When Jon Sallstrom (ADOT &PF) called I went thru the file searching for photos showing area north toward fence, looking for something that could be his suspect pipe. I didn't see anything that would help solve the mystery — our focus was at the well and equipment access from the tarmac to the east. If any other questions please call, Bryan Bryan D. Supervisor MEMORANDUM THRU: FROM: Lou Grimaldi, Petroleum Inspector SUBJECT: location Inspection SOCAl31-25 ChevronlT exaco PTD 169-098 Thursdav. Auaust 26. 2004: I made a location Inspection on ChevronlTexaco abandoned exploratory well "SOCAl 31-25". I was accompanied today by Keith Hall (Chevron/Texaco) and Bryan Lund (Mactec Engineering). This exploratory location was lies adjacent to the NNE side of the Deadhorse airport, approximately 20-30 feet from the present apron. It was explained to me that the DOT plans to extend the apron and this will cover over the welL I observed what appeared to be the top of a 9 5/8 or 10 % casing head with the casing valve flanges underground. On top of the casing head was a well-fitted 4- inch/5000-adapter flange with a 4-inch hammer union in the center, this union is what holds the present monument to the wellhead. The apron closest to the wellhead appeared to be 4-5 feet above the flange on the wellhead.
