
& Gas Divisiom, to aim each of our deviated wells at the center of the NE/4
of the SW/4 of each section, rather than to the center point of the section.
The bo~p~ hole location of the sUbject well will therefore be: 1980' ~NSL,
l~980'/~>Section 10, TllN, R13E, UPM, and we shall be grateful ~'f~you will
make t~ .necesSary amendments to our drilling permit. ~
The surface hole for this well has already been drilled with our light rig
to a depth of 1,109 feet and 20" casing run to 931 feet, but we do not anti-
cipate moving the big rig onto the location until late August, 1969.
